Chris came out and immediately identified we had at least 2 copperhead snakes in our backyard.

We had a very unsettling experience with this animal control company. They sent a local contractor…read moreto our home, and from the start his behavior was odd and unprofessional. He made a big show of holstering a firearm when he arrived(showing off). During the removal of a dead animal from the attic, he handled the situation in a completely inappropriate manner and threw the animal toward us instead of disposing of it properly. This was unsanitary and entirely unnecessary. Given the nature of this type of work, I expected professionalism and basic respect for the homeowner. That was not what we received. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this company and would advise others to proceed with caution.

They must spend a lot of money on internet marketing because they show up on the first page of…read moreevery search! It paid off in my case because I ended up scheduling with them to remove birds from a bathroom vent. I chose them because their webpage was so detailed about how they treat specific wildlife problems but mainly because they advertise a special vacuum for bird nests in vents. A man came out on our scheduled day. He manually removed a trash bag full of nesting and dead birds through the fan hole on the ceiling, placed a vent cover on the exterior & we paid to borrow a glorified air purifier as recommended. While he did negotiate with my bf on the pricing, we still ended up paying around $450 and never had our vent vacuumed. I'm positive there is nesting left behind. The website states that the affected area will be "disinfected with an insecticide and disinfectant to kill all the possible health hazards posed by birds in you vents." This literally consists of spraying the reachable areas with plain old alcohol. I did a good amount of the cleanup & disinfecting over the following few days as my bathroom was left a mess. I totally expected my vent to be thoroughly cleaned & disinfected as we had dead birds, bugs & all. I kept bags over the vent for months after because dead bugs were still falling out. I was not at home for this service so I called shortly after the visit to inquire about the vacuum since that is the main reason I chose them AND specifically asked for it when scheduling. I let him know bugs were still falling from the vent. In so many words I was told the employee who scheduled my appt gave me the wrong info and no longer works there. What!?! I can't properly express in print how shady that convo was. He said I would have to shell out an additional $250 for the vacuum. No thanks. Not only because I did not receive the service I requested but because of your super shady explanation. While I'm very glad to of had the main issue resolved, I will never use this company again and recommend for others to do research. They have low stars for a reason.

We found Summit as I was perusing companies to install fresh insulation in our attic, as our house…read moreis so cold, we have friends that actually refuse to come to our home during the winter . I chose Summit only because they were the first company to respond to my appointment request. I am happy I chose them. The office end of the business could use some tightening up, as they don't seem overly organized, but the tech was great. For this review, we will call him Jason, as he looks just like our friend Jason. Jason was on time, polite, patient, presentable, friendly and knowledgeable. He sat down with us to discuss options, procedures and costs and gave us the estimate right then and there. He didn't try to up-sell us and actually talked us out of the pricier spray insulation that we had assumed we wanted. For our needs, we found the prices reasonable and we scheduled the service and 50% deposit thru the office. (The women are very nice, they just need to communicate amongst themselves a bit better, cause there was some moderate confusion emanating from that end). I thought Jason would be here to oversee install, but instead, it was 3 nice guys that were super efficient, courteous and tidy. The men laid cloth to cover the entire path they would be walking on through our house. They were also so helpful in making sure our cats and dogs didn't try to escape as they were going in and out the front door. I even learned a few new Spanish words from them. Seriously nice guys. Anyway, they also removed a random, very heavy box of concrete mix from the attic for me and were able to create a small storage area without insulation on it, which was very thoughtful and helpful. They were meticulous in cleaning up and were in and out within 2 hours or so. They were even courteous enough to remember to lock our windows behind them (they ran the blower hose from the truck thru our upper windows). Normally, my husband and I don't like new contractors in the house with me when he is out of town, but I was very comfortable with this group. The insulation is excellent, (clean, allergen and fiberglass free) just as Jason described and I can totally feel the difference in the inside air temperature. 5 stars for product, immediate quote, fair price, Jason and the install crew. Minus 1 star for the slightly unorganized office from the get-go. I also never got a follow up from them after the product was installed. Simply an auotomate emailed "invoice paid" noting they charged us the balance over a week after install. Highly recommend!

We DO NOT RECOMMEND Summit Environmental Solutions. We experienced serious issues with…read morecommunication, scope clarity, and accountability. We hired Summit to address water intrusion in our basement and to perform mold-related work. As part of the plan, Summit's project manager explicitly discussed using a fogging sanitizer to "kill the mold" and told us we would need to vacate the home with our pets during application. We later learned--only when we called to schedule the fogging treatment--that Summit claimed the fogging had already been completed. Their written invoice also included the line item "apply fogging sanitizer to basement." This was alarming because it coincided with a strong chemical odor in our home and new health concerns that arose immediately after their crew finished work. We have text messages from the project manager stating that the mold was "dead" and confirming the treatment had been done. After we raised concerns about the timing and potential exposure, Summit changed their position and said the fogging had not been performed. Throughout this process, Summit provided conflicting explanations about what work was done and when. Also, they were unable to identify appropriate certified oversight for mold remediation, despite having represented mold-killing treatment as part of the scope of work. Two independent remediation companies later confirmed that Summit's proposed approach was insufficient, and we ultimately had to hire another certified firm to properly remediate the space, including removal of walls and performing HEPA treatment. Only after our firm insistence, Summit eventually offered a very limited discount for the issues, but never acknowledged or apologize for the confusion, protocol concerns, or the impact this situation had on us. We pursued resolution through formal channels, including the BBB and state agencies. Based on our experience, we DO NOT RECOMMEND Summit Environmental Solutions. Anyone considering them should be sure to get all representations in writing, independently verify certifications up front, and ensure there is no ambiguity about what services will actually be performed.
