Alex came during the specified timeframe and cleaned my dryer vent but to my surprise, there was no cleanup afterwards. He said there was a lot of junk in the vent but didn't indicate I needed to do the cleaning myself. I have never had a home service where they don't clean up afterwards. Photos attached. read more

I called JJCG and spoke with Missy who was professional and helpful. The exterminator arrived first thing this morning and had a little squirrel out in about 30 minutes. The squirrel had been chased into the house by our dog and was unable/ unwilling to come out from behind a radiator that is built into the wall. Please obtain more than one quote from different companies!! Even if an animal or pest isn't trapped, the customer is still expected to pay the inflated price, $775.00 for visiting the home for less than 10 min to walk to the trap without providing any updates. There are other companies that have a goal of being a reputable company while providing great service instead of only to collect money regardless if the payment is warranted!! The former company that rendered services provided extra days because they warranty their service. Stay clear of this company. I wish I had read the reviews regarding inflated pricing!!!! Do not hire unless you want to either pay the inspection/estimate fee $95( to come out and look) or go with the entire exact Estimate! - skunk problem under my small porch= $810 - I asked for 2 items:hand trench and install wire on the estimate as we had installed our own one-way door & sprinkled white flour so we knew 100% The skunk never returned - disinfecting and using a pheromone is $279!! I spoke with Virginia wildlife & they did not think this was. necessary or needed or knew what they would use. - they didn't want to redo the estimate but they did - they kept another item on the new Estimate:hand backfill: putting the dirt back & I didn't want this done - on the phone they say they will apply the $95 inspection fee toward the estimate if you hire them but what they mean is they will void The inspection fee. this is not ON the estimate. I received emails with both the estimate and inspection fees - paid the $95 inspection fee and did not hire them - learned later other companies do not charge to come out to inspect and give you an estimate. read more

They answered questions and arrived on time (which is a huge plus) for each time they had to come out. This is the worst company you could hire. They charged $300 to remove the nest and patch a hole on the side of the house but left the bird inside. We could hear the birds fluttering above the vent even after the work was completed. We called them to come take out the bird and Missy who we spoke to on the phone confirmed that these people will come out again and go to the attic and remove the bird at no cost since they did not do a walkthrough the first time and that we wont be charged. The servicemen came back (2 hours later than their scheduled time) and again started demanding the money for the job they never finished and already got paid for. Absolutely disgusting, dishonest, contentious employees. Stay clear of them. They cheat customers and put them through so much harassment. Their customer support is horrible and never pick up calls. Their servicemen are extremely rude and will try to swindle money out of you. I had asked him to put the vent covers to which he said it would be $50 more. I agreed to the cost and when he finished the job, he said it would be $440 for the vent covers. That's outrageous. I have never seen a company this dishonest! Save your time and money and go to other companies out there. read more

Had them come to my house to give me an estimate for snake removal. I showed the employee where the snakes were and he advised me what they could do, sticky traps etc. I thought the estimate was too high, $1400, so I did not get their service. Part of their "deal" is the price of the "consultation" is taken off the fee. I agreed to pay the consultation fee under protest since I felt like I got NOTHING from them. $200 for someone to tell me I have snakes, really? Thanks for nothing. Very happy with service and responsiveness. Have had issues for a while with birds nesting in exhaust fan ducts and then that situation attracting snakes. I wasn't crazy re the looks of duct guards and kind of thought, it's nature. Until a baby bird died in a duct. Stinky! And then there was the death struggle between a snake in a duct and a starling coming back to the nest. So I called Jesse James in the morning and by 1 pm the ducts were cleaned and sanitized and covers installed. I'll live with the covers. The technician was very nice, polite, respectful of my property (and social distance in these times - also wore a mask but probably does anyway). It wasn't cheap but he was here nearly 2 hours. Jesse gave me a heads-up phone call prior to his on-time arrival. He assessed the situation quickly and accurately. He gave me options and wasn't trying to push or sell me anything. We've got a one-way door with a live trap on the hole where the squirrels chewed their way into the eaves of my house. It would have been easy to simply stop up the hole and call it a day. Instead he went the more thorough route of setting live traps for the actual offender. If he would have simply plugged the hole, they were likely to just find another place to chew their way in. Additionally he took a thermal imaging camera around the wall and roof areas to see if there was anything sleeping in the walls or eves. A real 'do it right the first time' attitude. Had these guys out to my house this morning and they were amazing. Polite, professional, and fair. Based on movement over many hours, I had convinced myself there was a racoon in my attic. Before going to the attic, they did a thorough inspection of my house by walking around it and looking at every corner of my roof (from on top of the roof). Then they did a thorough inspection of my attic. Although they found no evidence of an animal (other than a dead mouse), we discussed the possibility of a bird or squirrel having entered and departed. Then they closed off the one place where wildlife could have entered. They were great about answering my questions related to preventing future issues throughout their hour+ long visit. The person who answers the phone was very nice and accommodating but I did have to follow up my voicemail with an email. Not sure which contact triggered them calling me back but it took a little over two hours for them to call me back. Paid by credit card and they emailed me my receipt immediately. read more

Mistaken identity. I had trapped Mr. Possum in my breezeway, but after it was trapped, I was too scared to carry it off and release it. So, I called Jesse early in the morning, he returned my call within the hour. Jesse was at my house within hours of my phone call for help. As Jesse approached the trap, he immediately identified Mr. Possum as Mrs. Possum with her 20+ babies on her stomach! OMG! I never noticed any babies!! Jesse explained that possums are like kangaroos, they have pouches for their young to be safe. Jesse handled the transfer of the possum from my cage to his extremely calmly; and was happy to rehome this possum family far from my home. Jesse took the time to explain what I needed to change and how to prevent wildlife from entering my residence in the future. The fee for services was very fair, and timely. Response was immediate! We had a dead animal in our crawl space. We called ACS wildlife removal. They charged $65 just to come out, and told us we needed to knock out the wall and it would be $1600. The guy didn't even know where the animal was......We called Jesse he came right out, crawled under our house, which is a no easy task, found the dead possum and got rid of it.
