Some pretty weak complaints in the 1 star category here. This place is great. Knowledgable staff and great work. They got my 2014 Bianchi Volpe tuned up and upgraded. Turns out they even supe up walkers!

Summit has been great, this review is overdue. I came by in June/July 2023 to buy two bikes, a Santa Cruz Bullit and Bronson. I am very specific about my needs as well as my cousin and Anthony and Chris are awesome to work with. Anthony had been able to work with me and get the particular needs squared away and handled the logistical supply chain issues with very reasonable options. Chris was able to help make sure everything was coming in and making sure things were to what our preferences were. Believe he is back at the Los Gatos shop now. They've also worked on a full rebuild of a Fox 36 Factory fork brought in for service and if you buy a bike from them there is a discount to services.

Expensive and the staff are not very attentive. If you look like you can't afford to buy their bikes they wont talk to you.

Walked into Cognition Cyclery expecting a standard tune-up and left feeling like I didn't belong. I…read morewas told--loudly--that they "only work on Specialized bikes," and anything else they can't do because of the parts. Had they taken the time to talk to me about switching parts, I would've easily been persuaded. I'm also a regular customer at the store. The fact that I was just treated like that saddens me. They simply don't care. That's fine if it's your business model, but the delivery was unnecessarily dismissive and came off as elitist. Not everyone rides a top-tier brand, and that shouldn't mean being treated like you're wasting their time. I was prepared to spend a few hundred dollars on a tune up and more for repairing my crumbling wheel, but clearly that wasn't the issue--the brand of my bike was. There are plenty of shops that value customers regardless of what they ride. I'll be taking my business to one of them. Note: I found a better bike shop that will support all bikes and treat you well well providing their service. You can avoid the snobbery of Cognition cycle. Go to Woodside Bike Shop. They're very friendly, very efficient, reasonably priced and they do great work. I am so GLAD to have found this location by the powers of Google as it's very close to where I live and traffic/parking will never be an issue. Paige & Kevin are awesome guys, and I received great tips for keeping my bike in tip-top shape. I hopped on the bike the moment I got home and took it for a mini test ride around my driveway and I could instantly feel the difference from before. It's a brand-new bike all around!!! Super thanks to you all!

As a SSF resident and an owner of several Specialized bikes, I was stoked to find they have opened…read morean authorized service and sales shop so close by. Recently, I've had 2 separate experiences within a week a week of each other. The first one, I was selling a bike on CL. A buyer living in Colorado asked if I could ship the bike and I was reluctant to do it. I suggested he call Specialized Bay Area to see if they can handle the packing and shipping of the bike, basically taking liability to get it shipped there. The transaction worked out perfectly where the buyer dealt directly with SBA on the shipping. Buyer Venmo'd me payment and received his bike in 3 days! Kudos to SBA for offering this service! The second experience. I was gonna go for a ride on the Levo this morning. Found a broken spoke. I texted the SBA and explained my problem, gave them a copy of my registration of the Roval wheels, and they said to drop it off any time. I stopped in @ 4pm on a Friday thinking to pick it up next week. One of the managers, Yoav replaced it on the spot, trued the wheel, lubed all the nipples, installed factory tubeless tape, all within 10 minutes! Best of all, the spoke repair was covered under warranty! Actually, the best of all was the staff were friendly and personable. :-) My bike was down for only a few hours! By far, the best experience I have had with a bike shop. I hope they stick around because I want I work here when I retire. Specialized for life!
