Nolan with his repair truck. Very professional and organized.
Raghu M.

Nolan was thorough, detailed and did excellent job in fixing my mountain bike to spec. He is knows his stuff well so you can be assured the quality of work is excellent. On top of this he is very professional and the convenience of him coming to your place to do the fix in his van is perfect. He has earned a customer for lifetime!

If I could give Nolan a 10, I would! Super nice guy. Met him at the farmers market and had to call him bc I dropped my e-bike. I misunderstood the scheduling process, and he went out of his way to accommodate my only day off! He was quick to figure out what was wrong with my bike and also fixed my dented fender. He's knowledgeable and passionate about his bikes. He's my go to guy now while I'm working up here in the bay!

I trust my baby to my bike! :)

Ask the Community - Atlas Cycles

Hello, I have a citizen foldable bike with 16 inch wheels and I would like to ask how much is it to get looked at for a tuneup maybe, to adjust my brakes and help me fix my seat post? My seat post is too tight and it's hard to adjust. Thank you.

Hello Joseph, A general tune-up is $150 and includes a comprehensive adjurent of all thr bicycles… Read more

I brought it to Barbary Coast and had a great conversation with George about what I wanted fixed, issues I was having, and solutions. George was very transparent about price and lead time on both parts and service. When I arrived to pickup my bike I was blown away by their attention to detail and quality of service. -Bars taped perfectly. -Drivetrain was extremely clean and silent, with perfect crisp shifting. -Wheels true. -Hubs rolling smooth. -Brakes bleed with a sharp bite to them. - They even took the time to scotch bright my titanium frame bringing it back to new condition. There were some parts I hadn't anticipated needing to change but George and the staff at Barbary Coast caught them and reached out to me regarding the issues. This shop clearly takes pride in the quality of their service and treated me and my bike accordingly.

They agreed that their price was shocking, and referred me to Bike Kitchen, a non-profit volunteer-run DIY bike repair shop, which helped me repair my bike for $50 worth of parts. I went to Spokeasy to buy an attachment for my bicycle pump, specifically for a dog stroller. Anson…read morekindly offered to pump up the stroller tires for me. My dog was still in the stroller, and I asked multiple times whether I should remove her. I was concerned about the weight on the tires and bearings while he was servicing it, and my dog was visibly uncomfortable with him lifting the stroller while she was inside. He picked up the stroller several times by the front wheel, which seemed awkward at the time. As soon as I left, I realized the front swivel wheel was no longer functioning properly. It now defaults to facing backwards (180°), and the tire rubs against the swivel with every turn. This made it extremely difficult to get my dog home, especially because she has mobility issues. The stroller is not a luxury item for us -- it's something I rely on every single day for my dog, groceries, laundry, and basic errands. When I told my son what happened, he mentioned that he had a similar experience at the same shop a couple of weeks ago. He and a friend brought in a bike with a brake issue. The shop offered to help and didn't charge them, but whatever was done made the bike worse. Sending a kid out with a bike in worse condition than it came in is a safety issue, especially since my son recently had a serious fall due to a mechanical problem. I understand that Spokeasy didn't charge us for these services, but free work still needs to be safe and competent. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. For these reasons, I can only give Spokeasy one star.

The stem on the new tubes are aero 40 or 60mm, instead of 20mm, but that's just aesthetics, so anyway- Big Thank you for getting to it right away!...
