Before -- no pedal, torn threading, critical condition and wasn't sure they'd be able to find the right parts (but they did!)

Incredible friendly service, and so knowledgeable. I brought in a bike that needed some serious work. Other bike shops are hesitant to take projects like this or they just flat out are not interested, but I was treated with such care at Ocean Cyclery! My bike came back in stellar shape in only 2 working days. Very grateful and I could not recommend them more! Thank you!

Jeff and Sabine have been great keeping me updated on the bike I ordered from specialized. Built it up proper, showed me how to use a few things on the bike, added peddles i brought in and sent me on my way. They let me know to come back for any tweaks as the bike breaks in. Great shop run by great people. Update: after a few rides I had some cable stretch and Jeff fixed it in 10 mins when i dropped by the shop. Will def be back for tuneups and accessories.

    Incredible experience!!

They are a real asset to the hardcore cyclists and families of the City. You can make an appointment for Tuesdays to Thursdays.

They sell a kinda of curated goods from a small selection of tools, lubricants, snacks, and gear. I bought some very well fitted gloves there. What really impressed me was the way they operated the store. It got busy at one point and chilled out... then it got busy again, and they did not miss a beat! But on top of all of that, they were servicing bikes that had appointments or walked in, all at the same time! I was able to bring my bike in, but I also saw they had those bike repair racks in the front and back of the store - they're not playing around. I saw someone walk in with their bike listing off a bunch of stuff he wanted to look into fixing, and the staff person in the front immediately threw it on the repair rack and said 'let's take a look'. They also have this roller situation setup in the front where they can take your bike and run it in place to show what it does while in motion. This place means business and they are super friendly! I wish I had something like this closer to home, this store is doing a service to their local community.

Everything went smooth and as expected as far as sales expectations and experience. Where they absolutely exceeded expectations was in the service department. I've been treated like family here in the way they receive me and take care of my bikes. Not just regular service either. Sometimes I work on my bikes and screw things up. I've been dissed by snooty shops in the past (American Cyclery, if they got payed for attitude they'd be rich). But not here, nothing but love. Additionaly I recently crashed my beloved new SC Stigmata at high speed causing all kinds of mechanical havoc. Not only were the service staff kind but extremely proficient in mechanicals to reset everything nicely and get me riding again. Shout out to Devynn and Rene (and other staff for sure) for setting the gold standard in professionalism. It is very difficult to write good reviews for bike shops, but not this one is easy. 6 stars ****** Maximum appreciation for this business

If you are not willing to fix a flat on wheel I offer to take off my bike and give you, at least be polite about it. I got the feeling Mike's Bikes is too good for average commuters like me. I went to Spokeasy to buy an attachment for my bicycle pump, specifically for a dog stroller. Anson…read morekindly offered to pump up the stroller tires for me. My dog was still in the stroller, and I asked multiple times whether I should remove her. I was concerned about the weight on the tires and bearings while he was servicing it, and my dog was visibly uncomfortable with him lifting the stroller while she was inside. He picked up the stroller several times by the front wheel, which seemed awkward at the time. As soon as I left, I realized the front swivel wheel was no longer functioning properly. It now defaults to facing backwards (180°), and the tire rubs against the swivel with every turn. This made it extremely difficult to get my dog home, especially because she has mobility issues. The stroller is not a luxury item for us -- it's something I rely on every single day for my dog, groceries, laundry, and basic errands. When I told my son what happened, he mentioned that he had a similar experience at the same shop a couple of weeks ago. He and a friend brought in a bike with a brake issue. The shop offered to help and didn't charge them, but whatever was done made the bike worse. Sending a kid out with a bike in worse condition than it came in is a safety issue, especially since my son recently had a serious fall due to a mechanical problem. I understand that Spokeasy didn't charge us for these services, but free work still needs to be safe and competent. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. For these reasons, I can only give Spokeasy one star.
