What an amazing place for repairs. Brought in a bike and they had it fixed in no time. It was such simple repair they didn't even charge anything. They also took the time to educate us as to what was wrong and what was being repaired... and that's how I learned the the OTHER shop I took the bike to previously probably repaired something that didn't need to be repaired but charged me $300. Nice... They came recommended by several different friends and now, I know why. Honest guys who do good work. High recommend. read more

This shop is flat out the best place to go in the bay area if you're a mountain biker. Nick, the shop owner is fantastic. Knowledgeable, enthusiastic, curious, helpful. Great guy. Mechanic team is outstanding. The've solved more tricky (and easy!) problems for me than I can count. I've bought a couple new bikes from them, and always SUPER happy. I live locally, but the folks in my MTB group literally travel from South San Jose...this shop is THAT good. read more

Belmont Bikes is awesome. Owner Nick, a fellow vet, knows his craft. Picked up my Rise LT and based on our conversations, it was already dialed in, no tweaking necessary. And when the dropper post broke (rider error), his team was on it, no appts, no downtime...and NO CHARGE! Great purchase and even greater customer service! read more

Belmont Bikes is my most favorite bike shop of all time, and Nick the owner is one of the nicest, most helpful person I've ever interacted with! I recently purchased my Pivot Shuttle AM from Nick at Belmont Bikes and it was an excellent 5/5 experience. Since then I requested him to do some additional tweaks to the bike, a different fork, mullet setup and a few other adjustments. As before, Nick is great to work with, very helpful and got my bike dialed in completely. I'm a customer for life at Belmont Bikes - Highly recommended! read more

I'm an old lady who still rides an old Brooks 3 speed bike. I am very attached to that bike but it has become harder to balance on my toes when seated. After falling once, I decided I needed to find a way to be safer on that bike. Not possible, I was told. "The seat is as low as it can be", which was true. But Belmont bikes thought about it for a bit and found a fix--they cut the seat post down so now my feet are more firmly on the ground. Nice to meet someone who thought a bit outside the box, and had success, plus doing a few small maintenance items. Thank you. read more

Belmont Bike Shop is the best MTB shop in the area. I recently brought my bike in for a brake bleed and was impressed how fast and efficient Nathan was--he had me back on the trail in no time, and the bleed was perfect. You can tell he really knows his craft. The owner, Nick, is incredibly welcoming and genuinely cares about his customers. The whole place has a great, down-to-earth vibe, and it's clear they're passionate about bikes and the local riding community. Highly recommend this shop for both service and good people! read more

Extremely Disappointed - Poor Service and Unkept Promises I will never go back to this shop. I had to bring my bike in twice for a simple creaking issue--after they already had it for two weeks the first time. The bigger issue was a warranty replacement part I was told would arrive in "about five days." I followed up weekly for two months, calling nine times, and was told each time that they would get back to me. They never did. Eventually, I was told to just call the manufacturer myself. When I explained my frustration, the owner (Nick) responded by cursing at me. Incredibly unprofessional. I contacted the manufacturer (Race Face) directly and they were extremely helpful--and confirmed they had never even been contacted by Belmont Bikes. I have paperwork from Belmont Bikes saying they would handle this for me, but they clearly never did. I was misled repeatedly, treated rudely, and ultimately had to resolve the issue on my own. This shop made promises they didn't keep and offered some of the worst customer service I've ever experienced. read more

These guys are so knowledgeable and nice. They added sealant to my tubeless tires, and tightened the valves at no labor cost. Also noticed that my brake pads were going to need replacing soon--which I could feel on my rides but didn't realize how bad they'd gotten. Definitely going back to have that done tomorrow. read more

Awesome staff! Great new location with easy parking right in front. Super helpful and friendly when we needed to repair one of our bikes. They went above and beyond and checked and tuned the entire bike when we just needed one tire repaired. They are professionals! And super nice. So glad they're at this new location now. read more

I purchased a used bike, and had squeaky breaks, it was very embarrassing. After trying every YouTube video and doing a self repair, with no success I need professional help. I decided to give Belmont Bikes a try. I was extremely pleased with the customer service, repair, and experience that was provided by Belmont Bikes. In all the years I have been coming to this shopping center, I've always thought we needed a service that brings the community together. Belmont Bikes is it! The owner Nick and technicians Jon and A.J. are helpful, friendly, and simply know bikes! I will not be going elsewhere when it comes to bikes, this is my shop. I also witnessed the owner welcoming teens into the shop, this business makes everyone welcome; truly we need more lights in our community like Belmont Bikes. If you need bike servicing I'd recommend Belmont Bikes! read more

Wow, in a bad way. Two weeks ago I went to a friends ranch. He had two very fine-mountain bikes. I hadn't ridden a peddle assist bike yet and was amazed (and hooked). Banns and I had a month long road trip ahead for our 30th anniversary. We are hitting a handful of National Parks. . Figured we could cover twice or 3x the distance with the same time and effort. So a last minute move was to add two e-bikes to our quiver of "fun" styles. My friend says he got them from Nick at Belmont Bikes. I call Nick. My friend had already called and prepped him. Nick has a deal waiting. It was a good deal - it only for the two bikes Nick wanted me to buy (which were matching e-mountain bikes.) When I tried to explain to Nick that my wife wouldn't ride the mountain bike but she would love a road bike (with a front suspension) and a cushy seat, Nick turned Jeckle/Hyde on me. His initial reaction when i said I would take 1 of those (not 2) and then I asked about another bike for my wife (the second bike) Nick's reaction was to pretend he was looking something up for me and made me wait a full two min before coming back on the phone to say "Dude I can't deal with this right now" and hung up on me. Yes, he hung up on me, unprovoked. I was bummed but wanted to buy two e-bikes and only had a week before our trip. So I call back. It takes a bit to get to Nick. When I finally get him I explain that I am trying to buy TWO e-bikes and that I was sorry they wouldn't be the ones he wanted to sell but that I was still going to spend upwards of $8k so that I hoped he could still help. He then literally ranted about how his price was for "his" deal and that anything else would be different and have less of a discount. When I said OK, I wanted one of "his" models for me and and then asked to talk about a model for my wife, he said "Dude, I don't have time for this" and hung up again. Hey Nick, I called Mike's Bike and Menlo Velo. They both were super busy but were kind and courteous. While I wanted to buy local in Menlo Park, Mike's bikes had the models I needed in stock, were willing to deal on 2 bikes. I had them home with me that night. Thanks to @mike'sbikes and @menlovelo and @thebikeshop for helping to make my wife and my 30th anniversary special. Shame on Nick and Belmont Bike. Poor service. Rude owner. Ike's sites are intended to be great local businesses who create a community of followers and clients. Too bad Belmont has to deal with Nick and Belmont Bikes. Good news those from Belmont don't have to go far for incredible customer service (in nearby cities). NOT RECOMMENDED. read more

Very knowledgeable crew and they carry the best of the best products! One stop shop for your high performance needs.

Allot of mountain bikes is what I could see when entering, 3 folks in the front and 2 visible in the back working on bike repairs or maintenance The staff is helpful, prices are decent, stock wise I saw more mountain bikes, allot of hard tails, some with the fairly large bike tires, bigger then mountain bike tires bought 9speed chain replacement and some lube for the bike, very informative group, super helpful and friendly Big brown dog (Brown Labrador) that has a large pillow in the front of the store, just be aware he walks around if you have small kids (that are scared of big dogs), dog will not bother them just a heads up due to covid 19 the maintenance is 8days out just for them to see your bike I will have to come back when in the are for parts or more tips for my bike bikes **** mostly mountain bikes price $-$$$ depends what you are buying service ***** very helpful ambiance **** narrow walkway to back, I believe this is set up like this due to covid read more

Belmont Bikes is our absolute favorite bike shop on the Peninsula! We discovered this gem when my son's tire blew while riding above Carlmont. Belmont Bikes was able to help us in the moment - they were so fast and went above and beyond. We've returned multiple times since - you will always be greeted immediately and welcomed with a warm smile and a "how can we help you?" The entire team is well versed and it is clear they are biking aficionados themselves - they know their products so well, ask all the right questions and are able to share their own personal expertise and experience too, if you'd like. Nick, Jacob, Michael and the entire team are absolutely wonderful. We feel really lucky to have Belmont Bikes as our "go to" and for us, they are our one and only trusted and chosen place for all of our bike needs! read more

Great staff! Nick and Greg were very knowledgeable and professional. As I entered the shop I noticed all the employees and patrons wearing masks. They had new mask and hand sanitizer on the counter for everyone entering the store! I was shopping for an E-mountain bike and had plenty of questions I needed answered. The shop was bustling with business and the employees were very attentive! I knew this was the shop I was going to give my business. No pressure, a very relaxed, laid back atmosphere. I made a well informed decision and made the purchase. The employees assembled and tuned it to fit my height & weight and went over all the operational instructions with me. I would highly recommend this shop and will give them all of my future business! Thanks Belmont Bikes! read more

I've bought one giant e-bike and have had my road bike tuned and parts replaced at Belmont Bikes. Every time I bring my road bike in, it comes out looking clean and rides smoother then I remember. Very pleasant experience with Nick and Dave. I came in with my son to look at E-bikes. Nick took the time to explain all the differences, let us demo ride multiple bikes, and we ended up buying bikes. They showed us a beautiful Bike Park with trails right next to their bike shop and we had a blast in Belmont hills. My experience was so positive and special that I told my buddies and they also purchased new Orbeas. (5) bikes total and counting.... Coming back with more referrals. Very appreciative of the time and effort Nick and Dave put in to make this experience a very positive one. Can't wait to hop on our new bikes! read more

Good local shop with reasonable prices. Many of the guys working here love riding and have had a lot of experience with many of the items I was looking at buying. They helped let me know any pros/cons of the item from their experience to help me make the right decision before purchasing. They may not have the biggest selections of items in stock, but they usually have the main stuff to get you back riding again. They are also the only shop I now of around here that usually has some super friendly dogs inside. That's just a nice bonus if your bored waiting around for something to get repaired and just love dogs. read more
