I've had takeout and eaten in at this restaurant and I keep coming back. There's a small parking lot behind/next to the restaurant-lots of turnover in the lot so there will be parking. Food here is great! The most recent time I came here I got the nem nuong rolls and com tam. I personally think the nem nuong rolls here are better than the ones in brodard chateau. Com tam is really flavorful too and the portions are generous-definitely had some leftover. Wait staff here is attentive and patient. They speak both Vietnamese and English.

Service was very friendly here. The ambiance was nice as well, I liked the tables they had set up - there were set ups for large parties and also some bench style seating. It was a clean, quiet atmosphere. I enjoyed the food very much. The banh beo is a must order!

Banh beo!!! soooo good! I thought the grill pork spring rolls were decent but I feel like it's missing the oomph factor. Service was great, they checked in on us and made sure we were good.

Delicious Vietnamese food and portions are great. Service is excellent and ambiance is relaxed.

Great Vietnamese food and surprisingly good customers service from a Vietnamese restaurant. They are generous with the beef for the bun Bo hue. Their banh xeo is almost too stuffed with bean sprouts and pork. Their banh beo is also one of the best in SGV.

Beans, jelly and coconut milk dessert.

I have visited this Vietnamese restaurant for lunch a few times, the food is very good, they specialize in different spring rolls, but they also offer the usual pho and dry noodles rice dishes. This restaurant is easier to get a table than the one in Temple City just due to the numbers of people going put to dinner on that mall. The Summer Rolls restaurants offer northern Vietnamese specialties like nem (fermented pork), banh xeo, and banh beo, alongside staples like vermicelli bowls, banh mi, and Vietnamese iced coffee, with vegetarian options. You can come here with your friends or come here to eat by yourself, as I have observed others coming here for a quick meal during a lunch break. The wait staff are nice, and the way you pay is to go to the cash register. If you want to have dessert, they do have a few bean/jelly/coconut milk desserts, plus there is also a Paris Baguette next door if you want a pastry, and an Old Ferry Donut shop a few doors away. There is parking at this outdoor mall and also around the corner, but parking can get packed during meal times. You can also go and get a nice milk tea at the Half and Half Good Old Time Restaurant (Taiwanese) at the same mall, plus there is also a Korean Bon Chon Restaurant, Bay Poke, a Japanese sando shop, Korean Yuk Dae Jang, the Hong Kong "Phoenix" Restaurant, so there are a lot of choices to rest for a party having a picky eater. For lunch, I had a special order of cha gio (deep fried Vietnamese egg rolls) and a banh xeo, which was a crispy crepe with veggies and some seafood. The dishes were tasty and delicious, this place was my choice for a quick lunch when I was going out by myself. You won't be disappointed at the food if you try this restaurant out.

OC has Brodard but the 626 has Summer Rolls! I highly recommend the pork summer rolls with shrimp egg rolls and the charbroiled sliced pork summer rolls. The shrimp egg roll tucked inside each spring roll gives it the perfect crunch! They are my go-to spot for party platters and catering events.

Summer Rolls has been a staple around Rosemead/Temple City. Been here many times and though I've only really been here once to sit-in, I've always ordered to-go here. The good thing about eating here is that they actually serve alcohol so it's nice to enjoy your spring roll or com tam with a beer. Place is very modern with seating areas outside as well to enjoy the breeze. Service. is great here as they're always nice and welcoming as you walk in. Their spring rolls are probably their go-to here. Plenty of options for spring rolls and I'd say their best one is their charbroiled pork that's portioned nicely. Make sure to add some spice into the orange sauce and together with the spring roll makes a great taste.

We love nem cuốn since we discovered it when I lived in Sacramento. I have been trying to find something similar. We came for dinner Monday evening around 530 to find that it was a bit busy. The parking lot is small and we had to find street parking. We waited 10 minutes and were seated. Decor is nice and welcoming. Two unisex restrooms in the back. fried shrimp rolls for the kiddo - we thought it would be more filling but just a small amount of shrimp. A bit oily. An order of both the pork and the shrimp summer rolls. OMG the orange sauce is what I have been looking for! It was so savory and delicious I felt like I can just drink it. Unfortunately, we suspect they use a good amount of MSG so we were really thirsty later. We also got a bun with a variety of items. The bun was well made and filled with toppings. Service was standard. They did give us plates so we can share all the food.

Bun Bo Hue

I really like the Cuốn Nem Nướng với Cha Ram Tôm here!! Tried it once and had to come back. I recommend eating it relatively soon after getting it so that the Cha Ram Tom stays crispy. My friend ordered the Bun Bo Hue and said she liked it. She just wished that it was a little spicier (she has very low spice tolerance). I didn't try it so I can't speak to it. We came here on a Sunday at 11am and were seated immediately. It looked like the restaurant had plenty of seating. They have their own parking lot, which is convenient. Try not to get confused by the In-n-Out parking lot, which is right next door.

Was visiting a friend in the area and craving Vietnamese food. There is a lot variety on the menu. Every dish was full of flavor and reasonably priced. My favorites were the spring rolls and the bánh bèo. They were fresh and delicious. It's a very casual spot, perfect for grabbing lunch with friends. It felt like a mom and pop shop. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Definitely a great find if you're in the area!

Nem nuong rolls

Oh my! I've had this place on the radar and traveled a bit to finally check it off my list to try! I can say that I am super happy that I finally came to check it out! We came around 1pm on a Saturday and was surprised that we got a table right away. Dining room was busy the entire time we were there and people shuffled in and out. Everything we ate was delicious!! The nem nuong rolls were so good -- each roll had a generous piece of nem nuong with that perfect smoky-sweet flavor. You can tell they don't skimp on the good stuff here. Every bite had a great balance of herbs, noodles, and that delicious grilled pork. The bun bo hue was a huge bowl of comfort. The broth was deeply flavorful with just the right amount of spice, and it came loaded with big, meaty pork feet and pork blood that made it feel extra hearty and authentic. Definitely one of those dishes that warms your soul. We also tried the banh beo. The flour mixture was a little on the thicker side, but it was still really tasty--especially with those crispy little pieces of pork fat on top that add such a great savory crunch. On top of the food, the service was friendly and attentive, which always makes the experience even better. All in all, a great meal and I can't wait to come back and start working my way through the rest of the menu.

I was looking out for new and unique foods to try in SGV, and I saw that this particular Vietnamese restaurant had a special banh mi that used ciabatta bread instead of a baguette. More importantly, the bani mi had a runny egg on top of the meat. Seeing this unique banh mi, I knew I had to try it. I came here for date night. The restaurant's AC is not the strong. It's a small restaurant, but comfortable enough. The staff are what you may expect for a small hole in the wall type restaurant. They're nice but to the point. Of course, I ended up getting their unique banh mi. Their options were beef, chicken, and pork. I chose a pork banh mi. The portion is incredibly generous. The bread is a very large size and there were multiple slices of steak and two eggs. I shared it with my wife. I loved the combination of runny egg, the banh mi vegetables, mayo, and beef. Everything came really well together. The sandwich itself was quite large so I ended up using a knife and fork. But overall it was amazing. I would come back to this place just to eat their banh mi. It was amazing.

One item that I hated growing up knocked my socks off. That's the shredded pork skin. This place makes it good. Also the broken rice is just fluffy eventhough it's not whole grain. 3. Do try the pho hot pot. That sliced raw beef is actually better than wagyu to me. It's tender, well balanced meat flavor, and just not as fatty as wagyu. My dad loved all the tripe, meatball, veggies that came with that hot pot. We ordered a bowl of broken rice on the side. That broth makes it like pho porridge that you get from 7 course meals. I can eat a couple of pho both and just rice. 4. Service is very quick. 5. Some waiting due to popularity of their food, but I never mind the wait because I know the food is fresh. 6. Bun Rieu is really good here. My wife always order it. 7. Plenty of street and parking lot parking.

We live about 35 miles away on the west side, so it's definitely a bit of a drive. But on 9/26, we finally had the chance to visit, and I'm really glad we did. One of the first things that made the visit special was meeting Mai (according to the receipt). She took the time to talk with my husband, complimented his name, and made him feel genuinely welcomed as a first-time customer. It may seem like a small thing, but those personal touches really do make a difference. We ordered everything to go, and we were very happy with both the food and the service. The #5 Pork Nem Roll was outstanding. I've been eating the Nem Nướng Cuốn (grilled pork spring rolls) from Brodard in Fountain Valley for a long time, and that has always been the standard I compare other pork rolls to. Some of my family members live nearby and often bring them when they visit us. Nem's pork roll was a little more expensive, but I have to say, the grilled pork was huge. The roll was plump, generously filled, and had plenty of fresh ingredients. I really enjoyed it and would happily give it 5 stars. For comparison, Brodard would be 4.5 stars in my book. We also tried the Banh Mi, which was something different for us -- charbroiled pork served on ciabatta bread. I really enjoyed it as well. I honestly wish we lived closer because there are so many other things on the menu I'd love to try. Hopefully, it won't be too long before we make the drive back. What I appreciated most was the genuine kindness throughout the visit. When my husband was leaving, Mai thanked him and called him by name. That little gesture really stayed with us. It made the experience feel personal rather than just another takeout order. Thank you, Mai, and everyone at Nem by Summer Rolls. We're looking forward to coming back.

The first thing that caught my attention was that they had a limited menu for a Pho place which tells me that these are the best dishes that they make at home that they want their customers to try! So I saw that they had Pho Ga so I had to try it. OMG!! It was so delish, the broth was well seasoned and balanced, great amount of chicken and they had this side condiment of ginger, fish sauce, lime dipping sauce that just added so much depth and umami Either you can pour this dipping sauce to your Pho or what I did was dipped my chicken and slurpped it down with my noodles and broth and it was BOMB!! Then they have crab meat egg roll which was also very good but could have added just a tinge of saltiness to just make it a home run!! The golden delight pho had rare meat and noodles to the side, while the other toppings came inside the sizzling pot of broth. It had lots of noodles and toppings: tripe, rare beef, tendon, meat balls, and brisket. Pho was really rich in flavor. I also loved that the sizzling pots kept the broth hot the whole time. Noodles were also very bouncy, loved the texture. Beef short ribs were also very tender and full of flavor. Although it was very busy during a Tuesday lunch hour, the waiters sat us asap. So yeah, it's another Vietnamese spot in Rosemead. And before you say anything -- yes, it's a pho review. Again. Look, I don't make the rules, I just eat the soup. This place does something a little different though. Their thing is the earth stone bowl -- basically a heated stone bowl that keeps your broth stupid hot while all your toppings come on the side in separate little dishes. Cool concept, very extra, I respect the commitment. But here's the thing -- it was hot outside. Like uncomfortably, aggressively, why-am-I-outside hot. So sweating over a volcanic bowl of soup wasn't exactly on my agenda. I went with the regular bowl, picked two types of beef and tendon, and called it a day. First sip of the broth and I genuinely had to put the spoon down for a second. Not in a dramatic way -- just in a "okay, this is actually really good" kind of way. It holds up against every other spot I've been to, no question. But what got me was the flavor -- there's something subtle going on in there that's hard to put your finger on but impossible to ignore. The kind of broth that just works and doesn't need to explain itself. The toppings were solid, but the tendon was lowkey the highlight. Soft, chewy, not rubbery -- exactly what you want. Some places fumble the tendon. These guys didn't. Iced tea on the side, Saturday afternoon, nothing else going on -- honestly doesn't get much better than that. Should've come here sooner. My loss.
