This visit was the worst visit I've had in this dentist. My son is 3 years old . Doctor did 2 crowns with root canal removal . In one hr. my son didn't last with his jaw wide open for so long . Doctor insisted on the second crown when he didn't let himself with the first he then forced him therefore my son was biting his finger and almost shocked him while attempting on the second crown . If they know they won't last the procedure why push it do one per visit . He yelled at me which was unprofessional on his end . But I didn't yell back what I did was get the referral and left the building . This visit sucked because I never had an issue before my younger brother has been treated in that same building for years ... read more

Had an appt with my son at 10am and sat in the lobby for at least 1 hr before I was seen. Other patients where showing up after me and being called in first. When I went to tell the front office people what was taking so long to get called back they told me my son was already in the back getting his cleaning done, mind you my son was right next to me, she just said we must of confused him with someone else, how do you confuse patients? I have been waiting for my son to have his procedure with anastesia for over 5 mnths now..the doctors are great but the staff never returns call backs. I paid in advance for my sons anastesia 1000.00 and getting a refund from them, has literally been like pulling teeth...I keep getting the run around..I am currently still waiting for my refund so I can have my sons procedure he desperately needs. read more

We have been going to Sugarbug Dental & Orthodontics for almost a year and half now and we cannot be happier with their services. Our daughter had a massive under bite which we knew if we did not start correcting it a young age, it would be very painful and difficult to do so once older. So with the help of Dr. B and Dr. Nanda we started her treatment a little over a year and half ago, her under bite is now corrected and her teeth look great. We know that we have quite a while to go with all the other orthodontic work she needs but Dr. B and his staff have made it so that Lara (our daughter) loves to go in for her follow ups appointments and treatment. She cannot wait to get braces. The office staff so sweet and professional and we never wait longer than 5 min. Very weary about continuing to come here. The staff mixed up another child with mine. Hopefully that other kid didn't get any unecessary procedures done. Some of the newer staff are rude and snooty. There is a lack of communication getting from the staff to dentist. read more

I came to Sugar bug after a failed filling in Los Angeles. Dr's Patricia and Vikrum Nanda were the MOST knowledgeable doctors I've ever encountered in dental medicine. Not only did they fix the old mistakes, they elaborated on what I need to do to continue to maintain health. Digital X-rays, beautiful interior decoration, and convenient location, this is by far hands down the best office I've ever been too.... and I've been to a lot of offices. I can't recommend this place enough, give it a try, you will never be disappointed! read more

I love the way the dentist's treat my children. My kids are not afraid of the dentist, because of how wonderful they work with kids. They always make the kids feel comfortable. There are children's movies playing in every room, which really helps with distraction. I just wish I could have had a dentist like sugar bug when I was a kid. read more

Sugarbug Dental is awesome! If I could give this office more stars I would. My 6 year old son had multiple cavities and needed nerve treatments. Dr. Begian and his staff made him extremely comfortable and more importantly, pain free. He took his time to explain where the problem areas are, his recommendations, and my options. Everyone was really friendly and do what they can to make the experience fun for the kids. My son was most excited about the flavored toothpaste, gloves and dental polish. Anyone that knows me may know that i am a bit obsessive over clean, healthy and white teeth. That doesn't just go for me, but for my 3 children as well. The staff is very informative here and meet my wants and needs. My kids enjoy the staff here as well. You can truly see they love their jobs. I can never tell when they are having a bad day. They also like the selection of movies to choose from. The front staff is always on top of the people coming and ready to greet them with a smile. It's not just customer service. My daughter literally had a million dollar smile, and I believe that is how much it cost to take care of her cavalries and dental work. Lol. The work they have done on her has been clean. The Drs are able to address any of my concerns when it comes to using the oral sedation or any treatment. I personally would recommend Dr. T. He is the only dentist I see for my kids! First time here and it was an excellent experience. Since I first called the office the staff was super friendly and very helpful. Upon arriving the receptionists were welcoming and extremely attentive signing us in. The waiting room was kid friendly and clean. As we made our way to the back we were very comfortable. The nice young lady took our history and asked about any of our concerns. They got to work right away with both of my kids being taken care of at the same time and I was right there in the same area with them. Everyone was very nice especially the Doctor. Doctors are great!! Staff is friendly and the place is spacious and kid friendly. Second time here and I might come back and give them another chance. Why 2 stars? Today I went in there for my Son's 3pm appointment and sat 45 minuts and then left. Not seen by a Doctor nor walked inside. Sat in the lobby 45 minuts, got frustrated and let receptionist know we were leaving. I think 45 minuts is too much. I like that they send texts to remind about appointment (if they are busy I suggest send a text and let patients know they are going to sit for a while before being seen) read more

I am very disappointed, I heard great things about this place from my coworkers taking their kids here, However I have been calling since this morning to just ask if they accept my insurance for my son to be a patient there and nobody answers phone lines goes straight to voicemail, I left message earlier about 9am and nobody has called me back it's now 4:05 in the afternoon I'm irritated and ready to just pass this place up if it's going to be hard getting ahold of the office on a daily basis. Don't bring your kids here! My daughter had been in pain I've let them know twice and they gave me an appointment so she can get work done with general anesthesia. Well we had our appointment at 6 am we showed up on time she was healthy and I followed all the steps they gave me to make sure she was ready for her appointment.An incident happened outside the office and I totally understand that had to be taken care of. But once the paramedics and police took over the situation I don't understand why they couldn't come back and do the work on my daughter. I was told by the anesthesiologist that they "would make it up to me cuz they felt bad" so she said they would give me a Saturday appointment cuz it's hard for me to get days off from work. I called two days later to see when the appointment will be now they don't have any appointments and they don't know when the anesthesiologist will be back. So I paid the $200 and my daughter is here in pain. I know it doesn't matter to them but it sure matters to me to see my daughter in pain and having to go through the whole process again somewhere else! read more

The name Suarbug for a dental office is very off putting, I should have taken that as a sign of things to come with this office. Let me clarify by saying the front office staff is wonderful, very nice, very professional, and the hygienists are great as well. That's where my compliments end. First of all it is a major BITCH to get an appointment, it is a major bitch to reschedule, meaning if for whatever reason I have to reschedule, my rescheduled appointment will be MONTHS away instead of days or even a week or two. I had one good experience with one of the female dentists, my child's most recent visit was not so pleasant. She needed an extraction, and of course was nervous, someone mentioned in another review that the dentists explain to the children what's being done...Uhhh...not this dentist! He seemed annoyed that my child asked any questions and seemed annoyed that she was nervous. He was quick to categorize my child as a child who has been "traumatized" in the past, ASSUMED she would kick and scream and make a scene, NONE of which is the case,and so he refused to work on her unless she was sedated. (Read: more $$$$ out of my pocket!) here's the best part, when the office staff goes to reschedule her, my daughters appointment isn't till MARCH 28!!! Are they fuckin kidding me?! My daughter is under an orthodontist care and needs those extractions ASAP! I ended up convincing the dentist to reschedule sooner without the use of sedation, but he didn't seem like he was willing to give it much effort, he kept pushing the sedation on me saying he prefers to work on the children sedated, So after my child's next appt I will be continuing this review, and I will find another dentist. I was told by the staff only the dentist that saw my child for the evaluation and extractions can be the one to see her, if I chose to have another dentist see her I would need to do another evaluation (Read: MORE $$$$) I think that's bullshit! Also, when told my daughter needed an orthodontist evaluation an appointment was made, even though my insurance was not in network with their orthodontist. I thought that was a sneaky way to get more money out of me as well! read more

When they call you over an hour after your appointment, something is wrong. They said it was because they were a doctor short all day. My appt. was in the afternoon. If they knew they were running late with appointments they could call and inform me. I would have gladly gone in an hour later. After waiting over an hour no matter how good the staff is, I am still upset. If I made appointments and made my clients wait an hour, I would feel like I failed. Other than that, the staff is great, the dentists are awesome and they take good care of my kids. read more

Wow, it was a wonderful dental visit! First off, waiting time is only 10 minutes, the front ladies are very friendly and quick! Next my 4 year daughter was treated by Alfredo "Freddy" and he was an expert with kids. Very friendly and he knew what he was doing from the X-rays to the cleaning. He gave us cleaning and flossing tips, did the cleaning and fluoride, a true professional! Finally, the exam with Dr. Patricia was smooth, friendly, and she's very gentle to my daughter. I now take all 3 of my toddlers here, the facility is so clean and renovated! It's a beautiful facility, and they hire the best people here, I recommend!! read more

A couple years ago I would have given this office 1 star. Dr Kim(?) was rude and I hope she's no longer there. Anyway our recent visits have been great, my daughter loves this place now shes not afraid to talk to the dentist anymore, so if my child recommends it then I can't argue with that. My son AJ chipped his front tooth at school today. We rushed him to Sugarbug hoping they would see us. We were seen immediately. I mean IMMEDIATELY. Withen minutes they had him fixed up. You can't even tell where the chip is. The dentist and her assistant are amazing. The front desk person provided outstanding customer service. I am so grateful to the whole crew. My 5yr old has Autism and when I let the dental assistant know of her diagnosis he asked how severe she was? I thought that was so rude and ignored it. After that he made another statement stating that she was in fact low functioning and "obviously" severely autistic. (without even interacting with her or anything. She is not low functioning!) This was the first time we have been back since the start of the pandemic. I thought it was extremely rude for this employee to not only ask but then also give insight to her diagnosis without being an actual doctor and literally knowing nothing about her! I did say something to him about how it made me feel for him to say those things and I hope he understood but it might be best to have some training for all employees because I will not be ok if that happens again! He did not act professionally in my opinion, he also gave me information on her treatment which wasn't accurate and really unfounded! I think it's impossible for people that don't live life with a disabilty or know someone with a disability to understand so I'm hoping if you're reading this you might remember, and if you are ever in the same situation as this dental assistant please try and be kind and professional.
