I have been bringing my 9 year old and 18 year old with special needs here for about five years now. I have never had a bad experience. Everyone is extremely nice and just make my children feel extremely comfortable. That really takes a strain off mom. Even with the office been super busy and having to follow covid guidelines they are doing a wonderful job. I have been taking my kids to Sugarbug Dental for every single one of their check ups since they turned 1; they are now 7 and 8. I love this dental office! Their staff is always professional and friendly! We never wait more than 10 minutes after checking in before being called back. Their service is always exceptional and thorough! I love that they email you and text you to remind you of upcoming appointments & my kids love that they can watch movies while they wait, in the lobby and in the procedure room! Very unhappy! Because I didn't wear my mask over my nose. All the girls working there made my daughter suffer by drowning her with water, making her swallow repeatedly, and leaving a chunk of toothpaste in her mouth. My 9year old daughter said she was choking and couldn't breathe, forced to swallow. Not cool! All the girls giving me attitude and talking about me in groups, giving me looks. My kids had an appointment for an exam and cleaning, both kids knew they'd be getting their teeth examined because I had been mentioning it all week. Once it came time to open up and get to busy they both froze. Mona the dental assistant did an awesome job of making my kids feel comfortable, she spoke to them very nicely, was patient and showed them how the dental tools worked. She even cleaned my daughters stuffed animals teeth in an effort to make her feel comfortable. Overall it was a good visit. read more

I would like to give a shout out to Dr. Denash and to Kim C. I took my grandson in for an extraction (they call them wiggles, so cute) and to fill 3 cavities.... Kim took such great care of him during the entire time he was in the chair. My grandson is 5 years old and was a little nervous. Kim was very reassuring. She has always been so sweet and caring every time I have been taken my grandkids in for their dental. Kim also went out of her way to call me in the evening on her own time to check on my Isaac. Not even out of this office and I'm already impressed from the front office as soon as u step in! My girl is 6 and terrified of the dentist and the assistant was non stop caring and attentive with her trying to make her comfortable! They can now accommodate all four kids in one appointment which is so much easier on me and the kids. The staff is always super friendly and efficient. My son's been coming here for years and he loves coming back. He started off frightened of the dentist and now he coming in and feels more at ease when sitting in the chair. Most of the staff are very friendly as well. I love how they have the setup for the individual rooms with the sliding doors that they close whenever there's a cryer that's being examined. First of all my son is 2 1/2 years old with almost all his teeth grown in, and he was there for his first preventative evaluation. Everything was great at first. The dental nurses were friendly and made my son feel comfortable. The actual dentist, however did not even do much. All she did was lay his head in her lap looked at his teeth for less than a minute said he didnt appear to have any cavities, and then that was it. They wanted to schedule him back in another month. Considering they didnt even do anything it made no sense to take him back a month later. At first I thought this was normal, but then a month later I received a bill from them. Through my dental insurance all preventative care is covered at 100%, but this dental office chose to code the appointment different, so that they can get their portion from the insurance, as well as get some money out of my pocket. When I called to question why it was coded differently, and gave them the actually code it should have been, they refused to recode it to the dental insurance. read more

Dr. Nara Choi is AMAZING!!! My kids who are 3 & 5 years old have had traumatic experiences in the past and are always so fearful to go to the dentist. Heard great things about Sugarbug Dental and decided to take the hour long drive and I'm so glad I did! Dr. Nara and the staff were so kind and gentle. She explained every single procedure in kid language so that my kids understood and felt comfortable throughout the entire procedure. My son was able to sit through a filling without tears!! I've been to Sugarbug 3 times now for my boys and I have nothing but great things to say!!!! This last visit my 5 year old had a severe toothache-last night. I called Sugarbug first thing this morning and they were able to get him in at 11a.m. X-ray tech promptly took us to our room, got x-rays and we were on schedule. Dr. B and his assistant/hygenist(?) came in with happy faces and great attitudes viewed my sons teeth and requested we come back at 1pm for root canal and a cavity fill. All my son could say was "mom, i weally wanna go to the dentist" he knew he was in good hands and his mind was set at ease. Every single person there that I came into contact with had a smile and GREAT attitude. I am very pleased with the services my son & I received. I gave this place another call. I took my daughter here for the first time since our primary dentist was unavailable they were able to get her in the same day. Well I was glad I did! The front desk lady's are sweet and the dentist was in full detail about my daughters teeth and what needs to be done. I will gladly take the extra drive to come here for feature appointments. I felt that the front desk and check out we're very polite. The doctor was very polite and the lady who did the x-rays was really nice. The one person I had a problem with is when I fell off a bench broke my nail had to pick myself up off the floor and the whole time this white lady with blonde hair just stood there looking at me like I was putting on a show for her. Normally I would give sugarbug five stars but because of this incident I will give it 3 this is unacceptable I've been with sugar bug for five years and none of their people has treated me like this. Do not take your kids here!! My son had the worst experience yesterday. He was in for some treatment and for the first time, experienced pain. He made a sign to let the Dr know she was hurting him and she just said "Almost done, buddy." Right after, I noticed some redness around his mouth. As the hours went by, I noticed he had been cut!
