As someone with significant dental anxiety and past dental trauma, I am always incredibly nervous walking through the door. From the very first phone call this morning, I was treated with genuine kindness and compassion. The woman who helped schedule my appointment was so reassuring and made me feel like I was in good hands before I even arrived. Dr. Tim and his assistant, Maria, were absolutely amazing. They were calm, patient, comforting, and took the time to make sure I felt safe throughout the entire procedure. They never made me feel rushed or judged, and their kindness helped ease a fear I've carried for years. What could have been a terrifying experience ended up being one of the most positive dental visits I've ever had. I'm so grateful for this experience and this office. I never had that problem to any significant degree prior. We're talking... big time. For months, actually. I've had others suggest that perhaps their instruments were not being properly sanitized. I can't say that's true or untrue. What I do know is: when I went in again to get my front teeth fixed, they were confused apparently, and tried to make a mold of my upper, left side molars instead. I let them know, well, fine, just a mix-up. Okay. So they did the mold on my upper front teeth, left it too long, and when they pulled it out, it really hurt and ended up breaking more of my front right incisor. That really upset me. That they have, typically (at least the 3 times I was there) an advertisement in their waiting room for a "chance to win a vacation if you give us a positive review" speaks volumes of their actual competence. That means a lot of the positive reviews here on Yelp. People just hoping to win something. It's pretty shameful. I would recommend finding an actual dentist who knows what they're doing and doesn't try to bribe you into giving them a good review here. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

Loved that is was literally a 1 min walk and did not have to go through the process of calling and explaining the reason of my referral. The girls at the front desk are very attentive and I was immediately greeted as I entered the front door . The office was very clean and loved the small seating reception area. I was able to make an appointment without being pushed out weeks. They do offer Sunbit which is a great financing option and used that to pay for my copay. The Endodontist was amazing and the process was quick and easy . I did appreciate the fact that throughout the procedure he did stop to see how I was doing. I called and requested that they look at the crown to see what happened, and they said I had to pay $100 just to have the defective crown examined. They told me there's no warranty at all on their crowns, even if it broke 1 week later!! A quality crown that is done correctly should last 15-20 years. Why go to a dentist that doesn't stand behind their work? I do not recommend.

The doctors and staff are amazing and always greet us with a smile. My two teenagers have always been afraid of visiting the dentist. However, when we started our dental journey at Sugarbug they seemed to get more comfortable with the idea and even agreed to getting braces. Both recently graduated about a year ago from ortho and I don't think words can suffice with how happy my husband and I are with the results and care our children received! I believe we have been visiting the Oxnard location for over seven years now and have also visited one of the newer offices in Camarillo. The initial set had to be removed due to poor placement, incorrect sizing, and mismatched color. Unfortunately, the replacement set was even worse. I am now left with pain, sensitivity, uneven teeth, and visible inconsistencies--two teeth are noticeably larger and discolored. I have reached out more than 10 times to try to resolve this, but communication has been extremely poor. Once payment was made, the level of care and accountability dropped significantly. For a procedure of this cost and permanence, the results and overall experience have been completely unacceptable.

My orthodontist was going to kill me! So we got online to find a local orthodontist and found this orthodontic group close to our hotel. While I am certain it was a very odd request, we asked to purchase a bag of rubber bands from them! They were so helpful in figuring out which specific bands I needed and told us to come on by whenever! We went immediately there and the ladies at the front desk immediately knew who I was and had 2 bags of rubber bands waiting! When I pulled out my wallet they told me not to worry about it and enjoy my trip! How amazing are they! They seriously saved my vacation! I am looking at only another month in braces, who knows if it would have been longer if I wasn't able to wear bands this week!
