I never had that problem to any significant degree prior. We're talking... big time. For months, actually. I've had others suggest that perhaps their instruments were not being properly sanitized. I can't say that's true or untrue. What I do know is: when I went in again to get my front teeth fixed, they were confused apparently, and tried to make a mold of my upper, left side molars instead. I let them know, well, fine, just a mix-up. Okay. So they did the mold on my upper front teeth, left it too long, and when they pulled it out, it really hurt and ended up breaking more of my front right incisor. That really upset me. That they have, typically (at least the 3 times I was there) an advertisement in their waiting room for a "chance to win a vacation if you give us a positive review" speaks volumes of their actual competence. That means a lot of the positive reviews here on Yelp. People just hoping to win something. It's pretty shameful. I would recommend finding an actual dentist who knows what they're doing and doesn't try to bribe you into giving them a good review here. I'd give them 0 stars if I could.

Loved that is was literally a 1 min walk and did not have to go through the process of calling and explaining the reason of my referral. The girls at the front desk are very attentive and I was immediately greeted as I entered the front door . The office was very clean and loved the small seating reception area. I was able to make an appointment without being pushed out weeks. They do offer Sunbit which is a great financing option and used that to pay for my copay. The Endodontist was amazing and the process was quick and easy . I did appreciate the fact that throughout the procedure he did stop to see how I was doing. I called and requested that they look at the crown to see what happened, and they said I had to pay $100 just to have the defective crown examined. They told me there's no warranty at all on their crowns, even if it broke 1 week later!! A quality crown that is done correctly should last 15-20 years. Why go to a dentist that doesn't stand behind their work? I do not recommend.

Even though the drive from Sherman Oaks to Oxnard City is long, I still couldn't be happier with my choice. The offices are clean and organized. The doctors and staff are amazing and always greet us with a smile. My two teenagers have always been afraid of visiting the dentist. However, when we started our dental journey at Sugarbug they seemed to get more comfortable with the idea and even agreed to getting braces. Both recently graduated about a year ago from ortho and I don't think words can suffice with how happy my husband and I are with the results and care our children received! I believe we have been visiting the Oxnard location for over seven years now and have also visited one of the newer offices in Camarillo. Both the dental and orthodontics offices and staff are incredible, informative, attentive and professional. At this point I wouldn't trust any other dental group to take care of my family. She went in while pregnant simply asking for help and clarification about the medication she was being given, not demanding, not rude, just seeking basic medical guidance. Instead, the staff spoke to her with disrespect and brushed off her concerns. When she asked to speak to someone higher up, that person was just as rude. She ended up crying. That is unacceptable. Pregnancy is not an excuse to dismiss or belittle someone. This office sees young patients, which makes the lack of compassion even more alarming. No patient should feel humiliated or afraid to ask questions about their own care. I hope ownership takes this seriously and addresses the behaviour immediately. Do better. Treat people with dignity and respect. Plain and simple. If I could give zero I would.

We had an early morning flight and had to be at the airport before 5 a.m. It wasn't until we landed at LAX that I realized I forgot my pack of rubber bands for my 6 day trip!!!! My orthodontist was going to kill me! So we got online to find a local orthodontist and found this orthodontic group close to our hotel. While I am certain it was a very odd request, we asked to purchase a bag of rubber bands from them! They were so helpful in figuring out which specific bands I needed and told us to come on by whenever! We went immediately there and the ladies at the front desk immediately knew who I was and had 2 bags of rubber bands waiting! When I pulled out my wallet they told me not to worry about it and enjoy my trip! How amazing are they! They seriously saved my vacation! I am looking at only another month in braces, who knows if it would have been longer if I wasn't able to wear bands this week!
