This place was suggested to me on a Facebook group. Before visiting here, I have not gotten my…read morenails done professionally in about three or four years. And you will most definitely see me coming back here. First time I visited, I went right when they opened because I wasn't sure how much of a wait time it could be since I didn't have an appointment. I waited about five minutes before they were able to take care of me. Everyone was polite and friendly. Service was incredibly fast. I think I was only in there for an hour and a half again I only wanted something simple and basic so that also contributed to me not being there long. Fast-forward to about a week and a half I noticed I definitely needed to go in for a fill. This time I did make an appointment for 10:30am, I walked in at about 10:12, I knew I was definitely early but I figured I'd take a seat and look at color options while I waited. I did not wait long however they seated me within three minutes of me being there. So I will most definitely give them five stars for how quick they are. This second time around, I did have a color in mine from the first time I went, and it came out fabulous. The nail technician when he was putting the color on did suggest chrome which I have never tried, and I am most definitely glad he did because the color I chose was definitely lighter than what I chose the first time and with the chrome it just made my nails look simple and clean but with a little bit of shine. Definitely love that as soon as you come in the atmosphere and the vibe is completely great. They sit you down and they ask if you would like anything to drink which I love. I usually don't say yes, but I love that they ask because it's just extremely polite of them. My only caveat and I think I might be the only one is, I do wish they would play something else on the TV that they have in there, the two times I have gone they have this baking show which seems great, but I do wish they would play some kind of chick flick or a romance movie or a movie in general rather than a baking show haha. All in all I'm definitely going to keep coming here! I am looking forward to scheduling my pedicure hopefully soon I have not had one since I was a little girl so I'm very much excited. I hear good things about pedicures here.

Unfortunately, I developed a nail fungus on one of my nails, and during subsequent appointments I noticed they continued using the same tools on my infected nail before using them on my healthy nails. They also dipped the same polish brush into bottles after using it on the infected nail. That raised serious concerns about sanitation and infection control, and it made me question whether the salon follows the cleanliness standards it advertises. Another downside is the pricing. While I generally feel the quality of the work justifies the cost, I was surprised to be charged an additional $10 for filing during a fill. Filing is a necessary part of a fill because the nails have grown out, so it feels like a basic component of the service rather than an optional add-on. Charging extra for something so fundamental comes across as excessive. I genuinely like this salon and want to continue supporting them because the artistry is excellent. However, I believe the sanitation practices--especially when dealing with nail infections--need immediate attention, and some of the add-on fees should be reconsidered. These are issues that affect both customer trust and health. I also hope it's the same salon I'm referring to because the photos of the interior do not match the salon on Ramona. Are there two?

I went here after the place I found last month had an hour wait. This was my first time here so I…read moreasked for the prices of a gel manicure, gel pedicure, and callus remover. Out of 3 places that I have been to for the last few months, this place was the most pricey and they charge for everything. A regular pedicure was $27 but if you want gel they charge a total of $15 more while most places charge $10 more. Gel remover is extra even if you're still getting gel, $2 more if you're using a card to pay unless you zelle them. It was $82 for the service (gel pedi $42, gel mani $35, callus remover $5) and I tipped them a total of $16. I had to split among 3 people instead of the usual 2 because the lady working on my manicure couldn't spend 10 more minutes to finish painting my nails. She wanted to get started on another client so she ended up getting less tip. Ultimately I did end up liking the color I got after trying on a handful of colors and I did receive a bottle of water while I was there. The workers here prioritize talking in Vietnamese the whole time versus socializing with their customers. Although I understood what they were saying, I didn't engage too much. Vietnamese-owned salons should realize that workers talking in their native language for an hour straight while 80% of their clients don't speak the same language isn't an ideal environment. The store is called organic but honestly I didn't see exactly what was organic about their products. They use exactly the same nail polish brands as any other shops. I may or may not return.

As you can see in the photo, my nails are noticeably slanted to one side, making them look uneven and poorly done. It's clear that proper shaping and application techniques were not followed. Builder gel should look smooth, symmetrical, and well-structured, but this was far from that standard. My nails also hurt/burn from filing. I'm honestly upset with the poor quality of the work. This review is long over due. I have been here two times, and from my last two experiences I have had nothing but good vibes. My first experience was mindblowing. I was next door with my boyfriend, and I was looking at all the businesses, and I said "Babe there's a beauty salon here and they offer waxing, while you do your thing I' m going to see if I can get a wax." So I did. I walked in and I was immediately greeted. Her location is amazing, you feel right at home. She does EVERYTHING makeovers, hair, nails, waxing, etc! I'm so happy I have found my stylist, I have been searching for years, and always go from place to place. But she has honestly won my heart. This isn't her job its her passion!!! read more

This is my new favorite nail salon! People here are super friendly and now what they're doing. Came in for a full set and a pedicure and it was amazing. For the first time ever, I didn't have to tell the person over and over again how I wanted my nails. I explained to him the length I wanted and shape, and that was exactly what I got. I made an appointment about two weeks ago and they honored it and did just about the best acrylic nail job I have ever had. It looks flawless and I am really picky about my nails when I get the acrylics. I am making an appointment today for a fill and a pedi this time. I found my spot for sure! I have been wanting to get a fun nail design for the longest but couldn't' justify spending $40+ . Now that I found Sugar Coat, I dont have to worry about it. Came in and showed her a design off my Pinterest (the 4th of July nails) and she did great! She makes you feel like an old friend and best of all gives you such a great bang for your buck! I've been a patron for nearly a decade, and I wouldn't trade my experience at this salon for anything. This shop is very service oriented... everyone is attentive and makes sure you are comfortable. The owner is incredibly accommodating, and will make any arrangements that best suit your needs. I stumbled across Sugar Coat when I was looking for a nail salon open past 6pm on a Sunday. I gave them a shot and couldn't have been happier that I did.. The ladies there are super sweet and personable and do such a great job. I even get my lip/eyebrow waxing done there. This is one of the cheaper nail salons I've found but you get the quality of a high end 5 star salon. I won't go anywhere else. read more

I came in at 6pm and asked them if they were willing to take me as a customer and if not, it's okay. They hesitated at first but when I started speaking vietnamese to them, they took me in. The work itself was normal since I wasn't asking for anything hard or too time consuming. However, the boss lady wasn't there so some workers started acting up by rushing the people who were working on me. Apparently some of them carpool from OC so they had to wait to leave together. I ignored their comments at first, but this is why I clearly asked if they were open to taking a client in the last hour. If I had knew it would come with the attitude, I wouldn't have stayed. The work was more expensive than the shop that I used to go in OC. A month later I wanted to give them another try. I stopped by and was told it was going to be an hour wait. It didn't fit with my schedule for the day so I ended up finding a different location. Today at around 315pm I called to see how busy it was. Someone picked up and I spoke to them in English. They wanted me to come in at 330, but I had to go home first to drop off groceries so I told them 4pm would be better. She said okay, but before hanging up she immediately started talking crap in Vietnamese for no reason. I really despise getting treated like that for no reason at all, so I definitely didn't show up at 4pm. While I was writing this review, they called me back either because I didn't show up at 4pm or because they saw my review. They explained it wasn't me they were talking about but the context and timing says otherwise. I told them I pay more now for the same services and really just want a relaxing environment with good service. Unfortunately it's too awkward and bad vibes to come back and I hope they just take it as a lesson learned.

I didn't feel any discomfort at all, and Dee was very careful and paid attention to the details. I've been to Jenny's Nail several times before. Some nail techs did a great job, while others were just okay, so I was always a little hesitant about coming back. But after having my pedicure done by Dee, I definitely feel like I'll be coming back for my nails again. Great technique, very professional, and just the right amount of conversation. The owner is genuinely kind and treats customers more like friends than clients. One time I walked in just asking for help removing leftover product from ONE nail because I couldn't do it myself after trying multiple times at home. Honestly, most places would probably charge for that, but they helped me and didn't charge me anything. I ended up giving a $5 tip (I hope it's enough ) because I appreciated the kindness so much -- and at that point I had only visited the salon once before. After that experience, I stopped going anywhere else. Every time I come in, they are patient and never make me feel rushed, even though I can be very picky about choosing different colors for each nail. Other salons often act annoyed or charge extra for everything: more colors, dip, French tip... suddenly everything becomes "$5 more." Here, the pricing feels fair and the service feels genuine. Love this place and highly recommend it!!

I had to clarify I wasn't asking for store hours but rather the service prices. Its 45 for gel pedi, 35 for gel mani, and 7 for callus remover. Needless to say, they weren't taking anymore customers for the day but I would never come in to get any services from them on any day based on their attitude.

LONG STORY SHORT ......... I came in for a pedicure & 2 acrylic big toes because mine were broken. The nail lady didn't even know which drill bit to use immediately after applying the acrylic to smooth it down so I had to LITERALLY TAKE THE DRILL FROM HER AND DO MY OWN SERVICE. Then another nail lady runs down after 10 minutes of me teaching their pedicurist how to do acrylic, and says, "no let me do it for you". So I reply and ask, " if you guys know, she doesn't know how to do nails , Why don't you teach her how to do them"? Of course I was met with silence because at Vietnamese nail shops they think they don't have to respond to you and just ignore you for some reason. I PAID $75 (FULL PRICE) for TOES AND IM THE ONE WHO DID MY OWN TOES IN THE NAIL SHOP AND THEY DIDNT EVEN OFFER A DISCOUNT.. I've never been to a nailshop and paid top dollar to provide my own service half way through because the pedicurist doesn't have any real training and or skill.
