I came in originally wanting a color change but the gelx fill was $10 more so I opted for the fill. The shape was basically fine since I just put the set on 4 days ago but I just didn't want it looking lumpy. She did a terrible job on the shaping I have a nails that are longer than the other lopsided like dude work on your shaping that's why a lot of these nail shops don't get good business and we go to the girls working from home. I've been coming to this nail salon for about 7 months, and I want to start by saying that I really do like this place and the owner--she's always been kind and welcoming. That's why it's disappointing to write this. Over my last few visits, I've started to feel increasingly uncomfortable with how often I'm being pressured to add on extra services. I understand upselling is part of the business, but repeatedly asking after I've already said no makes the experience stressful instead of relaxing. During my most recent visit, I asked for a basic pedicure (number 3). The technician initially tried to convince me to upgrade to a more expensive option, and even after I declined, he kept asking if I wanted additional extras like a flower design. I politely said no multiple times, and even other staff had to step in and repeat that I had declined. What really upset me was that he then told me he was going to give me a 10-minute massage without explaining that it would cost extra. I was briefly on the phone checking on my 8-month-old baby, and I agreed, assuming it was part of the service I had already chosen. When I went to pay, I was charged an additional $10 for something I was never clearly informed about or agreed to. I usually try to be understanding, but after multiple visits where I've felt pressured into upgrades, and now being charged for something without proper consent, I don't feel comfortable returning. It was my first time ever having them done with Tim, Ive had good experiences before at this spot but with Tim he was very quick, but he still managed to remove my cuticle and shaped my nails so beautifully. I had my nails done today I did a gel pedicure and a gel x fill. And I had the worse and painful experience at this salon. I asked for a French tip and they left my nails looking smudged they kept cutting my skin with the buffer after i repeatedly lot told them it was hurting. They verbally insulted me and were being racist. And they kept tossing my feet around roughly. They also chipped my nails and said it wasn't there fault. But the nail tech did not give me what I asked for what so ever, I asked for a medium gel x white chrome, could not get any more simple. I've come in twice. The first time, I got builder gel with a nail extension. Convinced me NOT to get acrylic because builder gel is better and will last just as long. One of the nails fell off eventually and I decided to pull them all off myself. I come back the second time and the lady was like oh wow your nails are so thin why'd you do this. I told her exactly what happened and she said that with the way that she was going to do it, this will not happen again. No chance of it peeling off. And now here I am, writing this review after my nails are indeed peeling off. And I paid extra for her to put as many layers of this builder gel as she wanted. I've never had this happen at any other salon. I'm not sure if it's the products they're using or improper steps/placement but it sucks. It's messy work too, flooding at the cuticle and sidewalls. On top of that, after I left I had realized I overpaid. She told me the price for my nails. Then the price for my feet. Then gave me a total. Once I got to my car I realized she added the numbers wrong and I paid more than I should've. But I guess that's partially on me for not catching it right away.
