Was looking for another local waxing salon after going to a chain salon. I was hoping to find a place that seemed more down to earth, relaxing and welcoming. I can't even tell you enough how welcoming and sweet she was the minute I stepped foot for the first time in the babe cave. Loved how cozy and cute the salon was, especially the treatment room. Xochitl was excellent with my wax. I felt minimal to no pain whatsoever. Her work was also clean and professional. Looove the ambiance, it's cozy unlike most places where you get your Brazilian. It's super clean and smells great every time I go in for an appointment. The owners are the best, and every tech is super nice. You can't go wrong with whoever you end up with. The pricing is fair for a Brazilian, and the wax they use hurts way less than other places I've been to, like The Pretty Kitty, or European Wax Center. The waxers are great, friendly and competent. Front desk is friendly. The 3/5 stars is because of how my relationship with this business ended. Sour. Be aware of reading their cancellation appointment change policy. You will be responsible for the service(s) scheduled if your appointment is not changed in time. I called and left a message the night before. Found out the next day I would be charged. However, I realized the service scheduled was more than what I had scheduled (and had left a message the night prior saying so). Keep in mind, there have been other times where the front desk had a different service than what I had scheduled. This has been handled easily and quickly in the past without issue (scheduling system issues happen) However, this time was different apparently. If you dispute as a I did, you are required to speak to the owner who is in another state. Let's just say there was no wiggle room. There was no discussion. Just a statement that you're no longer allowed to be a client. At least there wasn't a charge. That was crazy. This happened mid-December. With holidays and whatnot, I'm writing this now. The best place I have tried by far! I have been going to The European Wax Center for years, but their prices increased dramatically and they changed employees constantly which made it hard to stick to someone I was comfortable with. A friend mentioned The Babe Cave and it took me a few visits to get used to the different waxing style, but I will never go back to any other. Xochil has been taking care of my Brazilian wax for years, she is amazing at what she does and she makes you feel like home. I first went to Haily when the Babe Cave was at the previous location. Haily's service was excellent. I finally went back to The Babe Cave when they moved to their storefront in Upland. With Hailey no longer at that location, I was a little nervous but I read yelp reviews and found that Xóchitl was a reoccurring suggestion to try for an esthetician! You canNOT go wrong with Xóchitl. I have been going to Haily for over a year, and can't believe I hadn't left a review!!! I was on the fence about the whole Full Brazilian Wax for quite a while. I had done it only 2 times in the past and it was very painful. I took advantage of the slack from the pandemic and let it all grow out before I went to Haily. I found The Babe Cave ok Yelp, and even though the business is nowhere near being local to me, I decided to make the drive. I've never looked back. Haily always makes sure to make me feel very comfortable, and although it's still painful, Haily is very gentle and knows how to minimize discomfort.
