I've had several appointments with Dominique and the service is always consistent. Quick, efficient, on time, and most of all clean. She always has her mask on, uses proper sanitation procedures, and uses quality wax suitable for even sensitive skin. The wax is never too hot and it never hurts, even when she takes out my in-growns. She advised me to exfoliate so I don't get stubble which has worked so far. She does require a deposit to book which is understandable because of no-shows. Decided to visit this place after 2-3 years because they were having a " new waxer special" I was running late for my appointment due to the weather. I called and was told that they have a 5 MINUTE GRACE PERIOD and my deposit would not be returned. I had no idea that my deposit wouldn't be returned nor was I aware of the 5 MINUTE grace period. When I received a response over a week later I was told " you were here two years ago and the policy was explained". I'm sorry but I don't recall your policy from two years ago for an establishment that I don't frequent and that should've been explained upon scheduling the appointment, instead the policy was sent to my phone asking that I sign it after I requested that my deposit be returned. I'm honestly sad to be giving this place one star. I've been coming here for over a year to get waxed and have had their monthly membership that they offer. I no longer felt comfortable going in due to covid, so I canceled my membership before the new month. I was still charged and Dominque refused to give me a refund. Never gotten my chest waxed so I was kinda skeptical of doing this. And while my chest wasn't 40 year old virgin hairy, I wanted no parts of any type of pain. Dominique was very cool and I felt as comfortable as I was gonna be. They even offer water or wine while you wait. I only had water but thumbs up to offering wine too. I'm so glad she did because Perla was very good. She was professional, explained what she was doing and how to make sure I stayed in good shape with aftercare instructions. Even though I advised them I wouldn't do one of the sessions the owner was still insisting to argue that I was late. Even though I acknowledge I was a little late and that I would do only 2 sessions the owner Dominque insisted to argue. I asked if she was still going to take me in for my other two appointments if not then I would leave. She I insist to argue. I left and went to stage Pretty Kitty at Victoria Gardens and they were really nice and made me feel comfortable, and also noticed the waxing wasn't as hurtful as It was at Samantha wax. I was super nervous and she was really sweet. She was so thorough and it was the least painful and best Brazilian wax I've ever gotten. She is really good! I'm relatively new to waxing (less than a year) but have been to 4 other establishments. This was by far my best experience. I was way overdue for a full leg wax. Such a great experience! I have been getting my armpits waxed for over a year now and I always seem to leave with a red mark on my left armpit. It is also pretty sore the next 1 to 2 days. After my experience here I won't go anywhere else! My armpits don't hurt and there is no redness. Dominique is amazing and got every hair including an ingrown that I had for a while.
