I find it very interesting the negative reviews that are popping up all of sudden. I've been coming to Samaja Wax Studios every since I discovered it more than almost 2 years ago. Dominique has been consistent in customer service, cleanliness and proactive in providing the best waxing and after care service. She keeps you informed and guides you on how to take care of your skin after waxing the do's and don't s and very gentle while doing her job. COVID has been difficult for small businesses and continues to be, but Dominique has been optimistic through it all. If you have been coming to Samaja for sometime and even have a membership you know what the policies are... this pandemic has been difficult for everyone and I understand the struggles, but posting negative reviews without following up, in spite of the quality of work and exceptional service you've received is just lame. I have to mention that ive always wanted to try waxing but i was too scared to do that cz i got a very sensitive skin and a very low tolerance to pain. However coming here was the best decision ive took theyre super professional and clean. I came in with my sister to do a face wax but of how good it turned out i decided to do under arms as well and she ended up doing her arms and under arms and were super happy with the results. An update to my last review. Customer service is still great. 10/10. The eyelashes don't last long though 5/10. I decided to try here again due to getting a "free" coupon for an eyelash set (due to leaving a bad review on the customer service/lash longevity) but when I came in I was told it was only good for $50. Even though the certificate didn't specify that at all. I wouldn't recommend the eyelash service, but I'd probably try a different service in the future read more

We decided to come here to support a small business and at first the owner (the waxer, Dominique) was nice . We were ALWAYS always on time but the one time we were 4 minutes late she called us and was really mad . We got there and both got our waxes . As usual we discuss how it went with each other on our way back home , and we both agreed that she was waxing us aggressively and felt she was being very rude with us , rushing the service and not being gentle . this time the wax hurt both of us alooot . We noticed she preformed it different than usual and noticed wasn't as cleanly done once we got home . I can't control traffic and we always leave with time to spare but that day was raining and really heavy traffic. If she excepts me to speed and put my life and others at risk over 4 minutes that's just crazy . There had been times were we had to wait 10 minutes and we didn't complain or mind . This place no longer has our business. Over her aggressive attitude of being 4 minutes late she lost 2 customers that were supporting her small business. No customer deserves this treatment. read more

The place was very clean and it seems like they are taking the precautions needed to keep their customers safe. However when asked if I liked my eyebrows thick I was confident (my fault) that they knew what that meant. I worked really hard at not touching my eyebrows for 4 months during lockdown. Those 4 months went down the drain. I haven't had my eyebrows this thin in my entire life. It was definitely my fault for not showing them a picture of what I wanted, I take responsibility for that. It also was very rushed. Normally it takes a good 30 minutes but I think it was no more than 15 to check in, wax, and check out. If that is your preference as well this is the place to go. They seem to be nice & if you are looking to book here just make sure you're very clear on what you want. read more
