I scheduled a last minute appointment with Claire (my usual esthetician) today. But it turns out she was unavailable and Max was there. I've gotten sugared by her before and wasn't really satisfied with my service as I realized I had a few open cuts / wounds due to the pulling of sensitive, thin skin way down there. So today my service was going well, we were having a great conversation then all of sudden a sugar pull and we both went dead silent for a few minutes. I already knew something went wrong. When we were done I knew I had some cuts down there. When I got home to pee I saw it. My lips looked like it had a big, open, popped pimple in it. And around it was pink and tender, like a cut. This made it difficult to wipe. I would post a picture but due to the area it is at, I am unable to. I would like to speak to a manager regarding this issues because this isn't the first time that's happened to me.

I genuinely don't understand when walk-ins are actually accepted if an empty salon still requires an appointment. More importantly, I specifically asked for a cleanup. To me, that means removing the excess hair above and below my brows while keeping my existing shape. Instead, my entire shape was changed, including my arch and tails. That is absolutely not what I asked for, and I'm extremely annoyed because eyebrows take time to grow back. There also seemed to be a communication barrier. I had difficulty feeling confident that what I was requesting was fully understood, and unfortunately the end result confirmed that concern. If a client asks for a cleanup, please clarify exactly what they want before significantly changing the shape of their eyebrows. I've been a regular customer, which makes this even more disappointing. I came in expecting my usual cleanup and walked out with brows I did not ask for. I received a text to confirm my appointment 2 days prior and then a second text reminder text the day before. I read that if you don't cancel 24 hours in advance then they will charge you the full amount of the service. My appointment was with Illiana and all went well. She made me feel comfortable and it was almost painless. I would come back again. It's a few dollars less expensive if you pay with cash and I happened to have cash on me so I saved a few bucks.

I just moved in town and Abby is THE person to go to get your threading and waxing done. (I went specifically for eyebrow and mustache threading; as well as Brazilian and leg waxing.) I booked a brow lamination appointment and told the technician before the service started that I…read moredid not want the underside of my brows waxed because I was trying to preserve new growth. The underside was waxed anyway. When I followed up, the owner explained that shaping is required with brow lamination and that avoiding the underside is not something they do because it does not meet their standards. My issue is that this was not explained to me before the service began. If my request could not be accommodated, I should have been told so I could decide whether to continue. I requested a refund, but it was denied because the service was completed and their policy says services are non-refundable. Overall, this was disappointing. For me, the issue was communication and feeling like a clear boundary I stated before the appointment was not honored.
