Been bouncing from place to place trying to find a good lash spot so I tried lash plus this time around considering the reviews. They had light meditation music but what's the point if everyone is talking at a high volume. I told her I like my lashes very light and subtle and showed a reference photo. Had a whole conversation of what I wanted, natural, light, almost wispy. I got bulky. I don't recall her name but she also pinched my eye lid. I understand mistakes happen but it was how she didn't stop and check in with me; kept working and faintly said sorryyyy. I've had much more gentle service before at other locations and here it felt heavier and rushed. Idk if she dropped or bumped something but ended up shouting, of course I jumped, opened my eyes to the burning sensation. She did put in eye drops so there's that. The fan was everywhere but on my lashes I'm glad i ended up holding the fan myself. These are all smaller things to some people but it affects the overall experience and I just didn't enjoy mine. If the lashes I got were what I asked for then maybe it would've been okay. My picture is the bottom one. I asked for the top photo but less bulky on the outer corner. Mother's Day HEAD SPA experience was marred by deceptive advertising on their website https://drheadspa.com/ I hate to go into this much detail, but I want others to know before having a bad experience. They also wanted my Yelp review, so here it is... * Despite pre-booking and confirming a 15% discount, the salon refused to apply it fully , claiming it only applied to the head spa with cash only and with yelp review, not the added facial. * Felt the services were rushed and overpriced, and the advertised discount was not clearly specified. Full review.... I was excited to book this as a Mother's Day present for my mom. I saw a 15% off coupon on their website as a "Mother's Day special" (it did not specify that it applied to any specific services). I took a screenshot because I had read another review saying they gave someone trouble honoring the advertised discount because they didn't have cash payment. Because of that, I also took cash, even though when I called and asked if the discount was only for cash payment, they said it would be okay either way since it was a Mother's Day special advertised on their website (but, of course, they preferred cash). I also paid a $20 deposit for booking, which was not a problem. When I called, I asked what the difference was between the 1-hour head spa service and the 90-minute service. They said 90 minute service included extra time for a neck and shoulder massage. So I booked both of us for 90 minutes. When we arrived (Upland location--their website labels this address as the Corona address and vice versa, which is confusing), I felt rushed during the scalp examination; she didn't go into much detail for either of us. When she started the head massage, she offered a mini facial for an extra $20, so we both added that on (thinking it would add more time for that added service, which it didn't--she squeezed it into my 90 minutes!). At the end, she spent about 5 minutes barely touching my shoulders and neck to reach 90 minutes, even leaving my hair damp and not drying it thoroughly. Then, at the end, when she went to charge me, she acted like they hadn't charged me the $20 deposit and didn't want to give me the 15% discount, even though there was a large sign behind her saying "15% discount for first-time customers," which we were! (I also had the screenshot from their website advertisement just in case) It did not say cash only or for head spa service only. She called her boss, and after getting the ok when she tried to show me her calculations (saying cash only and insisting I write a Yelp review on the spot to get the discount), she didn't apply the discount to the facial and then called her boss back again. The boss said the discount was only for the head spa treatment and that the facial was an added service that didn't apply so I told her they should specify that on their big sign and website. I was unhappy that this all happened in front of my mom. It also ruined the relaxed state we were trying to achieve after our service. Overall, it was not worth what they charged me. On a positive note, my hair was really soft, but it was still not worth our experience there, and I will not be going back. read more

This place was not good for the head scalp treatment. I walked away with 3 -4 days of my whole body sore because the girl left me on the massage machine for 35 mins before she started on my head spa. Once she started she didn't stop it do I ended up on it for over 60 mins. Now to get in to the head spa. They need classes on head massages it was horrible. They do great work and are fast, and light handed. They recently upped they're prices for lash extensions which I'm not too happy about because the prices and quality of work done were the reasons I travel from Pasadena to get work done here. Don't waste your time on the check in for a "free eyelash" gift. You get an eyelash brush. -___- You can get those for free just by getting your lashes done. Ask your tech for a brush and keep one in your purse or car to reset your lashes if they get messy. This is not a place where I would suggest walking in. They tend to over book appointments for the day on the regular. So highly suggest making an appointment ahead of time. To the owners of this business (if you even read this), as a customer I would appreciate if you guys limited the number of appointments made in a day. It's frustrating having to spend half my day for services I booked in advance just because those without appointments were squeezed in last minute. Overall, good shop. It's cleanly and friendly.
