I got the Italian with extra meat and extra cheese. Toppings wise I went with how it comes (which I think is "Mike's way"??) and added cherry pepper relish and pickles. Pleasant atmosphere and the staff members are friendly . This place is always clean when I come. Especially the drink area it is well stocked and clean. A lot of restaurants the drink area is messy and sticky and under stocked but not here. Bathrooms are clean as well. They have fries now which is a good alternative if you don't want chips. Food was served hot. Fries were very good not overly seasoned great color and excellent potato taste. My hook and ladder sub was just as I requested and was excellent as well. They just have the best subs. The flavor is good. Plenty of meat, cheese, lettuce and tomato. Just the right combination of everything and the bread is fresh. The sauce for the fries was a nice touch. Military discount your drink is free.

When I walked in to pick it up, I was greeted warmly by the staff, which made a great first impression. The sandwich was packed with roast beef, turkey, bacon, and Swiss, and everything tasted super fresh. I got it Mike's Way, and the combo of oil, vinegar, and seasonings really brought it all together. The bread was soft but held up perfectly, and the veggies were crisp and refreshing. The bacon added the perfect crunch and smokiness--I honestly wasn't expecting it to be that good. It was super filling without being too heavy, and every bite was delicious. Definitely a 10/10 first experience, and I'll for sure be coming back soon.

But at Jersey Mike the fresh cutting of the cold cuts does make a huge difference to the product and requires a step above service from the other large sub chain. My Italian was loaded with tons of thinly sliced cold cuts - sandwiched between soft bread and crips veggies. The addition of the oil, vinegar and seasoning enhanced the overall sandwich. The regular size was fulfilling because of the amount of stuff between the buns, and after the last bite I was so full and totally satisfied. My daughter was laughing so hard because I was so excited when they made my sub but it was such a joyful experience.

But the sauce was rather unremarkable. It wasn't seasoned very well and nothing else stood apart. The Dill Pickle Pasta Salad was not seasoned well either. I've had memorable dill pasta salads, but this just didn't stand out. I was disappointed that there wasn't any dill chips or a novelty dill beverage for the dill meal. The overall atmosphere was fine, things were clean and spills were addressed immediately. I've been to this location before several years ago and I've been to others in the interim. It just could be a bit brighter inside. Overall, I'm likely to return and I know what to expect.

My favorite things here are The Beefeater, The New Yorker, the Chili, and the baked potatoes. Their chili doesn't have been since they are from Texas. It's still good though. It's typically a crowd pleaser and they are good at the catering game. I do think some of the reviews are quite funny. Any time someone mentions money in a review I immediately dismiss their opinion. Buyers remorse is no reason to give a bad review. If you don't like your food, take it back to the damn counter, don't be a keyboard crusader. If it's really that bad, say something to the humans that work there folks. For me, Jason's is pretty dang good for what it is.
