Came here with my family of six during a road trip to grab sandwiches, and unfortunately the experience was disappointing. While they were making our sandwiches, the portions were extremely small. For example, my grandfather's sandwich was given only about four pieces of onion. When he politely asked, "Can I please have a little more?" they added just one more slice. The bigger issue happened when my dad asked for a cup of water. The cashier, an older woman, pointed to a specific cup and indicated that it was the one to use for water. We filled it with only water, but when we checked out, they charged us for a drink cup anyway. We explained multiple times that the cup contained only water and reminded them that an employee had directed us to use that cup. We even showed them that it was just water, but they still insisted on charging us. I understand that language barriers can happen. My entire family are immigrants as well, and my grandparents don't speak much English, so this is not meant as criticism of anyone's language or accent. However, the communication was poor, and instead of listening when we tried to clarify the misunderstanding, the staff dismissed what we were saying. Overall, the customer service left us frustrated, and the experience was not what we expected. It's a cleanly spot for sure, and no complaints about the ambience. read more

Okay folks, I decided to give this place another shot and update my review from a horrible experience with the last visit. Tonight the ladies were very polite and the one making sandwiches was on point. Our foot longs were amazing !!! Everything was fresh... great turnaround and hope this stays this way, especially driving from King City just for a few sandwiches. 5 stars for me tonight and this crew and the FLBOGO going on right now till March 10th was an even better bargain. Stale bread, no guacamole for Cali special sandwiches and overcharged. Avoid at all cost. Cali special costs $8something that includes avocado guacamole but the shop ran out so instead of substituting something like extra bacon for the guacamole, we got charged extra!!! I really appreciate the FLBOGO special running now, 2 for 1 foot long sandwiches. I think their app is easy to use and the server was quite friendly also allowing me to customize from my app order. All ingredients appeared quite fresh and taste was good. I don't have a super high bar for a sandwich place, so I think this one fit the bill for what I look for when going to one. read more

There used to be exactly one employee here who was great. She'd prepare our orders as we asked for them to be prepared every single time and never complained when we asked for more pickles or peppers or not so much lettuce please. The older man, though? One time we went and he made my family's sandwiches first then when he got to mine, I asked for banana peppers and he put about four little shriveled ones on the sandwich. When I asked for more, I think he added two or three more. When I asked for a LOT more, he got angry and said he couldn't put any more. Um, excuse me? That's not Subway's policy, Mr! Subway allows for ALL the basic toppings I want. I didn't ask for an obscene amount, just a couple nice handfuls of the peppers. I wasn't asking for avocado (not that I would...I can't stand the slimy texture), just banana peppers, which are cheap. Our more recent orders have been through DoorDash, though, and we're coming to the realization that if we're not AT the restaurant to supervise them making our sandwiches, it's likely not a good idea to order from them. A recent order was no different than our previous DD orders. Well, it was different: it was WORSE. My husband and I both wanted sourdough bread for our sandwiches. When the dasher contacted us about them not having sourdough for two sandwiches, only one, my husband said he'd rather cancel the order but then didn't because he would still have been charged, so he said to make it on another type of bread. When a new dasher was assigned, they called to say the restaurant claimed the order was canceled. We said it was absolutely NOT canceled and we better get our sandwiches that were already paid for. The person at the restaurant decide to argue with my husband about this, saying they were told the order was canceled. We got our sandwiches, but mine was with soggy bread, two tomatoes that looked like they were pulled out of the garbage, the cheese was a globular mess, and the steak was nearly non-existent. What happened to Subway??? It used to be a decent restaurant to go get sub sandwiches. It might not have been quite as good as Port Of Subs, but it was tasty. It just isn't anymore. One person only making the sandwiches and the other on break..When guy came back from break I sat and ate,but they still didn't clean the store it was busy but I'm sure no one would have sat and ate..The male who helped us was tried helping everyone and it took a little longer to get my order and He just wasn't accomplishing what he was yes to do help everyone at once.. Welcome to subway? Yes, no? When did that stop? Literally the worse customer service I have ever experienced. The first time I thought the ladies behind the counter were just having a bad day .. wanted to ask them if they were okay. Then today, ugh no. They just appear to hate their job, or anyone just walks through that door. Not once did they look at me, or tell me "hello." Not once they even smile. Jesus! Back in the day, it was mandatory to say "Welcome to subway" the first ten seconds someone walked through the door. Are they being held hostage there? This Subway is much larger than any others I've been in. The food seems to be the same at all locations. The service here was excellent. I wanted something I could put in my cooler for the next day and really did not want most of what was on the menu.The young woman behind the counter prepared a salami and cheese sandwich for me. The manger there was so rude to his employee and he was just doing his job. I stopped here yesterday on a trip to Arroyo Seco. The 3 ladies working there were very nice and helpful. The manager, however, was extremely rude, not only to the employees but to customers as well. That bitter, old man should not be a manager anywhere; He lacks communication and basic customer service skills. Extremely unprofessional. In just the 10 minutes that I was there, he raised his voice (in a very rude and condescending tone) at 2 customers and 1 of his employees for absolutely no reason. I just had a wonderful dinner from here. I ordered a meatball Marinara and would have liked to have the meatballs and bread separate so that I could make a spaghetti and meatballs dish at home but I guess they couldn't do that (which doesn't sound too weird to me). Nonetheless the food was good. What made the visit better though was one of the workers Perla (even though her shirt says Nancy) who was very quick and helpful with all the questions I had. One of which was why there were two types of Italian bread. She was super nice and made a mean sandwich. I almost forgot I also got a chicken ranch sandwich, which was way better than the meatball one. The cookies were delicious(the ones with the red spots in it. I forgot the name of them). Stopped by this Subway on our way to Paso Robles. It was late.. around 8pm, but the staff was extremely friendly. I had me a turkey bacon avocado and hubby had a meatball sandwich. It was quick and perfect. Again, shout out to the awesome employees at this location. There were cleaning the bathrooms, but let me use them before I left, which was super awesome of them. I recommend for great sandwiches on the road. This is right off the highway, but it's in a grocery store shopping complex with lots of locals shopping and dining. Subways can be very, very, bad or very, very good depending on the management, staff, and freshness of ingredients- and sandwich artistry. This Subway hits all the right notes. If I could give zero stars I would. Didn't get names because myself and my family before we were actually helped. So I'll post the time and date maybe their owner will know who the workers were. It's Friday 13th and it's 7:53pm. We walked in, they completely ignored us even after I made eye contact with the girl in the back. Still we were ignored when we walked up to the order window. Then the girl with the wrist tattoo walked past us still ignoring us and began a conversation with the girl in the back. First said she would need help, the girl in the back still didn't come. At this point we still weren't acknowledged so the girl with the tattoo begins to tell the girl in the back she brought her a corn on the cob basically a personal conversation. We still hadn't ordered. This convo went on for a minute ( which isn't long but when you had been waiting a couple while they were acting you don't exist a min is super long). Feeling very dismissed asked if we could order. Tattoo girl still didn't look at me. So myself and family turned around and left. By the time we got to the door both girls were legit laughing out loud that we were leaving. I gave them a look back and still left. No wonder this store looks horrible. Possibly the WORST sandwich I have ever had. The meat had No Flavor. tasted like sawdust. The service was very friendly, but dumb as a box of rocks. To start off. the girl ask me what kind of sandwich I wanted. Roast beef on sourdough. Mayo / lettuce / tomato / unions / Swiss cheese. so she puts on all of the ingredients except the Mayo, so I ask her when she plans on putting on the Mayo.
