French Fries And Salsa Roja.
Michael H.

As Usual We Ordered Our Sunday Breakfast From La Plaza Bakery, 2 Bean And Cheese Burritos With Salsa Roja And An Order Of French Fries..!!! With Extra Salsa On The Side..!! Also Got And Orange Fanta To Wash It All Down..!! I Love How Friendly The Staff Are On The Phone And In Person As Well They All Greet You Upon Entering The Restaurant. Today Was A Lil Awkward Because Usually They Are Packed With Customers But Today Wasn't..!! Felt Good To Get In And Out In A Timely Matter...!!

I found this bakery while traveling in California. There were not many options driving north on 101 in this area, King City. We enjoyed the fish tacos and a vegetarian plate. The service was smooth and our order was prepared quickly. They have dozens of pastries, cookies, and cakes for purchase. In addition to great food and desserts, they also have fresh pressed juices. Multiple tables are available inside and outside at picnic tables. Large windows light up the inside and give you a glimpse of downtown King City.

Beautiful little oasis in the middle of an empty plain (the salad of the world offers a great taste). The entrance decorated and welcoming (be ready to use that Spanish). Tis the season. On this day my fiancée and I had a Barbacoa Burrito Bowl (amazing). I chased it with some bread (pan). The seating was limited but accommodating. The employees were friendly and bilingual (absolutely needed). Steady yourself (your food is made to order). The meal came out hot and fresh (the meat pulled apart with a gentle tug of my fork). The salsa, salad, and pico de gallo was fresh. Beans and rice were a great compliment for the barbacoa sauce and chili verde (i poured in it). Very filling and it'll want you longing for more. Take a trip on the 101 and enjoy your oasis getaway, today.

*POST-LOCKDOWN REVIEW* Passed through this bakery on our way to Santa Barbara and got lunch here. Al Pastor super burrito, enchiladas, and two tacos. The chicken tacos were cut a bit weirdly? but still tasted good. Someone else in my family finished the enchiladas completely so I'm assuming it was pretty good as well. My burrito was OK. Very skinny and tall, and would've preferred more beans instead rice but it was OK. Dessert was the best part. I got the arroz de leche ($2.50) which was very very good! Highly recommend.

Enchiladas, not as ordered

HORRIBLE SERVICE! I ordered at 2:22 and just got my order at 3:05. I don't know what takes them so long. I can't stand the lack of good customer service. I will not be giving them my business again. The order was for my son or I would have asked for my money back. @la plaza bakery, king city. When I asked about my order, because I was #93 and they called #94 & #95, she went to look and the ticket was still by the register. It is not my fault they are understaffed or the person doesn't know how to place register orders. To top it off they got the order wrong. I ordered plain enchiladas, not loaded with toppings. Which I didn't know until I got home. Again, not for me but my son who is a picky eater. Needless to say that was a waste of time and money. I Will NOT be giving them my business again.

Yes! All the pan dulce, ALL OF IT! Every variety, every color, every bit of spicy goodness. And Boyd's coffee - all the flavors! I could have lingered here for hours, going back every fifteen minutes to grab, oh I dunno, maybe the pink one!! The round cinnamon one! All of themmmmmm!

Green chilaquiles

found this little spot on a road trip and it's so good! it's definitely a good place for a quick breakfast or lunch when driving across CA.

Large bakery with tons of fancier Mexican pastries . Loved the apple thingy and also the red gelatin thingy. They also serve food as well.

Great food at a decent price. The only thing I would change is allow tips on credit card like every other restaurant does

What an amazing gem this is in King City!! I was coming home from a camping trip in the area. I saw…read morethe reviews, the pictures and I had to try it!! This is one special family owned restaurant. The food is amazing!! The portions are plentiful and the flavors are divine. I was greeted upon entry by a very lovely young lady. She was very nice and provided excellent customer service. I had the bang bang shrimp appetizer and let me tell you....BANG BANG!!! The shrimps were large and in charge. I got at least 6, maybe 7 or 8. I tried to count afterwards, but I mangle my tails looking for all the shrimp meat!! They were so crispy and crunchy. Super fresh and uber delicious. BANG BANG says it all!!! A must have menu item if you love shrimp. I also had 2 of their signature surf n' turf tacos and they were very yummy. Every order that came out for other patrons looked delicious. Everyone had that whoa look on their face when their food arrived. I saw some great looking Michelada's come out with big shrimps on the rim!! They have a full bar as well and every table has a copy of today's newspaper...nice touch. Spectacular restaurant people!! The kind where foodies drive 40 minutes one way just to eat there, because Castro's Surf and Turf is an elite food experience!!

This was a pit stop before reaching the west entrance of Pinnacles NSP coming from the east…read moreentrance. Saw a lot of hype in the reviews and wanted to check it out. Ambiance: Walking in has the vibe similar to a sports bar but as a sit down restaurant that serves surf n turf. A wooden boat hanging up on the ceiling and themed with space & fishes. Service: The worker was nice, but the restaurant felt like it was understaffed. Surf and turf tacos $6.39 (3.5/5): If I'm being honest, as much as I wanted it to taste as good as the reviews say it is. It was good but not amazing nor bad. It had a good amount of asada and 2 fried shrimp with a tangy sauce. As I was eating it, it definitely needed more sauce, as the orange sauce was not enough. Had to use additional provided hot sauce. 2 is enough just to be kind of filling. All the hype in the reviews, it definetly does not live up to it at all. It's a good spot but not exactly amazing.
