A cute coffee shop to stop by when in King City. The baked goods looked delicious but was too full to try. The iced chai latte and cafe latte were solid. They offer different milk options. Also love how they don't force request tip, making you feel awkward. A great place to rest on the drive through 101! read more

I've stopped here a few times on trips through the Salinas Valley. Always friendly service, good coffee, and plenty of room to have a seat and rest for a few minutes. I much prefer it over the overcrowded Starbucks in King City. read more

Really sweet family run coffee shop downtown in King City! Stoked to have a local coffee shop to support instead of stopping at Starbucks in town. I ordered a lavender iced tea I believe and it was lovely for a hot day! They also had a lot of healthy grab and go snacks like chia pudding which I will definitely be grabbing next time. read more

Friendly and bright small cafe right in the heart of King City and a short two minute walk from the EVGo chargers off Broadway. We enjoyed the Sencilla (caramel and vanilla latte), chai, and some fruit smoothies) -- each was a hit. The food was especially tasty the last time I went visiting from Bakersfield to King City, it's really nice seeing a local cafe in town. I had a Chai with pumpkin spice and really enjoyed the chai. My moms drink was too sweet for my liking but she enjoyed it. Then I got a Vanilla latte and I thought it was pretty good. Can't wait to try more things next time! read more

Stopped in here on a road trip to SLO. Wanted to skip the chain coffee shops and try something local. Hit the jackpot with Hestia. Located in downtown King City in a historic building with character. Plenty of public parking on street and off street near by. Best of all were the coffees and pastries!! Well worth the short diversion off the 101. read more

Very yummy coffee drinks and baked goods. I had the honey cardamom latte and my daughter had the lavender latte, both were flavorful and well balanced- not overly sweet.On the road and looking for an alternative to Starbucks this makes a great stop. Good coffee to start your day! We tried the rose raspberry latte iced and canela latte iced and hot. My mom is a picky eater and she loved it! Not too sweet, not too strong, just right! I did think that the property is a little bit dated. They've done a good job with upkeep. The only issue I really had was that when I got out of my car there was a very strong animal smell. I asked at the front desk with that smell was, and they said that it was fertilizer that they applied to the fields that night. It was intense. We got up and we're back on the road by 5 AM. Unfortunately we did not get to try the restaurant although I heard that their steakhouse is excellent. Also, the pool looked really beautiful and clean.

But we just went and followed the signs that said "Restaurant." When we walked in the main entrance, the first thing we saw was the Country Store. To the right is the Horseshoe Lounge, the Prime Steakhouse in the middle, and Ranch Kitchen is towards the end. I think they also have a barbecue restaurant, but in a separate building. This place is massive. We decided to dine at Ranch Kitchen, where there was a huge group of people sitting right outside. I originally thought they were waiting for a table, but they were all just there for the restroom since this seems to be the place to be for pit stops down I-5. It was around 6 PM on Monday, and we got seated pretty quickly. We ordered the 14 oz. Choice Ribeye (medium rare) and the Country Fried Steak. Both included either baked potatoes or mashed potatoes (we opted for baked) and broccoli and carrots. The ribeye also included either a soup or salad, but given the current scare with the lettuce parasite, I opted for the clam chowder. They start you out with hot bread rolls and some salted whipped butter. The ribeye was very tender and delicious. It was well-seasoned and does not need steak sauce or anything. The country fried steak was quite tasty and comes with a massive amount of gravy, the way I like it. Overall, this was a great stop with great food. The service was amazing and the waiter was very attentive. This will definitely be a regular pit stop of ours.
