The second time we went the food came out fast and it was just what we needed to fill our bellies. It is a typical sports bar feel inside, but they have a pretty large selection of food on their menu. Obviously the place is all about hotdog, but I had their boneless buffalo wings and that hit the spot. It's very hard to find a spot with good boneless wings! My kids devour the hotdog like it's their job! The location is pretty random at the moment but they are building up so many things out there that they're in a prime location. Can't wait to go back.

On my long drive home from Mount Pleasant to Moncks Corner after a 12 hour shift at work, I had…read moreplenty of time to consider what I'd want for dinner. Moncks Corner has so many fast food restaurants but today I wanted to spend my money on a local establishment That's My Dawg. I walked in, weary from a long day running events to be greeted by a guitarist, backing tracks, and 6 whooping elderly patrons. They were enjoying themselves, a little tipsy, and loud. Fortunately I wasn't looking for peace and quiet, just a quick to go order of a chili dog, sausage dog, wings, and onion rings. I shuffled my way to the counter, carrying the weight of the day only to wait 5 minute before spoken to by one of the servers. My order was placed quickly and was assured it would be out "soon." I took my seat to listen to a good guitarist with better backing tracks fighting a losing battle with the impending headache forming at the back of my skull. At the 10 minute mark I considered ordering a drink to silence my inner voice of doubt telling me I should have just gone to Chick-fil-a but surely my food would be out "soon." At the 20 minute mark, the guitarist stopped his set to take a break as I watch other patrons receive their food and drinks after I had ordered. I could only assume extra time and attention was being used for me. Perhaps they needed to grind the sausage in the back before cooking and serving it for my order. Perhaps they had to pluck all those fresh chicken wings. Maybe they were harvesting the onion in real time to deliver it to me. My orders surely not just food, but a statement of art and love too beautiful for human consumption. My excited and eagerness grew until the 30 minute mark when a different server asked if I had been helped. Was my order lost? Had I been forgotten? Maybe they weren't freshly grinding my sausage dog after all! Everything seemed to be ok because after I said I had a to go order, she never returned to give me an update. I had considered resting my eyes, which became increasingly difficult after the guitarists mandatory rendition of "Sweet Caroline" at the 45 minute mark. That's when the angel from the kitchen appeared, bag in hand. My expectations: high My anticipation: at a fever pitch My hunger: endless My reason to give my wife for taking so long: formulating I smiled and took the bag eagerly to my car to drive the 5 minutes to my house to enjoy this meal clearly crafted with an artist's hand and a mother's heart. ...the first words my wife spoke regarding her hot dawg was "weird" My sausage dog was serviceable, the wings were serviceable, the onion rings were also....serviceable. As I sat on my couch ignoring survivor, trying to enjoy the food I waited an entire set to receive, and holding back a primal scream regarding my 6am call time; a single tear fell down my cheek in my sheer disappointment and defeat from this experience. Maybe I'll go back when I'm not coming from work, and have no where to be urgently, and there isn't entertainment, and can order food in my third Jack and Coke. I really do want to try one of the great hot dogs I've been hearing about.

This is EXACTLY the type of place Moncks Corner has been needing and I'm so glad Ophelia's is here!…read more I stopped in for a first time visit late one Sunday afternoon and my friend and I ended up having the place all to ourselves before the Happy Hour/early dinner crowd began arriving. The two staff working were both super friendly and answered all of our questions. Service was fast and our wine glasses never remained empty long. I loved the variety of wines offered and for snacks we opted to try the charcuterie board and do a variety of their crostinis. The charcuterie we built was DELICIOUS and I'm still dreaming about their house made sun dried tomato goat cheese. By the time the crostinis came out we were starting to get full but I could have eaten the pistachio and brie cheese one aaaallll day. It was a wonderful way to pass a few hours on Main Street and I can't wait to return again to support this wonderful and local small business! Businesses like this are what Moncks Corner needs more of....not another chain fast food restaurant or big box retailer. Mayor Lockliear, please take note.

We recently hosted our daughter's First Communion celebration at Ophelia's Wines & Bites, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. Throughout the planning process, numerous promises were made regarding setup assistance, décor, staffing, food portions, beverage service, and overall event coordination that were either not followed through on or changed entirely by the day of the event. Family members and guests ended up handling many tasks that we were told would already be completed, including decorating, organizing tables, lighting candles, and addressing missing items while guests were arriving. Food portions were much smaller than represented during the tasting, several items we expected to be included were charged separately, beverage service was poorly managed, and there was little to no actual table service despite paying for what was presented as an "all-inclusive" event experience. Most upsetting was the lack of communication, follow-through, and accountability afterward. We spent a significant amount of money expecting professionalism and hospitality, but left feeling stressed, embarrassed, and taken advantage of during what should have been a very special day for our daughter. I am sharing this simply so others thoroughly clarify ALL expectations, pricing, staffing, setup responsibilities, food quantities, and service details in writing before booking an event there.

Dear chic fil a- This trifling conduct can not go on any…read morelonger I was suggested to get something from your establishment, and promptly, I did so. I ordered a chicken sandwich at 5:40 pm on a Saturday afternoon with my mother. With this delight I kindly asked for Polynesian sauce so I could maximize the experience of one of your finest delicacies. After ordering I waited and waited and waited, I then obtain my sustenance. I get home and finally get ready to chow down on one of, if not the most delicious fast food item of all time; the chic-fil-a sandwich. I open the bag, I see my sandwich, as I should see. But what about the thing I didn't see? The thing I SPECIFICALLY ASK FOR? My Polynesian sauce was.Not.There..... I pondered in disbelief, frantically repeated the phrase"where's my sauce? where's my sauce?" WHERE WAS MY SAUCE? I checked the bag, the other bag the CAR! It was no where but next to my sandwhich...Why? why can't I enjoy my chicken sandwich with some sauce on it? That's all I wanted, alas I might have asked for too much. But I just wanted some damn sauce, MY damn sauce. Did you see a black man in the car and think "oh he's lesser."? Was it the green hair that told you "oh you're better."?The trials and tribulation of being a sad, broke, teen, constantly getting kicked down by the world around him, just for me to not have my favorite sauce between the decadent chicken patty and the soft warm bun. I craved the sweet tang of the elixir sent from Polynesia, for it to grace my tongue with its amazing flavor. Unfortunately the experience wasn't deemed necessary for people like me according to YOU. This atrocity cannot go on anymore. Right your wrongs before I right them for you. (Aka making my own sauce)
