    Truffle Short Rib PIZZA
    Vivian S.

Fireside Pizza in Moncks Corner is an absolute gem and delivers a dining experience that goes far beyond expectations. From the moment you walk in, you're greeted by a warm, welcoming staff and an atmosphere that feels both relaxed and elevated--casual enough to enjoy comfortably, yet clearly driven by culinary passion and quality. The food is exceptional. The truffle short rib pizza is a standout and truly unforgettable. The short rib is tender, rich, and deeply flavorful, perfectly complemented by the earthy truffle notes without being overpowering. The crust is expertly done--crispy on the outside with just the right chew--clearly the result of skill and attention to detail. Knowing that the ingredients are made in-house only adds to the appreciation; every bite tastes intentional, fresh, and thoughtfully crafted. The cheesesteak egg rolls are another must-have. Crispy on the outside, generously filled, and bursting with savory flavor, they strike the perfect balance between comfort food and elevated appetizer. Dipping them into the spicy ketchup takes them to the next level, adding just the right amount of heat and tang to round everything out. Service truly elevates the experience. Dasha was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making sure everything was perfect without ever feeling intrusive. She keeps recommending items and pairings which made the interaction very entertaining. Her attentiveness and making sure service was top tier was met with perfection! Meeting the owner was a highlight as well. Learning that he was trained internationally within Michelin-star restaurants explains the level of execution and creativity on the menu. That high-level training clearly translates into the food, while still maintaining an approachable, community-focused vibe. You can tell when someone loves what they do especially as a chef because you can taste it in their food. Overall, Fireside Pizza is doing something special in Moncks Corner--combining top-tier culinary technique, house-made ingredients, outstanding service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Tucked away in a little corner beside the KFC, this hidden gem is so worth a revisit for the whipped ricotta and fried dough. This is easily a five-star experience and a place that deserves repeat visits. Highly recommended.

We had an event to work in this area and next to us was Fireside Pizza, so after viewing the menu, we decided to take pizza home for dinner. We ordered a Ceasars Salad and a Short Rib Pizza. Salad was delicious and I loved that they did toasted crumbs rather croutons. The short rib pizza was amazing, savory and tender tasty rib meat, but not overpowering. The fact that this spot is 50 minutes away will not deter us. Plus, there is a gorgeous Publix up there...so, groceries and dinner to go..win win!

Great find in Moncks Corner!! Great pizza, wonderful service and a beautiful mural to look at. I was watching the different dishes that came out to other diners that were sitting close to us and oh my I can't wait to go back and get some!! Just be careful turning into and out of the shopping center as the road splits and it can be hazardous!!

We decided to start hitting some smaller local places and this was our stop this week. And boy are we glad it was!! When we first walked in we noticed how clean the place was. And the waitress was super friendly. Great first impression. Then I ordered a chicken and pasta dish and my husband ordered the cheesesteak. The food was DELICIOUS!!!! They were able to get my chicken juicy on the inside with a wonderfully crunchy outside with tons of flavor! The pasta was cooked just right and the flavoring spot on! And it came out looking so pretty! The cheesesteak was so good that he had none left to take home lol. We will definitely be coming back to try more of the menu! Great local find!!!

Went for the first time, we had the Philly egg rolls and a pizza. Food was good, our waitress was friendly and chatted with us . Very clean and not too busy but we did go about 2pm.

Fireside SC is a hidden gem! Their homemade pasta is some of the best I've ever had--the short rib pasta and pistachio pesto are outstanding. The poke nachos are also a must-try. Great food, great service, and a casual vibe with five-star quality.

Incredible start to a new restaurant in the Low Country (Moncks Corner). Food fabulous and the service, while they are getting their feet wet, was good! Our server Sarah was attentive and made sure we were taken care of through our meal. Definite family vibe. Menu has something for everyone interested in a good meal. Highly recommend. Five stars!

I had one that was wrapped with bacon and topped with chili and queso which sounded better than it was. The other was a little better though I couldn't list everything on it. The dogs themselves weren't a high quality dog I'm used to like Nathan's, Sabretts, or Hebrew national. Service was great, restaurant was clean, great atmosphere, and food was very inexpensive. Worth a visit for sure.

Moncks Corner has so many fast food restaurants but today I wanted to spend my money on a local establishment That's My Dawg. I walked in, weary from a long day running events to be greeted by a guitarist, backing tracks, and 6 whooping elderly patrons. They were enjoying themselves, a little tipsy, and loud. Fortunately I wasn't looking for peace and quiet, just a quick to go order of a chili dog, sausage dog, wings, and onion rings. I shuffled my way to the counter, carrying the weight of the day only to wait 5 minute before spoken to by one of the servers. My order was placed quickly and was assured it would be out "soon." I took my seat to listen to a good guitarist with better backing tracks fighting a losing battle with the impending headache forming at the back of my skull. At the 10 minute mark I considered ordering a drink to silence my inner voice of doubt telling me I should have just gone to Chick-fil-a but surely my food would be out "soon." At the 20 minute mark, the guitarist stopped his set to take a break as I watch other patrons receive their food and drinks after I had ordered. I could only assume extra time and attention was being used for me. Perhaps they needed to grind the sausage in the back before cooking and serving it for my order. Perhaps they had to pluck all those fresh chicken wings. Maybe they were harvesting the onion in real time to deliver it to me. My orders surely not just food, but a statement of art and love too beautiful for human consumption. My excited and eagerness grew until the 30 minute mark when a different server asked if I had been helped. Was my order lost? Had I been forgotten? Maybe they weren't freshly grinding my sausage dog after all! Everything seemed to be ok because after I said I had a to go order, she never returned to give me an update. I had considered resting my eyes, which became increasingly difficult after the guitarists mandatory rendition of "Sweet Caroline" at the 45 minute mark. That's when the angel from the kitchen appeared, bag in hand. My expectations: high My anticipation: at a fever pitch My hunger: endless My reason to give my wife for taking so long: formulating I smiled and took the bag eagerly to my car to drive the 5 minutes to my house to enjoy this meal clearly crafted with an artist's hand and a mother's heart. ...the first words my wife spoke regarding her hot dawg was "weird" My sausage dog was serviceable, the wings were serviceable, the onion rings were also....serviceable. As I sat on my couch ignoring survivor, trying to enjoy the food I waited an entire set to receive, and holding back a primal scream regarding my 6am call time; a single tear fell down my cheek in my sheer disappointment and defeat from this experience. Maybe I'll go back when I'm not coming from work, and have no where to be urgently, and there isn't entertainment, and can order food in my third Jack and Coke. I really do want to try one of the great hot dogs I've been hearing about.

We recently hosted our daughter's First Communion celebration at Ophelia's Wines & Bites, and unfortunately the experience was extremely disappointing. Throughout the planning process, numerous promises were made regarding setup assistance, décor, staffing, food portions, beverage service, and overall event coordination that were either not followed through on or changed entirely by the day of the event. Family members and guests ended up handling many tasks that we were told would already be completed, including decorating, organizing tables, lighting candles, and addressing missing items while guests were arriving. Food portions were much smaller than represented during the tasting, several items we expected to be included were charged separately, beverage service was poorly managed, and there was little to no actual table service despite paying for what was presented as an "all-inclusive" event experience. Most upsetting was the lack of communication, follow-through, and accountability afterward. We spent a significant amount of money expecting professionalism and hospitality, but left feeling stressed, embarrassed, and taken advantage of during what should have been a very special day for our daughter. I am sharing this simply so others thoroughly clarify ALL expectations, pricing, staffing, setup responsibilities, food quantities, and service details in writing before booking an event there.

The atmosphere is charming, and the space itself appeared clean, but the place was completely empty during our visit, which surprised us. I ordered a Lambrusco from the sparkling section of the menu and expected something bubbly, but what came out was a still red wine. Everyone at the table was a little confused by that. Thankfully it still tasted good, so I kept it -- just not what I thought I ordered. For food, I had the crostini, which tasted good, but for the price I expected larger portions rather than very thin slivers of toasted bread with cheese and fruit. We also ordered the s'mores, which were fun and tasty, but again didn't quite feel worth the cost. A few more strawberries or a way to toast the marshmallows would've elevated it. The service was truly great, though. Our waitress was incredibly sweet, attentive, and checked on us often. She was definitely the highlight of the visit. The only real downside was seeing a few roaches on the wall. I know it's the South and it happens, but it's still not ideal in a dining setting, even in a place that otherwise seemed clean. Overall, Ophelia's has so much charm and potential, and with a few improvements -- clearer menu descriptions, portion adjustments, and addressing the pest issue -- it could be a wonderful go-to spot.
