The Family and I had just left a back to school bash at Cathedral Academy. The place we normally go for Italian Food is right next to the house and right next to our daughter's school, but they are closed on Tuesdays. We decided to visit Amici's in person. We've ordered several times online through food delivery service. It was always very good but we never wanted to try driving that far out from home. We are very glad that we made that decision. From the time that we were greeted at the entrance by the Owner, Jennifer to the time we left, we were happily surprised how everything went. We had the Mozzarella Fritti appetizer (nothing like frozen mozzarella sticks) and everyone inhaled them. Their table bread is also very good, no oil needed. The kids got spaghetti and meatballs, both large portions and very good quality. My Wife got the Sausage Ziti and I got the Veal Parmesan with Fettuccine Alfredo. The meal and service was excellent and we will not only come back, we will bring visitors next time. Thanks again for a great night. Another thing we enjoyed was the family vibe, lights not too dim and just a welcoming feeling.

Service was quick and friendly. Ambiance is that of a small Bistro with Italian music playing in the background . Table tops have red and white clothes cover with a piece of glass. Parking is limited to about 10 space, So you have to park next door or across the street. The food was average nothing to really talk about. The chicken Marsala had a white cream sauce, which is really different from the normal red-brown sauce you might find at other restaurants. It came with a very tasteless Marsala sauce on top that tasted like Fettuccine White sauce. The chicken itself had a ghost flavor but it was overcooked and some fatty gristle . The bread was tasty. Not that impressed with the food. Prices were average for this type of restaurant. Not sure if I would recommend this establishment. Maybe it was an off night , early Friday evening around 5:30 pm - 6:00pm. They do take reservations.

My wife and I arrived in Charleston and got set up a little later than normal. Checking on Yelp. We decided Italian was on the menu for tonight. We are very happy that we stopped at the spot! The interior, and somewhat exterior, does little to show how good the food is. My wife and I started with cocktails. Our bartender knew how to make a Negroni without any issue! For an appetizer we decided on the trio of appetizers! It was a lovely assortment of fried ravioli, mozzarella sticks, and Caprese salad. The only thing odd was that There seem to be spinach instead of basil for the Caprese salad. I decided on a special that they had going on, salmon piccata. My wife decide on the build your own pasta, spaghetti, Bolognese. The dishes came out relatively quickly, and we're absolutely delicious! We chased it all down with a nice bottle of unshackled Prisoner. There's a lot of worse places one could be, we're so happy we lucked out finding a spot as good as this! Keep up the great work!

Such a nostalgic local gem. My husband is from NYC and this felt so familiar in its decor, menu, and service. I felt they offered a real value with nice portions of high quality food. Loved the fresh bread and salads. Nice wines by the glass, we had the Meomi Pinot and recommend it! The gnocchi with carbonara and shrimp was decadent and divine. The chicken parm was delicious, but I might ask to change the pasta sauce next time. The marinara was a bit acidic for our taste (but we still enjoyed it). Our server was both very efficient and the exact right amount of friendly. The owner Jennifer popped by each table during our visit. Next time I'm trying dessert!

The environment is very welcoming, and loved the music playing (Sinatra, Nat King Cole, etc). Friendly staff. I was very pregnant craving eggplant. The eggplant parm was a little on the thin side as I was hoping for leftovers but was able to devour it in one sitting. The mozz sticks are fantastic. Tiramisu is top 5 I've had, ever. I've since had the eggplant rollatini and that dish is pure perfection.

Best authentic Italian food in the Lowcountry. The ambiance feels like the real deal. Your service has a real good chance to be assisted by a family member. The mozzarella sticks are logs . Huge and delicious. The soups are fresh made and go great with any dish. Love this place.

We went here last weekend and it was excellent. I had fried ravioli for an appetizer and my husband and a friend got calamari. We all were impressed with the food. For the main course, I had lasagna, hubby ordered chicken Alfredo and our friend chose baked ziti. We again were very impressed. The service was excellent, very good and timely. The ambiance is perfect with the red checkered table cloths and Christmas music softly playing. None of us had ever been there before and we were happy with our visit. We will definitely be back.

Moving back to Charleston after 25 years or so means that while I'm a native, I'm also a "newbie…read moreaka noob" at the same time. However, to look at it in a positive light, I get to explore the area while somewhat knowing the "lay of the land," so to speak. Thus, when my uncle came up from Jacksonville and asked where we could go for a couple glasses of wine I had no clue, thus asking google. The place that I really liked was Accent on Wine. When I first pulled off Dorchester Rd, I thought I had bad directions b/c there wasn't much that set it apart - ie curb appeal from a distance. That all changed opening the door! Walking in the first thing you'll notice is the compact yet quaint wine selection. I love this type of atmosphere as appeals to my snobbish wine nature. The tables and floors are rustic, gleaming with multifunctional utilization that were obtained from an estate sale in the far country. The ceiling is a hybrid of open and closed exposure, being tastefully yet frugally composed. Decore is minimal yet tasteful yielding it's way to open white wall space. It's very tastefully thought out. Finally, as a lover of all things 80s, the music was spot on. Adam Ant, Depeche Mode and Flock of Seagulls really created an upbeat ambiance. I sat down then after watching other patrons I realized that ordering beverages and/or food meant you have to go to the bar offset on the right. No problem as I'm willing to engage in a new experience. Talking with the very nice bartender, it's set up this way to have the limited staff focus on important items like slinging suds or grapes and not inconvenienced with the complexities of life such as WALKING. I joke and I have no problem with the setup. Again, I want to reiterate the staff here are excellent; knowledgably in the menu and being able to engage in bar talk. If one were to consider Cheers as a reference point: the good attributes of Sam, Cliff and Norm mixed into two people. I literally just came from eating at La Minerva and while I would have loved to sample their menu I wasn't hungry. However, I did opt for a glass of wine. As stated before I love wines and more specifically red wines from either Bourdeau, Burgendy or Rhone and "son on a gun" they had a Cote-du-Rhone Villages 2022. To fill you guys in, I just moved from Austin TX and almost no where I went could you buy a French red wine by the glass, so pardon my elation! The wine was really good with a balance of black current, cherry and licorice while slowly melding on the tongue, rounding out the experience to a smooth landing. Not pretentious, not overpowering just a mellow experience while having enough tannis to poke you if you wanted to forget. Overall, I love this joint, my style of low-key, sophistication, supply of items I like and while there weren't many people there, the vibe was a mixture of life: whether it's sitting and relaxing or a more energetic affair. I'm extremely curious what the atmosphere is like in terms of more people hanging out and also the food. Today call me Arnold b/c "I'll be back...."

We came in on a Friday around 5:45pm and things were already pretty busy. We grabbed 2 seats at the beautiful bar and were immediately greeted by the staff. They have Happy Hour Monday - Saturday from 4-6 so we just made it. The charcuterie inside the repurposed wine bottle is such a fun idea. The meats and cheeses and nuts and crackers were delicious. The serving was quite large for a happy hour app. We started with glasses of prosecco and a chilled red which were on the happy hour menu as well. Melissa was behind the bar and she is AMAZING! Once happy hour was over and we learned there was live music from 7-9 we pretty much decided we were staying all night. Melissa made sure we never felt rushed. Honestly it felt like sitting in a cafe in Europe where enjoying a bottle of wine with friends is supposed to take time and never be quick. She helped us pick a bottle of sparkling rosé and it was very very good. And the price point was so reasonable. They have an extensive wine list and seriously the prices range from $23-$100+ so there's something for everyone. Once the music started we ordered the Sopressata and hot honey flat bread. It was great to share and the flavor was wonderful. It took a little while to come out of the kitchen, but Melissa made sure to check in and let us know. The space itself is so fun. There's a huge bar and a couch with comfortable chairs and tables along the wall. They also offer a small number of patio seats right outside. It got really crowded and reservations were almost a must. Another side note, the bathrooms are so nice. They're clean and well decorated and stocked with everything you could need from feminine products, to mouthwash and more. This spot is seriously a must visit! And I really appreciate their social media and website being up to date with all the specials and events going on. They have live music several nights per week and they also do classes like paint and sip nights. I cannot wait to go back!

The seating was comfortable, and there was "lite" live music in the corner; a solo singer with a guitar who played just loud enough to enjoy without killing conversation. There was also a wine tasting going on at the end of the bar, hosted by one of the vendors, which was a fun touch. Unlike the previous wine bar, Charlotte's actually offers food, and we were handed full menus right away. We decided to share a bunch of small plates, assuming they'd be, well, small. We were wrong. The portions were generous, and everything was delicious. Meatballs in marinara with fresh basil and olive oil, a Mediterranean veggie flatbread with feta, and a lovely, light whipped ricotta served with crostini toasts. My only complaint is that there weren't quite enough crostini for the mountain of ricotta we were given. The wine was solid. I went with a still rosé while my friends had reds, and everyone was happy. The door never stopped revolving the whole time we were there, which tells me this place is already a hit. It's exactly what Mount Pleasant needed along that stretch of Coleman Boulevard.
