New Year's Eve and Chick Fil A was closed. I decided to give Slim Chickens a try. When they first opened they were awesome. I ordered a chicken sandwich meal and ordered my husband a cayenne ranch chicken sandwich meal. I got 2 honey mustard's and 2 ranch dipping sauce. I got to the window and the employee asked me if I got the chicken tender meals, I told her no. She was frustrated after that. I got home and we opened our items and my husband's was okay but my sandwich looked like it was thorn in the box and there were no fries I ordered. I think they are going downhill. I liked their wrap and sandwiches but yesterday my sandwich felt like the chicken stayed under a warmer for a while. The chicken was really tough and lukewarm. French fries were the same. Definitely not made fresh. This is the second time this had happened. My not return to Slim Chickens because quality has gone down. read more

On Tuesday, September 16, 3025, at approximately 1259 hours I, Dante G., responded to The Slim Chickens located at 451 North US Highway 52, which is in the jurisdiction of the town of Moncks Corner, county of Berkeley, and state of South Carolina, in reference to an animal complaint, specifically sightings of a large, aggressive black dog. Upon my arrival, I entered the building via the outward opening door centrally located on the D-side of the building. I moved directly to the point of sale, was met by Sheryl, and ordered a classic meal adequately described as containing 4 chicken fingers, fries, and a fountain drink. I chose honey barbecue as my tossin' sauce as well as my dippin' sauce. I located a two top and took a seat. A few moments later, my meal was delivered. The tenders were wonderfully moist and perfectly fried. There was not an excess of sauce. The fries were crunchy outside, soft inside. The drink was Cherry Coke. I went back for a $7.76 banana pudding. It came in a branded mason type jar with lid, so it was worth it. It tasted wonderful. The staff were just as amazing as the food. I was disappointed, however, at a lack of memorabilia of Son House or Robert Johnson. Nothing from Greenwood or Clarksdale, MS. No Highway 49 or Highway 61 references. It's a rainy Sunday morning, and I don't feel like cooking lunch. I ordered waffles and tenders, a Club Sandwich, and fried mushrooms. Unfortunately, I did not receive the mushrooms. I attempted to contact the store, and it hung up on me. I was trying to avoid going back in the rain, but this was quite a disappointment. The building is new! The employee I interacted with was also kind. However, the Classic Chicken Sandwich reminded me of the old taste of Chick-fil-A sandwiches, just a whole lot better! Delicious. Laci took our order and since it was our first time she walked us through the menu. Sauces are made on site. My son had the two tender meal. I had the Smokey cheddar wrap. Food took a little while to arrive to the table but I chalked it up to them being super busy. When it arrived, everything was awesome. Wrap was freshly made and so tasty. After waiting 20 minutes in a 3 car line to receive an order of cold, dry tenders and nothing special fries I don't understand what the selling proposition is for the product. Big wings, good sauce options and reasonable in price for the amount of food they serve. It's a hit or miss on service as they can't control people's attitude but worth it for the food. It's my top 3 wing chain for sure. They also have deserts that are very good and even get a mason jar it came in to take home. I'd recommend them to anyone. read more

The first few times we went there the food and service were amazing. The last two times I have seen drop off in both. This place has/had so much potential but it is already faltering, which is not surprising in this area in general. The last two orders have been to go and that may be where the issue stems. They completely messed up the two previous orders, we ate what we got the first time and the food was mediocre at best and this last one we drove all the way back and the crew was so unapologetic it was laughable, speaking of laughable the kitchen crew was actually laughing about messing up the order so loudly we could hear it from the counter.
