My family and I have never tried Come Back Shack since they have opened up. We decided to try it one day and it was really good. One of my favorites is the Baja Chicken sandwich. The fresh lettuce and avocado makes the sandwich taste so good. They give you a big slice of chicken as well that is very flavorful. My daughter's favorite is the Hawaiian chicken Sandwich. She loves the pineapple in it. Their seasoned fries are a little oily and soggy sometimes, but it's very good. They are also very quick at getting orders ready, especially the drive through. Came here with my two younger kids. I had the local burger, my youngest son had the bacon double patty melt with fries, my daughter had the original burger with seasoned fries. We all really enjoyed the food! Very reminiscent of a Five Guys (it's also a chain) but with an added emphasis on everything being fresh and not frozen, and most things being all natural. Today, Come Back Shack reminded me why I love their food! The ahi tuna was cooked to perfection, seasoned beautifully and the extra spinach and grilled onions were on point. I absolutely love, love , their fresh cut fries when hot and crispy. Again, today, they did NOT disappoint. This is another regular place we visit when funds are low! I typically get the Hawaiian chicken sandwich which is always very flavorful and the pineapple makes it perfect. I'm gonna correct and clear up a couple things since my last visit in 2019. I said that they were a chain (which I thought was the case), but they only have four locations total and they are locally owned... big plus. Secondly, I thought my burger back then was a little small so they must have upped the quantities because this time it was huge. I had the bacon double patty melt and it was delicious. We shared an order of the ranch fry with bacon, cheese, and ranch on them and while they were good, they became wet and soggy instantly. I would almost prefer the ranch on the side to dip. I've recently decided come back to the come back shack and I can say that there an increase in the quality comparative to a few years back. The food is decently priced and my son received a student discount for attending a local college. The food was fresh and the amount is generous. This is the place to be Thursdays after 3 pm. They have half off milkshakes and large drinks until close. We have stopped here several times after basketball practice around 9 pm and they are busy but the line moves well. Their fries are some of my favorite, if they are cooked properly. I've had one trip where they were hard and not great but every other time they've been fresh and soooo good. I've picked up Shack burgers recently and they were cooked well and all the toppings were fresh. I will definitely be back for shakes and fries in the near future! read more

The Comeback Shack is really clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. It is a family owned business and not a franchise or a chain restaurant. The beef is all grass fed and almost all of their foods is made in house each day. The burger are hand patties and the fries are hand cut. My all time favorite thing is the burger with the fried green tomatoes and pimento cheese, it is amazing!! The hand cut fries were a little soggy today but still good. The comeback shack sauce is dynamite and will make even soggy fries taste fabulous!! I am taking one star off for my husband's Hawaiian chicken sandwich, it didn't have much seasoning. Bait and switch I love this place until today. I went through the drive thru to get my daughter the Burger/slider kids meal which states will cost $7.00 before tax. After placing my order the drive through attended attempted to charge me $11.90 I questioned why the difference and she stated the prices have changed. I saw "Best Chicken Tenders in Town" advertised on their sign out front and I had to go check out their claim! Instead of tenders... I received slightly above room temp, soggy tender chunks and fries. Cole Slaw was barely seasoned and had a "tang" that makes you question if it's starting to spoil. This was my first visit to the place, and I originally went for a turkey burger, only to find out they no longer offer it. However, I had the chance to meet the manager and the owner, who were there, and the food was amazing. The cashier even came by to check on me. Their menus is clear that their food is freshly prepared and you will note the difference when tasting it. Their hand cut fries are seasoned perfectly with salt and fresh. They offer very friendly service either at the counter or at the self order kiosks and happy to answer questions and offer recommendations. We love this little local joint; owned independently out of NC. The consistency of their food ranks high with us- quality ingredients that taste like 'freshness'. We appreciate that the chicken is moist, only lightly breaded and doesn't taste like it's saline infused (if you know then you know). The fries are always fresh, hot & not greasy. They want you to come on in and sit down and either order online or at a kiosk.
