Came here with some coworkers and it was very surprising. It doesn't look like much from the outside but when you step through the door you are thrown into an old style home feel restaurant. 'Red' that's his name, he was our server and he is so kind! Very personable and always smiling. This is my first time here and he is probably the reason I will return. Everyone was nice and had smiles on their faces. And the food is amazing which is an added bonus. I had the chicken wrap and everyone else had the chicken fried steak. We ordered the turkey club supreme and the special for the day which was cheese quesadillas with chicken tortilla soup. All was very good. Fred was our server and although they were nearly out of the fried chicken special, he did his best to find alternatives and provided great service with a smile. I had the Barony House Club Melt, my son had the Turkey Club Supreme, and my husband had the Chicken Fried Steak, they were all rated highly by us! Southern cooked meals at their finest!!! Good food but this place has much room for improvement... I dined here about a month ago and was forced to sit in the porch area which normally I would not mind except they had a noisy portable A/C unit sitting on the floor right next to my chair blowing dust in my food. Not cool... Pun intended! The table that we were seated at was barely big enough for one person let alone three people. As a result, we had to keep moving cups, plates and condiment racks around just so all of our food would fit on the table. Suggestion: Replace the smaller tables with slightly larger ones or only seat two people at the smaller tables... The "waitress" that waited on us seemed rushed and hurried and it definitely seemed like they were trying to get us served and get us out of there asap. When I am a paying customer you do not want to be rushing me, trust me. She's lucky I left her a tip.... I had to ask her three times to refill my coffee and on one of the times she gave me a "look".... Not cool.... There was a male waiter waiting on the table next to us that was literally almost shouting at the top of his lungs to the people next to us. Not sure why he felt the need to talk so loudly, perhaps it was due to the noisy floor-standing A/C unit that he was competing with.... Not cool... And lastly, this place has the most bizarre business hours. They are closed on Saturday and Monday. Name me one restaurant that is closed on a Saturday besides this one... just one.... They only serve dinner two nights out of the week, Thursday and Friday.... Whatever, their business, their rules, I just think they should rethink their dining hours... I will say that the food is quite good as are the portion sizes, so yes, they score high where it counts most! If they could address the wait staff issues and perhaps ammend their dining hours and consider opening up on Saturday and maybe close Monday and Tuesday that too would go a long way to help this business. read more

First time at this restaurant, and was for their traditional Thanksgiving meal. Very impressed! Almost felt like I was at Hall's with the immediate and personal service. An older lady who I think was the hostess took it upon herself to come tell us our food was talking a long time and my sister asked how much longer. While we are eating some loudmouth guy comes out of the bad and just yells at the rest of the restaurant they have 20 to go orders and they will get the food out to the tables as soon as they can. My wife and I have been wanting to go here for a while. This place does appear to be a home that was converted to a restaurant. It was very clean. When we walked in we were promptly greeted and seated. The hostess was very polite and nice. Shortly after being seated we were greeted by our server who was also very polite and professional. He immediately took our drink and appetizer order. Shortly after that we ordered our meals. We also had dessert after our meals. The service was good and our orders were accurate. They also had a decent menu selection. For the appetizer we had deep fried ravioli, which waa really good, cheesy and cooked perfectly. We also received complimentary bread. For my main course I ordered the chargrilled ribeye steak. For the sides I had the option of a side and a salad or two sides. I was not feeling a salad so I opted to have two sides. I was brought up as a meat and potato kind of guy so both of my sides were mashed potatoes and gravy. I thought the steak was seasoned perfectly. It was also cooked accurately as I ordered it (medium). This was probably one of the best tasting steaks I have had at a restaurant since I lived back home. The mashed potatoes were nothing special though. They were just average. My wife ordered the chicken fettuccine alfredo which was on point and was very tasty. Her meal came with a house salad. For dessert we shared the triple chocolate cake. This cake was five layers of chocolaty goodness. It was moist and felt fluffy and light in my mouth. We will definitely go back, it is a nice casual place. I feel like this is a nice little hidden gem in Moncks Corner. I wish they were open a few more nights for dinner. visited your restaurant on Friday evening (2-16-2024). I was there because a young lady from our church was celebrating her birthday. When me and my husband enter your restaurant and the greeter was coming to the desk to greet us. A waitress pointed for us to go to our right. We did thought nothing of it till later. We are an African American Couple and to the right it was a party. But why would she assume that we was with them and not just coming to dine just the two of us. Our church party was not all African American. I order blackened Salmon with collards and loaded baked potato. When the waitress bought our food she placed it and left. When we were seated she didn't tell me and my husband her name. After receiving my food she came back a few minutes later and asked the end of the table were we wasn't seated did they want any refills. When she returned to bring one of the member his food cause they had to cook noodles from him. I told her that my Salmon was Cold and I couldn't eat. Her response was you should have said something earlier I can't do anything about it now. I had only taste my Salmon so I basically had the whole Salmon on my plate. My response to her was that I would just take it home and heat it. My collard and potato was at a good temperature so I ate collard and half of potato. I work with food on a daily basis I know that if food drops below the hold temperature especially meat that bacteria can form and make you sick. Also in order to eat it has to be brought up to temperature or discard. The time should have been around 7:50-8:00 pm. give or take a few minutes. I don't know if the kitchen was closed but I feel your waitress response was rude. If was visit was a more pleasant one I would definitely come back. I love my menu choice but didn't enjoy it. If I did it would definitely save my a trip to Charleston or Summerville for Salmon. I found out my waitress name for the other member when we were leaving. Her name is Holly. My wife Diane and I ate lunch there today. What a surprisingly wonderful experience. We both ordered the special, chicken livers with sweet potatoes and Lima beans for the sides. I also had the house salad with the homemade honey mustard dressing. We Both agreed it was undoubtedly the best chicken livers we had ever eaten. Long considered the "fine-dining" establishment in Moncks Corner. It's not downtown Charleston fine-dining, but it's good eats and probably the only restaurant in Moncks Corner with tablecloth dining. The lunch menu contains daily specials and my favorite is the chicken bog on Tuesday. I had excellent sides of collards and butter beans.
