Ribs, Cole slaw, and Mac and cheese

Y'all. This place did not disappoint. First, it's honestly in a beautiful location, right on the river. The inside is big and has a laid back feel. Our server was friendly and even gave us some sweet tea to go even though we hadn't ordered it since it was the end of the night. We really appreciated that. Food was awesome! Pork rinds and pimento cheese dip were delicious. We did a brisket plate and a rib plate. The ribs fell right off the bone and the brisket had a great flavor. I think this place definitely has been brisket than home team. We got brisket and beans, corn pudding, Cole slaw, and Mac and cheese for sides. They were amazing but the corn pudding was my favorite. My boyfriend loved the Mac and cheese the most. Cole slaw was decent. We left with so many leftovers and will be back!!

Won't be back.... called twice a week apart to make sure they had WHOLE catfish on Friday . Both times i was told yes. Ordered and what came to the plate was burnt filet of catfish . NOT WHOLE. Manager , Cris , came to the table routinely and asked how is the meal. When i told him about the catfish ; his only answer was "GIRLS ANSWERING PHONE" and could not get away from the table fast enough. I'm sorry your the manager and you don't have staff meetings to inform daily specials etc. Poor excuse for a manager..not even an apology. The wife had pork belly ; overcooked and dry while the brisket was just ok . Sorry.. your not the only restaurant; i can choose much better .

Just had their Pastrami and it too was out of this world! I Jason had a glass of their blonde ale that was fantastic. Talked to the manager and he tries all their beers and says he would not have one that wasn't worth the money. I say that since most all their beers are 7-8 dollars. All I canebayflyer@gmail.com say is this place rocks!

Have eaten here a few times. My wife and I love the atmosphere and the food. Last time, our server, Aliya, and the manager, Chris, were hospitable and made us feel at home. Highly recommend the pork puppies as an appetizer with the spicy dark sauce. Gotta get the pulled pork and the ultimate nasty speciawas a delicious pastrami sandwich.

Oh my gawd!!! This Californian loves her some southern bbq and this was by far the best I've had!! Katie our server was a doll!! Go say howdy from me!! Everything is in house made!! The brisket was to die for - also slathered that with some jalepeno bbq sauce - chefs kiss!! It's a fun atmosphere with a dockside view! Can't wait to go back!

    Corn pudding. A must try.

Amazing!!! we got there around noon. They were pretty busy, but the hostess seated us relatively quickly. Our waitress Nicole was great! The real headliner was the food! My wife and I split the brisket grilled cheese, which was crazy good. We also shared some smoked wings, which were awesome and the pulled pork puppies. Everything was delicious. And I know barbecue I have been eating it my entire life, but this place was Spot on. Excellent work! We will definitely be back to this hidden gem.

The food and service was amazing. I will come here again when in town. Sarah was the best server that I have had in a very long time. I cannot recommend this place enough. The boats outside and atmosphere is amazing.

We have eaten at this Swig and Swine 3 times now and is my absolute favorite place. Richelle has waited on us 2 of the 3 times. She made our dining experience fun. I work for a restaurant owner in Georgetown, SC. If she lived closer I would be trying to steal her. Thank you Richelle!!!

My half eaten corn pudding, smoked wings, mac and cheese, and smoked turkey -- SO GOOD

I have never had a bad drink here. I got the Batata Clarified Milk Punch (description in picture) which was fantastic. The toasted marshmallow garnish was a great touch for the season we were in. My mom got the Bourbon and Clyde and she said it was incredible. Description also in picture. The orange foam and pistachio crumble was a great addition. Another great drink for autumn. My second drink was the Smokin Indo which was probably my favorite. They performed the smoked glass technique with applewood which was not only cool to watch but added a unique flavor to the drink. We always make a point to get the assorted cheeses when we are here because they make a great charcuterie board. They switch up the cheeses just like they change their cocktail menu. Love to sit at the bar because it is truly an art to watch the bartenders make these drinks and really adds to the experience. Everyone who works here is super kind and knowledgeable on their craft. However, if you are able to be there when the two Doar brothers are working it makes it truly special. They give postcards with their check and there's a bowl of matchbooks sitting on the bar. One of the best cocktail bars in Charleston. Debated writing this because I selfishly want to keep it under the radar but it definitely deserves its accolades.

The service was on point and the bartender was killing it at the bar - multitasking making 3 drinks all at once. It was super impressive and I took a few videos of him. I'm giving 4 stars because the first cocktail I ordered was SO SWEET that I couldn't get it down. I tried to drink it but had to send it back. We asked when we ordered about the flavor profile and supposedly it wasn't sweet, but all 3 of us agreed it was way oversweet. My black manhattan was phenomenal and my husband had a mocktail moscow mule that was awesome. Overall, I'd come back again - just be mindful of the ingredients in the drink and modifying as needed for sweetness. Make a reservation if you can!

It sets the tone immediately, and the festive energy carries straight through the meal. We kicked things off with Bloody Marys and a Morning Fog -- simple, classic, and done right. For starters, we shared the Hula Hoisin Wings. They were definitely on the heavier side with the hoisin, but still absolutely delicious. The Mistletoe Mango Tuna Poke Tacos were a standout. They come as a small plate with three appetizer-sized tacos, and every bite was bright, fresh, and beautifully balanced. The Buddy the Elf Burger offers a choice of a single or double patty; ours was cooked perfectly. The smoky bacon really brought everything together and gave it that extra "wow" factor. We rounded things out with the O Come, All Ye Fried Rice with Hanger Steak, which was another winner -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and incredibly satisfying. As if the meal wasn't great enough on its own, we happened to be there while Emily Curtis was performing. She's truly incredible and added such a fun, memorable vibe to the day. I'd be remiss not to mention Kevin our server. Go see him. He was great. The whole team works great together. Don't let the bar-like atmosphere fool you -- Prohibition is far from your typical bar food or bar scene. There's a great space in the back, and the elevated menu makes it absolutely worth the visit. A festive, flavorful, all-around fantastic experience.

The drinks are priced on the higher end, but the relaxed, comfortable atmosphere makes it feel approachable. We also love that they offer seasonal and holiday cocktails, which is right up our alley. We brought Luna along and sat on the patio, which was a nice option. I would love to see heaters added outside to make the patio more comfortable on cooler nights. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive throughout our visit. I ordered the Fireside Chat (served warm), made with Four Roses Bourbon, Croft Tawny Port, apple cider, orange juice, grenadine, turbinado sugar, allspice, and clove ($15). I really enjoyed the flavor profile--warm, well-balanced, and perfect for the season. That said, I was a little disappointed that my second drink wasn't garnished nearly as nicely as the first, especially given the price. Flavor-wise, though, both were very good. My husband started with the Gingersnap, which includes Monkey Shoulder blended Scotch whisky, Disaronno almond liqueur, butterscotch liqueur, spiced ginger syrup, heavy cream, Angostura bitters, cookie rim, and nutmeg ($16). He enjoyed it but felt it was definitely a one-drink cocktail due to how sweet, creamy, and heavy it was. He also ordered the Smoked Maple-Bacon Old Fashioned with bacon fat-washed bourbon, spiced maple syrup, tobacco bitters, and a salted brown sugar rim ($16). This one was a miss for him--too sweet, with the maple and smoke overpowering the drink, and not much bacon flavor coming through. That said, the presentation was excellent; watching the smoke being lit was a highlight, and I even grabbed a video of it. Our total came to about $71 before tip, and we didn't order any food, so it's definitely on the pricier side. Still, for the ambiance, creative cocktails, and overall experience, I think it's worth it--especially for a relaxed night out with a more elevated feel.
