First, I was uncomfortable with the bartender repeatedly calling me "Honey" throughout my meal. While I understand this may be intended as friendly or personable, it came across as forced and insincere to me. What works for some guests can feel disrespectful or patronizing to others, and I found it distracting and off-putting. Very disappointed again with Texas Road house. This is the second time this has happened. In order my meal. Got up to go to the restroom and when I got back my table was cleared and staff was sitting at my table. The waiter brought my drink back which was the wrong drink I order in the first place. You get a great value for your money at Texas Roadhouse. The food is delicious and fresh. I don't eat steak and my husband typically prefers to grill his own, but he says the steaks here are cooked perfectly. I eat seafood and liked both the fried catfish and the grilled shrimp. The tartar sauce for the fried catfish is different, with a mustard flavor, and all of the salad dressings are signature to Texas Roadhouse as well. Your meal starts with yeast rolls and cinnamon butter- you won't be able to resist them, and you shouldn't, but do stop at 1-2 so you can still enjoy your meal when it arrives. You can see the rolls being made when you enter the restaurant, which is a nice touch. The atmosphere is super casual, and I like that. At fancy steakhouses, the wait staff watches you like a hawk and can be overbearing, but not here. They keep your drinks filled and work super hard, but aren't pretentious. You don't have to dress up unless you want to, and it works for a dinner after a day of shopping in North Charleston. The bar has cocktails and NA mocktails and is inexpensive- less than $10 for a drink. The only negative for Texas Roadhouse is that the Charleston area only has this one. I wish Texas Roadhouse corporate would read this and put a location in West Ashley or Mt. Pleasant. I recommend joining the online waitlist on your way to the restaurant or coming right when they open for dinner so you don't have to wait as long. read more

My son ordered a house salad with Cesar dressing and ended up with a Cesar salad. My husband and my steaks were also swapped on the wrong plates. My son's ribs were dry and burnt. Dinner tonight for 2! Busy at 730 on a Wednesday night but the wait wasn't long at all for just us. My daughter loves the rolls & butter at this franchise so please don't ever change it. Our waitress was great! I didn't catch her name but she was on point with bringing out extra rolls, clearing plates and having full drinks before we even were empty on the first ones. Our food was fresh & prompt. Of course we love the rolls, but the Mozzarella Twists and Cesar Salads were also good. She got corn & a 6 Oz sirloin steak which were good. I got Fillet Medallions that came on a bed of rice and green beans. The medallions were flavorful but kinda chewy. The rice & green beans were good. She and I both agreed that The Texas Roadhouse steak sauce is too sweet though. A1 or Heinz 57 is preferred over the Roadhouse sauce. All in all our dinner was good, no real complaints. The restaurant itself is a typical fast paced franchise. Its a little dirty and the floors always feel slippery but it's not bad for an occasional quick week day dinner. My husband and I visited Texas Roadhouse for our anniversary dinner. My guy was craving a delicious steak. There was plenty of parking. You may want to get there early or add wait time to your schedule because this place was very busy. Luckily we only had to wait 15 minutes for a table. In the waiting area they have bags of peanuts in the shell that you can enjoy while looking at the delicious cuts of meat in the glass case. Our server Dylan was awesome. We told him that we were very hungry so we ordered right away and he quickly brought out our drinks and dinner rolls. He also told us that he put a rush on our food order and that also came out quickly! The rolls were freshly baked and delicious. I love the cinnamon butter! I ordered the Portobello mushroom chicken with steak fries and a salad. The chicken was very tender with cheese, brown gravy and thick slices of Portobello mushrooms. Very good! The steak fries were golden and delicious. The salad was very fresh with sliced eggs, tomatoes and mixed greens. The honey mustard dressing tasted freshly made. Had an early Anniversary dinner with my wife of 40 years at Texas Roadhouse in North Charleston. We arrived and the restaurant was nearly full but we got seated in about 15 minutes. We told our server, Dillon that we were starving and could he put a rush on our meals. He did just that, within 15 minutes we were served. Friendly young man that provided us with great service. I had the 14 ounce ribeye, baked loaded potato and a mixed green salad. The steak was cooked perfectly, juicy and flavorful. No steak sauce needed. I came in on 3/19 for a dinner. Food and service at the bar by Sara and Candice was excellent as always. They always provided excellent customer service and always made sure I was good. I was not impressed with the Atmosphere on today's visit. I was having to scream at the bar staff for my order. Due to the music being so loud. I had noice canceling headphones on and I could still hear in house music over my headphones audio. Its been a long time since we've stopped in. 1pm on a Sunday, we checked in through the website so we could get on the waiting list. You don't actually get on the list until you're in the parking lot when you text back HERE. We were notified our table was ready and we were seated. Our drinks were ordered and then she came back for our food order. The snake bites were flavorful but had WAY too much cheese in them. It tasted like a fried cheddar cheese ball. I cannot say I would order again. I ordered the pulled pork plate and my husband ordered a burger. They gave me enough pulled pork to make 4 sandwiches but only one small roll. If they hadn't cut the roll in half I wouldn't have questioned it but it was clearly to make a sandwich. The pulled pork was by far the worst I've ever eaten. It was dry and looked like mashed cardboard. My baked sweet potato was hard in the middle and my steamed veggies were hard. I had my one year old with me and I ordered sides specificially for her to eat and she couldn't. Beside from the food, our waitress only checked on us once and brought the wrong drink back. I'll always be in between 3-4 stars with Texas Roadhouse. It is incredibly hit or miss. Sometimes you'll go and the food will be great but you wait 2 hours for food. Sometimes you'll wait 45 minutes and it'll be undercooked. Lately they've really been doing well, and I hope they continue it that way. I checked in on the online waiting list, when we arrive I texted that we were on site, within a minute I received a text to go to the hostess stand, we were seated immediately with rolls and within maybe 2 minutes our waitress was taking our drink order. She returned with the drinks and then took our order. The food was delivered within 20 minutes and all was cooked to our request. I'm pleasantly surprised! I'm in town visiting family in Goose Creek. When we go out to eat we usually go to nearby areas, like North Charleston, Mt Pleasant, downtown or Summerville. I haven't tried Texas Roadhouse. I guess I kind of thought it was like a Golden Corral and that's not my jam. But this was more like the way Outback or Western Sizzler were back in the day. My mom and I both got a small sirloin, I got medium rare and my mom got medium well. Both were cooked perfectly. She got a baked sweet potato with just butter and the steamed vegetables (broccoli and carrots). I got a baked potato and green beans. They also give you yeast rolls with cinnamon butter. I enjoyed everything, even the glass of red wine! Our server was Morgan and she was friendly. I used the waitlist option from their website and we got a table right away while others waited to be sat. Okay truth be told I'm not a big Texas Roadhouse fan but my family seems to enjoy them. I say this because I find them very limited on attentive servers. Now I'm the first one to always pay attention to how many tables I see that server go to before I say anything and this time was no different. I just hate inconveniencing other servers to get us things like refills and their signature bread after watching three tables who came in after us get their bread first. If the server didn't tell me that the bread was in the oven and she would get it the second it came out I would not have thought much about it but looking around and not finding her while seeing others taking care of their tables was a little disappointing. They were a little busy so I guess I can understand it taking an hour for my food to come out and when it did it was just above room temperature but since we were in a rush, we just inhaled it and left. It's a shame to see customer service go far down that servers would much rather have conversation between each other than be bothered by tables. I know there are some great people that work there because I saw them being very attentive to their tables but ours had other things on her mind. read more

We absolutely loved Texas Roadhouse until tonight. Take Out Experience was a bust -- Ordered $95 of food, tipped accordingly. Wouldn't open up window for 5 minutes after ringing the doorbell. Lady was polite asking what I was there for, but slammed windows shut after I asked her about flatware, but before I could ask anything else. Told me all of it was there in the bag. 2 medium steaks came out Medium rare instead of medium well (couldn't check that until home--30 minutes away) and although it is partially our fault for not double checking behind them-- we were missing 1. the cinnamon butter for the rolls (my favorite part), 2. croutons on our salads and plus the cheese was such a small amt, it was like just having lettuce and dressing), and 3. chocolate drizzle on the brownie dessert. Our last experience was a few months ago and it was amazing. They went through all the food with us as they placed it in the bag and super friendly. I hope it was just a bad night and understaffed.
