Visited on a random weeknight last week. It wasn't very busy and it was nice and warm out so the outside bar had a good crowd. Our server was extremely polite and stayed on top of our drinks and brought everything out fresh and hot. Appetizer was the cheese curds.. they were delicious!! Served with marinara .. I love pepper jam w cheese curds but the marinara was so delicious. Husband ordered a 2 hotdog combo and he loved it. The fries were great and hotdogs were grilled or fried and that's the best way to have them. A little too much topping la but he scraped some off so it was fine. I had the fish and chips. It was a HUGE PORTION. I could only eat 1 small piece. Very tasty and again fries were great. No pic but we actually had dessert.. we did the peanut butter pie and it was a nice size. This is a cute family friendly pub with plenty of decor to checkout. Walking in we were greeting and told to sit anywhere we'd like. They have an extensive selection of various spirits displayed behind the bar. There were various tables including some cute uniquely shaped ones for larger parties and the TV's were playing live games. There's also seating outfitted which looked a bit more spacious than the indoor seating. We visitors on Monday night so just in time for Bingo! It was fun!! I enjoyed seeing all the families with little come out and have fun. There's also merch for purchase. Our server was attentive despite it being crowded. The food: the fried pickles were perfect. I had the patty melt and fries it was unflavirful but had all the fixings. My son had the chicken strips and fries; which he said were perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and juicy. The drinks were good and had just enough alcohol. Overall engage a great time and will be back to try different things in the menu. Definitely check this place out! New Dog and Duck restaurant in the Publix shopping center on Hwy 52 near Cypress Gardens. Definitely needed in this area. Pub style food. Great service. Affordable prices. I had the spicy Mahi taco and onion rings. My hubby had fried grouper and fries. My "spicy" mahi taco was not spicy but flavorful. Needed green onions and purple cabbage, maybe shredded carrots just to add more color to the dish. Onion rings were crispy and really good. My husband is not a huge fan of fish, but he really liked his fried grouper which he never had before. French fries were very good, but slightly over salted. Our server was great! Food: 3.8 - good pub food. Chicken nuggets and fried fish were cooked well and not over battered. Generally the menu looked like good pub food. Ambiance: 3.7 - small but nicely decorated. Lots of sports memorabilia and tvs. If you want somewhere to drink beer and have apps, seems like a good place. The 6 seater tables were very cool and unique. Service: the group I was with was between 1 and 3 on the service. the server was nice; however, forgot our friends drinks. They said to just bring water after awhile. The drinks were still on the bill. Also ran out of silverware so we ate with plastic forks. The food did come out hot and all at once. All the activities you'd want (corn hole, checkers etc) along with all the TVs inside and out! They have a full bar and a great beer selection! I live right by this place so I ordered food online, wings, once and picked it up, and it was pretty good. A couple days ago I came and sat at the bar and got a beer and a burger. The yeti burger was honestly amazing. Everything about it was good, right down to having a perfect slice of tomato. Would definitely recommend. The service pretty good. Good atmosphere. They are pretty much potato wedges with cheese and bacon on them but they are delicious. I got the French dip sandwich. It comes on Texas toast and was really good. Today we had a fabulous lunch experience at Dog and Duck in Moncks Corner. Our first impression as we took a seat at the bar was the warm reception by Gregory, the extremely professional, efficient bartender. He welcomed us asking our names as he introduced himself. After telling him that we are regulars at the Park West location we ordered our standard order of the Philly Cheesesteak. Then Greg introduced us to the restaurant manager, Brandon Maddox who was also very impressive. We shared with Brandon our hope that the sandwich would be as good as we get at the sister restaurant in Park West. The cheesesteak sub was EXCEPTIONAL and far exceeded our most recent experiences in Park West. Overall this restaurant is a win win with quality of management, staff and excellent food. We would love to see this local company open a Dog and Duck in our wonderful Pawleys Island area. read more

Man this is a hard review to write because it's a combination of 2 visits. I went the Saturday before St. Paddy's and they had a great atmosphere, bounce castle for kids, green beer, it was fun. Then I went back on Monday, the day of St. Patrick, and he would be rolling in his grave if he knew anything about this poor attempt at "Guinness Stew". It was more like a bowl of brown gravy with 5 potatoes that were boiled before tossed in, one slice of carrot, 3 pieces of gristly beef, and I think were lentils? A LOT of lentils. Just, sad. Moncks Corner doesn't have many highly-rated restaurants. This is a really good place if you're with friends family and kids, and just want to have good food. The restaurant is super big inside and out, with tons of TV's if you want to watch the game. The service was good and hostess didn't do much to help in a packed restaurant. This was my first time here and I am very impressed. It JUST opened and we went there with 6 of us to eat. We waiting approx 20 minutes for a table which is fantastic to us. Our food had 0 mistakes and our server was fantastic. I got a club sandwich and fries which was fantastic. I also got the cheese curds, and they melted in your mouth. Initial review: We are happy to have a dog and duck here! We loved the Summerville location and yes I know it's different owners. We have been twice since opening. It's clear they are way busier than expected and with the cold nights everyone is coming inside. The staff handles the crowd well. The service is good considered how busy they are. The food needs work. Both times the fried food is overcooked. Everything is dark brown. If you get dry rub wings you really can't tell the difference between each flavor because the wing is so dark The chicken fingers and fish are the same, over fried. We had a taco wrap that was pouring grease from it. Simply straining the meat before you put in the wrap would fix this but either haste, inexperience in the the kitchen, or lack of caring prevailed. I think the food will improve once all the Initial bombardment ends. We will return and hopefully over the next few visits this will get better. They got some stiff competition just a few parking spots over. read more

The bartenders are very attentive and courteous. Their chili and slaw are fantastic, especially on a dog... we get the Don Knott's and have enjoyed it each time. The bloody Marys are also good but do not recommend their house Chardonnay. They have indoor and outdoor seating and do allow patrons to bring dogs, which we are not fans of. I've lost hearing in one ear and I'd much rather hear conversation than barking. We prefer to sit at the bar, normally better/quicker service. We really like this restaurant and will continue to be repeat customers, plus one of our favorite grocery stores is in the same lot. read more

My husband and I ate at the Moncks Corner, SC location yesterday evening. We immediately realized the friendly upbeat manager, Mike was not working. As usual, when Mike is off this location is a "hot mess"! We watched the manager on duty, Carlton laugh and joked with four wait staff while we waited at least 6 minutes before someone came to acknowledge our table. Three different servers walked past our table and never even acknowledged us. Finally, our server came over and appeared to be overwhelmed. We waited an additional 12 minutes before the server came back to take our order. The place was NOT busy, lots of empty tables. We ordered an appetizer, BBQ Rub 12 wings, they were dropped off with no plates, we had to flagged down the server for plates. I ordered the "game day burger", my husband had the Yeti burger which comes with frys, The order came out a timely manner BUT the game day burger was delivered wrapped in aluminum foil, the buns were wet from being pre-cooked and sat under some type of heat, the burger itself was cold to the touch, my husband's fry's were cold and we counted them to be exactly 11 in the basket, the burger wasn't the same quality as in the past, definitely NOT an Augus burger, it was some low grade cramp. I told the server of the problem and sent my wet cold burger back without every taking a bite. I asked for the bill and to speak to the manager on duty. Unfortunately, sloppy dirty Carlton was the manager on duty, I was told Mike left the company. Mike who made this place an amazing place to eat and hang out at. Carlton came to our table acting as though he was mad he had to have a conversation with a dissatisfied customer. His entire body language spoke volume of his unprofessional behavior which was to follow. I asked if he was aware of our experience with the food his kitchen sent out to our table to which he said, "yes". I asked what happen and why the food was of such poor quality, his response was, "the server already explained that's how we do it here". Then he said, "so what do you want from me"? I told him I would definitely be doing a review on our experience and would quote his unprofessional behavior. Then I asked him to take my bill along with my cash money so we could pay our bill and leave, he said, "that's NOT my job, your server will do that" and then he walked away. When I say this manager is absolutely "TRASH" and less than! Please look at your cameras if you think I am lying. My question to the owner, Ali, exactly how desperate you guys are to keep this dude on staff let alone as the face of your business! I would not have Carlton in charge of walking my dog. I heard he got promoted from the kitchen to the front, his total appearance and unprofessionalism definitely speak his level worth in this industry. I would love to have a conversation with you to give more detail of our NIGHTMARE EXPERIENCE. Dog and Duck, count your days if you don't get this location in check. The manager, staff and food have gone in the toilet!! I will NEVER go back to this location. A super cool place with all kinds of options for food. The Nashville Hot fries were amazing and a must try. The only hiccup we had was that the entree I ordered (Birdin' Ernie) was supposed to be made with chicken (as listed on the menu) but it came out with fish instead. Not the end of the world, but as someone who doesn't eat fish I was disappointed. They made it right and took it off the bill without question. I could be very descriptive about my under cooked sweet habanero wings or very detailed about colleagues overly salted Philly Cheesesteak. Instead I chose to focus this review on the staff and its non- welcoming tasteless approach. Overall the environment was nice and clean upon what we could see but the food and service was not up to Par. I really dislike writing these kind of reviews especially when it comes to food and customer service.
