    Fried grouper and fries
    Cindy S.

New Dog and Duck restaurant in the Publix shopping center on Hwy 52 near Cypress Gardens. Definitely needed in this area. Pub style food. Great service. Affordable prices. I had the spicy Mahi taco and onion rings. My hubby had fried grouper and fries. My "spicy" mahi taco was not spicy but flavorful. Needed green onions and purple cabbage, maybe shredded carrots just to add more color to the dish. Onion rings were crispy and really good. My husband is not a huge fan of fish, but he really liked his fried grouper which he never had before. French fries were very good, but slightly over salted. Our server was great! Casual pub style restaurant with sports on TVs and outdoor seating/bar area.

Food: 3.8 - good pub food. Chicken nuggets and fried fish were cooked well and not over battered. Generally the menu looked like good pub food. Ambiance: 3.7 - small but nicely decorated. Lots of sports memorabilia and tvs. If you want somewhere to drink beer and have apps, seems like a good place. The 6 seater tables were very cool and unique. Service: the group I was with was between 1 and 3 on the service. the server was nice; however, forgot our friends drinks. They said to just bring water after awhile. The drinks were still on the bill. Also ran out of silverware so we ate with plastic forks. The food did come out hot and all at once. I'm going to chock that up to growing pains since they recently opened. You should try this place and hopefully the service hiccups get sorted.

Visited back in June, but I really love this location! It has very friendly service and I enjoyed my French dip sandwich! Its located in the new moncks corner shopping center and really convenient for drinks. They have indoor and outdoor seating! They were also giving out inflatable ducks with our drinks! Great place to stop by for a family friendly meal during the day!

Dog & Duck food and spirits review | Moncks Corner, Sc 2826 US-52, Moncks Corner, SC 29461 (3.8/5) If you're cruising through Moncks Corner and craving a bite that won't annihilate your wallet, Dog & Duck Food & Spirits might just be your next pit stop. Think of it as that friend who's not perfect, but fun enough that you keep inviting them anyway. Let's start with the good stuff--because there's actually plenty of it. Service? Lightning fast. I've waited longer for my phone to connect to Wi-Fi. Staff? Friendly enough to make you wonder if Southern hospitality is secretly a superpower. Price point? About $15 a head, which in 2025 basically qualifies as a steal. Location? Convenient, especially if you're already in Moncks Corner debating where to eat. Food? Tasty, with enough flavor to earn a few happy nods at the table. Atmosphere? Bright, so at least you can clearly see what you're eating--and who you're talking to. Now, let's talk about the chicken salad. I ordered it. I tried it. I chewed it... and chewed it... and chewed it. It came with more tendons than a high school anatomy class. Not exactly the "melt-in-your-mouth chicken experience" you'd hope for. Let's just say this chicken had commitment issues--it refused to let go. Overall, Dog & Duck delivers a pretty solid experience, especially if you order anything except the chicken salad. With fast service, friendly faces, and a bright vibe that keeps things lively, it lands at 3.8 out of 5 stars. Would I go back? Absolutely--just maybe sticking to something that doesn't require jaw strength training. www.westayedthere.com

Went here on a packed Sunday to watch football, and the service was always on top of it! Great place for football or just hanging out at the bar. Food is excellent. I got the double burger. Bar outside as well.

I live right by this place so I ordered food online, wings, once and picked it up, and it was pretty good. A couple days ago I came and sat at the bar and got a beer and a burger. The yeti burger was honestly amazing. Everything about it was good, right down to having a perfect slice of tomato. Would definitely recommend. The service pretty good. Good atmosphere. They have indoor and outdoor seating with the bar opened up to the outside. The Hans Grouper and pub chips was pretty solid as well

We really enjoy the food and atmosphere here. It's such a great place. Me and my husband got the German Jojo's. They are pretty much potato wedges with cheese and bacon on them but they are delicious. I got the French dip sandwich. It comes on Texas toast and was really good. My husband got the smashburger special and he really enjoyed it. The service was great and our waitress was so nice. Thank you for another great meal.

Super happy to have them finally open! The BBQ chicken nachos were so flavorful and well covered. The Korean tacos were delicious and juicy too but they have Sriracha so please note, they are a little spicy and I loved it. The servers were all so friendly and welcoming. Can't wait to catch the football season at their patio.

Having worked in the restaurant industry, a Sysco logo is a big red flag. They do food service for hospitals, colleges, senior living and assisted living homes, and basic restaurants. They're huge which means their food is in a lot of places so it all tastes the same. Essentially it's a lot of prepared foods that get reheated. Kind of a disappointment. I visit family in the area regularly and had a bit of a break so wanted a sandwich for lunch. I started to go to the new Greek place but didn't want to get caught in traffic so went to the Charleston Sports Pub instead. The menu had a selection of wings, burgers, nachos, salads, tacos, a few sandwiches and chicken fingers. There were some shrimp dishes but I know the shrimp is probably frozen from Sysco. I ordered a wedge salad and a chicken sandwich special to go. The sandwich came with fried, which I didn't eat. Everything tasted fine. Nothing special but it met the requirements of food. I was starving since I hadn't watered and it was late afternoon. Don't think I'd come back here again except maybe to have drinks. There are other restaurants in the area that probably have better food for the price.

Reminiscent of Victorian times in many European cities this side street happens to pass by a little cozy pub named O'lacy's. The outside is unassuming with the aqua blue painted brick façade with wood and green (for the Irish!) accents. Open up the doors and one is hit with decades of ground in beer smell, that's a good thing and elevates the authenticity in my book! Inside the worn wooden floor holds up a weathered bar that runs almost the entirety of the pub while the other side has most of the mismatched sofas, love seats and wooden chairs. The aqua walls have various pub staples like neon lights, beer mirrors and pictures. It's a very comfy atmosphere, laid back with notes of a partially underground pub in Ireland. Be warned now, the website said there would be live music and there wasn't and the bartender admitted no one was scheduled. Moreover, I read somewhere they had food and they do not. I'm just letting everyone know they should call first to ensure whatever website info is confirmed. The one time I stopped by, there was one bartender trying to support the regular patrons as well as an impromptu bachelorette party pop-in. She did the best she could but she was really behind, throw in the fact I had drunk ladies cutting in line for their shots irritated me but I digress. The drinks were a little slow as expected but they were priced fairly. I only stayed one round which was at roughly 7:30 and left to find some live music. I'm not sure why but besides one bar in Summerville, the nightlife is dead. That said O'lacys is a cool place to hang out and unwind after a long day. I'm not sure about the late, late night life as I left but when I was there it was ok. The prices are fair and the drinks are standard but don't expect a huge list of creative cocktails. I'm not sure if I'll be back as I have other priorities but don't let that stop you from stopping by, it's a slower vibe which many can appreciate.

The restaurant is roomy and decorated with both English staples and salutes to local first responders. Unlike its originator they cook their fish to order so there may be a slight wait, but it is very much worth it. When I go, I like to order the Tennet's lager which is smooth and crispy and full of flavor. Instead of chips we tried the Manchester Special which are their famous chips with gravy and cheese. The gravy was rich and savory with plenty of ooey gooey cheese. Perfect on a cold winter's day! We tried the Battered Sausage which had a large smokey sausage fried golden brown. It was ok but I wished the sausage was spicier but that's just me. I have never had a Doner Kebob, but I discovered that it is basically a gyro. Now I went with the standard lamb with onions, lettuce, and tomatoes with a feta spread and tzatziki sauce, but you could also order different sauces and toppings. All in all, a pretty decent gyro with lots of meat. Finally, you can't come here and not try the fish. Nicely battered and cooked to a perfect golden brown this filet really hit the spot.
