I've been to this subway a few of times. Today I stopped by to get a sandwich for my grandson on the way home,. The young lady that made my order was nice and friendly and helpful. Great customer service thats why I like this location best. They have a few drink options beside fountain drinks, a big variety of chips and their cookies seemed to be freshly baked most of the time. The store is always clean, swept with no crumbs on the floor, tables are wiped I don't have to worry about cleaning own table and the bathroom is clean. read more

I was told that you can't modify the protein wrap, which I understood. That's why I asked to "build my own" wrap instead so I could customize it with the ingredients I wanted. But even after that, the employee still told me no and refused to let me add or remove anything. They were very rude about it the whole time. They made me keep ham on it even though I clearly said I didn't want ham, and they wouldn't even add mayo when I asked. I ended up with a sandwich I didn't want at all, and the way they spoke to me made the whole experience even worse. The whole point of coming to Subway is being able to customize your food, and this location completely ignored that. Very disappointing visit, and I won't be returning. read more

Well, my wife tried to order the Italian cold cut sandwich. Turns out that is made with JUST bologna. No other meat?! So she had them add salami (cold cut sandwich). No oil or vinegar in stock. We don't eat Subway much, because it's Subway. I went into the Nipomo location. Me and my family stood there for a few minutes. The man in front of us wearing a gator mask, pulled down below his nose. Chatting with the worker like they were friends, around the same. All of a sudden the worker looked up at me, he asked me to put on a mask. I replied I didn't have a mask and I will go somewhere else. He rudely said have a nice day, sarcastic. I'm 100% vaccinated And believe in 100% safety. If you're sick stay home, we've done it for a long time as a society. Back to the point, if the worker is so concerned that I did not have a mask, why did he not ask his friend to wear his mask properly. Because he can't those gator masks have been proven not to work. But the slight protection of the paper mask he was wearing, as he's making the food is not much better. They can consistently make a shitty sandwich but they cannot be consistent on the mask's mandate policy. Which is not law and not legal and not scientifically proven, the best protection is an N95 mask which was not being worn. Just following the science. #No more shitty sandwich read more

I was going to a store next to this subway and saw an elderly man laying on the ground outside with a gentleman standing over him. When I was done in my store I came out and checked if everything was ok, everything was not. The older man had fallen and hit his head, the guy standing over him wasn't related or a caretaker but instead Eric, an employee of this subway. Eric patiently worked with this elderly man, lifting him to the car with myself and talking to him the entire time while encouraging him to get his head checked after the fall. Eric was patient, kind, selfless, and that elderly man is very lucky Eric is so alert while on shift. Customer service goes beyond the inside of the store and Eric represents an amazing employee and asset at subway that is extremely rare to find. I hope he is recognized, this incident just happened 20 minutes ago. Thank you. Any company would be lucky to have Eric represent them inside and outside of their store. read more

This review has nothing to do with the food whatsoever; however, it has to do with how much of a dick the manager is. My step mom did a random act of kindness to a homeless kid in front of Little Caesars and bought him a drink and a box of pizza. The manager has the audacity to bud in and say that my stepmom shouldn't be supporting the homeless. That the homeless f*ck up his bathrooms and give him bad business. Went in today after a hiatus due to rude employees. Waited behind 2 people, for what seemed like an eternity. My guess was the worker was new, so I was patient. It got to be my turn when the "manager" told her to make to go orders and have him wait. There was nobody behind me. I walked out. I went to this Subway for dinner tonight. The young man, Cooper, who waited on me was really good. My sandwiches were perfect. But more than that, he was kind. A possibly homeless customer with limited means was told his sandwich would be $5 before he ordered it. The sandwich rang up at a higher price. Cooper felt bad as he was the one who misquoted the price. He paid the difference out of his own pocket. I was really I impressed with his kindness and courtesy with this guest. I'll be back! Been a customer for over 7 years at this Nipomo Subway. Once a week I buy two foot long takeout BMT sandwiches,(cold never heated), without fail, on the sale day for that particular variety sandwich. couple weeks ago I paid little over $14 + $1 tip. This last Thursday, March 3, 2022, from a lady worker, ! ordered usual 2 cold foot long sandwiches price including sales tax (receipt shows eat in) for me to take out, takeout was $19.87 (after I left the $1 tip). I said WHAT! She said NO MORE SALE DAY DISCOUNTS! So I said do I get the elderly person discount, I'm 84 yrs old! So she took 10% off one item to give me corrected total of $18.93+$1 tip. Thank you! I have talked to person(s) ringing up at the cash register before about charging me sales tax on unheated takeout orders. As an aside: a couple of years ago I complained to the Sales Tax board about a different sandwich shop charging me sales tax on unheated cold takeout sandwiches. The Sales tax people told me that I have to work this discrepancy out with the sandwich shop myself, they do not get involved on overcharges! By the way Vons Deli next door has wonderful hand made sandwiches! They will get my future business! read more

Very nice, sandwich quality has fallen. The sandwich bread rolls are quite a bit smaller.

So this subway just showed me an award they got after I commented how friendly and efficient they all are when busy. I will go back and take a pic soon but its because they are number one is customer service In california out of all the chains. This Subway IS NOT just like another Mall Subway Sandwich Shop! I eat here often and service and quality of food is GREAT! My favorites are the Hot Pastrami and the Italian. Nipomo is a very small town - the staff that work here are local and they really seem to work well together, and value their customers. A real contrast to other Subway's I have visited. read more

Well we've all been to a Subway and know what they offer. Of course this one has the same menu as the rest but I believe this location is run extremely efficient. What that means to you is your food is super fresh and delicious. I visit Subways often when I'm on a short lunch break in different towns, this one always has an appropriate amount of people working. So even if there's a line you move through pretty quickly, not like some locations where they are understaffed and it takes forever. The staff is always super friendly as well and the owner can often be seen here working away. Not a lot of choices in Nipomo anyway but you can't beat this place for quality vs price. read more

I've been to Subways literally all over the country. They are not all created equal. The Nipomo Subway rocks. The staff is really organized and on top of it. The place is almost always busy. They listen when you ask for more condiments. Bathroom is always clean (always a plus). They really keep the place up well. Hubby and I are regulars and would not go elsewhere for a sandwich in Nipomo. read more

Subway is a big favorite for the kids. We happen to be out in Nipomo which is a little rare and stopped in. The young folks behind the counter were friendly and courteous (sometimes several of us may have a hard time deciding so their patience was appreciated...).
