The restaurant was empty except us. The regular menu is interesting but pricey for a bar and grill. We settled on sharing a plate with two chili cheese dogs and fries. The hot dogs were regular size and the chili was canned but okay. No cheese on the dogs. The crinkle cut fries were excellent and plentiful for the two of us. We were traveling for a youth basketball tournament nearby and the team decided to have lunch here. Felt a bit bad for the staff it was apparent they are not used to having such a crowd all at once. I think it was literally just our 2 bball teams that took up the whole restaurant for a late lunch. I think there was only 1 person working front of house and 1 in the back. The food came out quite slow. I guess good and bad in that we knew they were freshly cooking each order, but it ended up taking over an hour for our food. I gotta say though, the food was quite good and large portions. I had the BBQ chicken sandwich with side salad. It's apparently a new item. It was quite good both the chicken and the salad. My kid had the chicken and shrimp basket. Good ol fashioned fried foods. My wife and other kid had the pesto chicken pasta and the shrimp Alfredo pasta. Also quite yum. And too large for either of them were able to finish. So leftovers for dinner! Overall would def recommend. Just don't bring 2 whole basketball teams with you. read more

What a surprise! We stopped for a late lunch after Saturday adventures and had fabulous sandwiches. Salads were crisp and fresh and they added tomatoes when I asked. Hard to ring bell for service, guy came out quick. Ordered three banana splits and three ice cream cones. Service took while to make the banana splits but they were so good and a good size. Pretty good food I wouldn't say amazing. They definitely have unique options that go with the theme of munchies haha. Like fried Oreos and a fried Smucker pb&J. Both of which were pretty good, super sweet and not fried enough in my opinion. The Dragon noodles were actually pretty yummy, they gave a huuuuggeeee portion of noodles, a little bit of vegetables and protein. But the sauce was good and it was spicy which I loved. Service was chill, and the inside was so spacious it was a little weird how big it was haha. Like it didn't fit the style I guess. Took about 20 minutes to make so I had a local craft beer while I waited. I was the only order in so would expect a longer wait if busy. Cost was about $45, not cheap for a quick meal. Sadly, Munchies is declining. The last 3 times the shrimp on the taco has been way overcooked. And now, they have lost their liquor license. However, they do have ice cream instead. The problem is they let the children of the owner or an employee dip into the ice cream at will, using the same spoon the are eating off, and then expect customers to want a scoop of ice cream. Nope! We pulled in 30 minutes before they closed. Ordered - the noodles with beef 2/5 - fried rice w/chicken 4/5 - BLT 5/5 The noodles were imo too spicy and I like spice. And the beef was really awful. I spit out my piece of beef. The veggies were good though! Fried rice was pretty decent. My 11 year old enjoyed it. Again (imo) the meat was not the freshest. Extensive menu. Interesting choices. Everything was very good. My pesto chicken sandwich was absolutely killer. My husband had the buffalo chicken salad, and while it was simple he said it had a great balance of spice and ranch and the chicken was seasoned really well. My dad had the salmon teriyaki bowl and really enjoyed it. My mom had the BBQ chicken salad and didn't say much but ate the whole thing. The less than perfect rating- they were out of paper menus and the big TV menus didn't have item details, like ot would have been nice to know what comes with each meal, and while yes. I know I can ask, the young man at the counter appeared was less than thrilled to be there, so I wasn't about to rely on him. It also took a VERY long time for our food to come out, like it felt a little excessive long. There was another group that ordered before us and I appreciate the food coming out nice and hot, but it really took a very long time. And finally there isn't a kid's menu...which seems very weird, even the option to have half versions of some of the stuff would have been great. Fortunately my kiddo likes mini corn dogs. This is our second time eating here. I have worked in the food industry for years and I know when you're slow, you do your side work to get ahead of the game so you can get out early or on time. But never and I mean never do you mop the floors with a strong smelling cleaner while still open. That's all I could smell and taste the whole time I was there. It was my birthday and I didn't get to enjoy my food because of the smell. Every bite of my chicken Alfredo tasted like pinesol. Hubby got his quesadilla and was pleased with it. Now that's a GD burger!! I had the East Side Boogie with upgraded chili cheese fries and let me tell you... ...this was too much burger but in all the right ways haha I was stuffed but boy was I happy Again the burger was huge, thick bacon, get extra sauce to make it perfect. Onions were amazing and flavorful and the bun held up til the last bite. Chili cheese fries were out of this world...amazing chili and the cheese and was not only a plethora on top but a hidden cheese skirt awaits you on the bottom Photos don't do it justice, stop thinking, this is your sign, get this place now! I really wanted to like this place, but you guys need to step it up. My shrimp alfredo came out half-cooked -- the shrimp was raw on one side. The "tri-tip panini" wasn't even hot, the meat was cold, and the cheese never melted. That's not a panini, that's just a sandwich thrown together. For $43, the only thing worth eating were the fries and the drinks. That's a tough pill to swallow. And this isn't the first complaint I've heard since you moved up on the Mesa -- unfortunately, I haven't heard a single good review yet. I gave you the chance anyway, and this dinner still missed the mark. So is it the customers, or is it really you? Even though this might be hard to hear, it's something you need to hear -- because I do want you to succeed. Cook the food all the way through, melt the cheese, double-check the basics. Re-evaluate the menu and execution, and you could actually turn this around. But right now, you're losing people. read more

However, I did notice they no longer have iceberg lettuce, they only offer spring mix, which doesn't quite work for me, especially on a sandwich. Pretty bent I haven't tried this place before now because I just dropped by for a late lunch and had hands down the best tacos I've ever had outside of Baja Mexico. Get the shrimp triple taco appetizer, it's loaded with huge plump, fresh, perfectly fried shrimp and taste sweet like the ocean along with a great pickled cabbage and fresh avocado with a habanero mayo dressing. Just the right bit of kick, the creamy sauce envelops the crunch of the fresh shrimp and does a tango on your tongue with the avocado. So good! I paired it with a pineapple cider that was perfectly balanced, crisp and SO refreshing! I'm in the process of selling my home and moving out of California and I'm just sorry I've never tried this place before now. Although this burger cost $15 bucks, it was not a Fifteen Dollar Burger. The meat was hard and dense and I suspect you can buy the patties pre-cooked in bulk at CostCo. There was a thick layer of wilted lettuce that I removed and 1000 Island Dressing that I wished wasn't there. No condiment bottles at the tables. You have to go get the packets yourself, so I'm not sure why they think they deserve to ask for a minimum tip of 18% up front. It looks like they want you to bus your own table when you're done but I didn't. Because I'm a job-creator. The fries were tasty, tho, so there's that. Honestly, this place is begging for easy improvements. The vibe was "bro." And although normally I find places that put up flat screen TVs and blast sports super annoying, this place is screaming for some sports TVs. Because there's nothing else going on in there. Crickets. I say, if you're going to have a place that only caters to men who don't care about their arteries, you should lean into that theme with the decor. First Visit to 805 Munchies: A Disappointing Experience This was my first time visiting 805 Munchies. I had seen their advertisements on my Instagram feed and decided to give them a try on a Sunday morning at 11:30 a.m., just as they opened. The person working at the front counter was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered the Western Burger, Mac-n-Cheese Balls, and the AG Breakfast Burrito (with potatoes, eggs, and soy chorizo) on the recommendation of the staff. We also upgraded to chili cheese fries and got two fountain drinks. When I went to grab straws and utensils, I noticed they hadn't been restocked from the night before. However, the counter attendant was quick to help and got them for us. Unfortunately, that's when our experience began to decline. The burger and Mac-n-Cheese Balls were served first. The burger was quite good, but the fries were unseasoned and dry. The Mac-n-Cheese Balls looked promising with a crispy exterior and a slight cheese pull, but they were disappointingly bland. All I could taste was the breadcrumb crust and plain noodles. A few minutes later, the counter attendant informed me that the cook had mistakenly made my burrito with breakfast sausage instead of soy chorizo and asked if I wanted it as is. I declined and reiterated my order for the soy chorizo burrito, which would take a few more minutes to prepare. By the time the burrito arrived, my companion had already finished their burger. The burrito came sliced in half and wrapped in foil. Right away, I noticed that the potatoes inside were the same dry fries that had come with the burger. After taking a bite, I was extremely disappointed by how flavorless and dry it was. Even adding salsa wouldn't have saved it, and the chili cheese fries did nothing to improve the situation--the chili tasted like it came straight from a can. After a couple of bites, I gave up on the burrito and left feeling thoroughly underwhelmed by the food. I would not recommend this place to anyone. If you're looking for a similar vibe with far better food, try Rancho Nipomo instead. read more

OMGosh! This is a couple minutes from my home and I finally tried it for the first time, recently! Hands down the best Wings I have had in a long time from anywhere! I ordered BBQ wings and it comes with delicious fries! The portion is perfect for a small dinner for 1 or 2 with a salad added or take along to a picnic - I think 8-10 wings - I lost count cuz I was eating them so fast ;) This item is also on their Happy Hour menu (less expensive) along with others signature items - if u love wings you won't be disappointed! It was my first time eating there and now I cannot wait to go back. The prices are very reasonable and low in my opinion for the portion size that you get. The variety of food offered is unique. I could not decide on what to eat so we ordered multiple items. I do not have any complaints with the plates we ordered. If I had to choose a favorite plate, it would be the pesto chicken panini. The Mac and cheese balls were also a great snack. I'm ready to go back and try other items on the menu. The restaurant is very clean and spacious. The wall art gives the restaurant a cool vibe.
