Stop in for a Great Burger many sizes to choose on the menus. I ordered the Queen Burger it was delicious. I also included Fried Zucchini Sticks and French fries. I even purchased a Ball cap for one of my Grandson's. This place is on the main street across from the old Royal Theater. Off Historic Hwy 1 Guadalupe,CA

The new King Falafel in Guadalupe California has great food and service! I have eaten there twice this week and have nothing but five star feedback for this new owner and his business. Today I came in and purchased their pastrami sandwich which is outstanding! The owner offered jalapeños as an extra for free along with giving me a complementary sample of their new dessert items. Fast and friendly service along with excellent food highly recommend the new king falafel try it for yourself.

Great Mom & Pop, hole-in-a-wall, in a hole-in-a-wall, small town Guadalupe, CA right on Hwy #1....in an area busting with Natural Wonders & History that very few know about, nor appreciate! Highlights: 1) Carnivores: Get the Big King Burger loaded with cheese bacon etc... plus fries & you will be happy camper. 2) Vegetarians: Get the Falafel & please your Vege other. (My wife ate the whole thing) 3) For the Frugal: Bargain basement prices, in a clean, almost clinical looking place. 4) History/ Nature buff: The view of the old closed down theater & the little shrine of Guadalupe is cool. Take a drive around town & you can still see some of the old history of this town which used to a Mecca for Japanese Farmers, Laborers, & Buddhists. A) The towering antique town clock down the street is around 100 years old & had to be shipped here. It was placed & bought by the old Jewelry store. B) There is a Buddhist temple on one of the side streets...they do a yearly festival in Santa Maria. The reverend Nakano holds services here, SLO, & I think elsewhere. C) The tiny outdoor shrine next to the now defunct theater, has an image of Mary, and is surround by flowers. D) This town & the nearby Dunes Park was the temporary home to the production of the old silent movie the "Ten Commandments". It had one of the biggest even sets ever made. The set complete with dozens of plaster Sphinxes sleep under the Dunes. There is now a struggling Archeology dig for these relics. I think they got one Sphinx out. Very cool. For further info. use Google to find the website dedicated to the Japanese & for lots of info on the old Hollywood production. Rather than film in Egypt, they used the Guadalupe Dunes (which are a amazing beautiful must see!). E) The nearby Guadalupe Dunes Park is a must see & will amaze you with panoramic vistas that blow away the over-touristed nearby beaches. Just do not stray, nor bother the birds, nor their eggs....the fines can range from a few hundred to 5-50,000 dollars! 5) Shopping Buff: The nearby California Granite Shop has plenty of slabs & remnants to fabricate for you. To sum things up, King Falafel is a great fast food choice in this tiny town as you explore the area's history & nature.

The workers don't wear mask. The cashier does but the cooks don't. I was ordering food and I looked towards the back and I couldn't believe my eyes. The cooks weren't wearing a mask. I heard one of them cough and I got worried. They should be taking precautions during the pandemic to keep us and them safe. Also they removed the faucet. During a pandemic!!!

Burgers are 1/4 patties fresh made burgers always to order how you like!

The hamburgers are tasty but the fries are bland. Need to make them more spicy or maybe even add a little more salt.

As soon as I walked in, I was mesmerized by the refrigerator row of wine/champaign bottles. The bar area is well decorated with a dark background and small lights to emulate a dark starry night. Their service was not good in our L.A.-opinionated minds. Yes, we were greeted and seated immediately upon arrival. We waited maybe 20 minutes before someone eventually came to take our order. Mind you, the whole time we were ready to order, the waitress who seated us was walking back and forth, setting up tables around us. She clearly saw that we were ready to order but didn't even offer to take our orders or get another staff who could. This is a place to come to if you are NOT in a hurry and are here to simply chill and take life SLOCAL style. The food here seems like a fusion between American and Mediterranean style. 1. Octopus Appetizer (4.5/5) Large octopus tentacles served with a combination of vegetables (broccoli, cauliflower, roasted peppers) toasted with garlic and olive oil. The vegetables and octopus were all cooked very well. The octopus was fresh and melts in your mouth. 2. Grilled Asparagus (2.5/5) Large asparagus that's seasoned lightly, but it was not cooked correctly. It had a very stringy-fibery texture. 3. Philly cheesesteak (2/5) The hoagie bread was grocery store quality at best. We were sad that it wasn't even toasted or warmed up, so ended up ditching the bread/bun and just ate the inside. The cheese was at least nicely melted. The onion and bell peppers were fresh, but the steak was "meh." Definitely not quality beef. The beef itself was also not seasoned enough, so was bland and dry. 4. Onion rings (5/5) Fried to perfection. Loved that the onions were fresh and it was easy to pull apart with each bite. The aioli sauce that its served with is plain and bland though. 5. Crab cake (4/5): Crabby patty anyone? All I tasted was fried Panko batter. Wish the patty itself had more flavor and spice. The garlic aioli sauce that came with it though was good. 6. Dr. Marquis Salad (4/5): Fresh spring mix lettuce topped with ground beef and crispy bacon, tomato, sliced avocado and tossed with their house-made olive oil, salt and pepper dressing. Overall, it was a hearty salad with plentiful flavor. It was just a bit weird to have ground beef in salad, but I guess that's what makes this salad dish unique
