I like this Wendy's. The workers are a bit weird, but they all have had really good hearts, so it's more of a personal preference if you can look past the way they talk to customers. I've been at this Wendy's in Nipomo a few times now. It's located right off Hwy 101 at the Tefft Ave exit -- really easy to get to by car. A few times, I've arrived at the drive-thru just minutes before closing and the young lady (thin with dark hair) at the window has been so incredibly NICE! She's very personable and I can see she really cares about customers. I don't feel rushed to order and she doesn't display an ounce of annoyance if I can't decide what to order. They stay open until midnight during the week and until 1 am on weekends. Having raved about this young lady employee, I will add that this last Dave's single burger had meat that was smashed and very thin. That was disappointing. Maybe corporate needs to hear about it. Nevertheless, I appreciate their late hours and the wonderful employee at the drive-thru window. read more

My teenage son ordered spicy chicken nuggets on Thursday of last week. Based on all the other one star reviews, I'm not surprised he got food poisoning from what he now believes were undercooked nuggets. His body has been violently rejecting all the contents of his stomach for the last four days. Worst food experience taste I have experienced . Burger meat was extremely salty. ( I had taken out the bacon for my wife) Baconator does not even come close to menu or advertised picture , Where's the Bacon? Drive thru closes every night at Midnight! Food was pretty good and even the fries were fresh :) Regarding the service, This is the first place to ever check for the Free Frosty Keychain before giving the mini frosty away. And yeah they didn't take as long as the Santa María Wendys. If I had the time to eat in, I would definitely choose the outdoor/patio seating and enjoy the view of the hills & coastal mountains!! I guess I got lucky and didn't get the same service as the other reviewers. 1st time i went here my lil brother had a coupon for a free frosty so we went & his frost smelt like grass i went back in & told them to take it i dont want another one because if that was bad it was probably there machine the managers are willing to give u something free in replacement I went back again tonight at 11pm craving a rootbeer float & the saucy nuggets sounded bomb so i got that as i drove up to the window an employee said "i will kill myself first" which i thought was pretty crazy to say. Then they ask me again what flavor i wanted i said spicy buffalo, they gave me the bag & i left then realized they gave me a different flavor so i went back & the line had 6 cars & 3 cars waiting out front i get a busy shift but they should look out for there employees and hire more staff there was no reason only a manager & one employee should've been working alone. I have never ever wrote a review or felt compelled to do so. However last night was the worst most stupid experience I ever had in fast food service history! For me anyway. First of all there was a bunch of little punk thugs working behind the counter they made me repeat my order 5 times you think they would of got it right but no! I pull up to pay for my food and these pumps were laughing at me and I'm not sure why I got 2 meals one being a kid meal they forgot my chicken nuggets my cheese was rock hard on top of my chilli beans and they didn't put any sauce I drove 30 minutes to get this shit food and these assholes didn't put any sauce who eats medium fries and nuggets with no sauce. And the bun was crusty and moldy on my jr bacon cheeseburger. I am done with the Nipomo Wendy's, as I am done with most all Nipomo fast food places. As these locations just make their items weak and don't care. I hadn't been to the Wendy's in a couple months. I order a baconator and I get home and the top patty is burnt to a crisp bottom patty is raw. I take it back and everyone was very apologetic to me, which was nice. I get home and it isn't burnt but I begin to notice my Baconator has been made with value pattys? Anyhow, I went to the SM location bc I wanted to know if all Wendy's are like this? No, SM gave me the giant Baconator like Nipomo used to. I also spoke with others and they said Nipomo Wendy's has changed and it's more like a smash burger now. Like what? This is a huge corporation how is this ok? So whatever owner of this location or whatever must be specifically telling the employees to give less meat to save money? I also noticed there is a new manager, but I don't see why she would do that? So something fishy is going on at this place and hopefully an employee can speak up. I'm sure it must be terrible to work there, customers must always diss you, as this is no longer Wendy's, more of a White Castle slider burger. I had the nacho fries for about $4.50. It was a big portion with lots of cheese, but half the fries were cold and the other half barely warm. They definitely were not fresh. The cheese was barely warm on the bottom and a handful of cold cheese from the fridge was thrown on top. They were good because I was driving by at midnight and nothing else was open for food in this area. The service was super fast but not friendly. It's always awkward when the server is silent, taking your money or giving you your food. So I end up thanking them for having bought myself some fries and supported the restaurant and their job. It's a simple thing but it makes a difference to say thank you when taking a person's money. The ambiance is new and clean. read more

When the order arrived I got a complete different order and someone else name on the receipt. Called the restaurant they told me my order was still in there system that the doordash grabbed the wrong bag. I received 4 chicken sandwiches that where cold and thrown in the bag a jr burger that was not wrapped up and 2 melted frostys and fries that looked half eaten. We stopped here for breakfast. Our order was wrong, I was given sausage instead of the bacon. My husband's maple chicken biscuit was so tough, it was inedible. Sad. The sandwiches were cold. When I brought this to the attention of the staff, I was told the oven wasn't working properly. I asked for my breakfast sandwich to be rewarmed. The worker put the sandwich in oven, then walked away to back of store, came back, took my sandwich out and handed it to another employee to hand to me.
