Ordered the Del Dorado Epic Burrito Meal and a 4 piece order of cheesecake bites. The burrito was a total mess, good flavor but just sloppy and soggy mush. I don't actually fault the restaurant for this, I just think this is a bad Del Taco creation. Luckily the cheesecake bites never fail to please. Stopped by for dinner on the way home back north. Typically we order at the drive through, but decided to dine in tonight. The cashier was very friendly, patient, and helpful. The ladies behind the counter all seemed very efficient. I appreciate that we can use rewards and offers in-person (via QR code from the app)... instead of only ordering in the app like many companies seem to require. I had an early 830 doctor appointment in Santa Maria so I knocked that out and then headed over to my favorite restaurant, Del Taco ! I ordered 2 crunchy tacos and 2 burritos, saving one burrito for the afternoon. The meat sauce they use is heaven! The tacos were stuffed full and so. much grated cheddar cheese. I will always kiss the real Del Tacos served in the original Barstow location with a huge half slice of tomato, but these are great and have chopped tomatoes . The service was quick. You now must request the sauce packets you need but I'm sure there's less waste. Fantastic! Highly recommended. I don't like the other older location in Santa Marla. read more

Is it crazy for me to be excited to go to A fast food restaurant? There are no Del Tacos in Connecticut and I had it for the 1st time when looking for cheap eats in Vegas the other year. I hadn't encountered another one until now. It was Thursday and they had a special 3 grilled chicken tacos for &2.99!! Can't beat the price. There not huge so 3 worked out well. They had a good selection including fish tacos, beef and fried chicken tacos as well as quesadilla and burritos. My son liked his crunchy beef tacos. My husbands meal came with crinkle cut fries which were better than all the fast food burger places. You can eat inside and the soda machine is open for free refills which seems to be hard to find these days. read more

My family and I were in drive through and ordered food for four. One of the items I ordered were two crunchy tacos with meat and cheese only for my 4 year old daughter. I had to repeat myself three times to get her order right. After getting home I opened my daughters tacos to find them smashed with not even a spoonful of meat and no cheese in them! My daughter cried and refused to eat anything else because all she wanted were a couple simple tacos and because the person couldn't understand what I was ordering and gave me attitude after I had to repeat myself three times, this is the food they served my 4-year old!!' It's been awhile since I have had Del Taco and it was a great to come back and try out their new crispy chicken tacos. The tacos were delicious and also the crinkle cut fries , the ranch is delicious not a lot of fast food places have good ranch looks like they make theirs here. Which is a plus. Food is terrible even for fast food tacos, strawberry lemonade was watered down and takes very artificial. My carne asada burrito had mostly chunks of gristle that were dry and inedible. Not to mention the screwed up my order even though they repeated it to me, forgetting the 2 items that they actually make well, haven't been here for 3 months but got a craving for the classics and tried a few new things out... which sucked. I really hate giving such low reviews, especially because the food is always fresh and tasty. But the consistency of the service has been going downhill so quickly I just can't stand it anymore. The wait times in the drive thru is beyond ridiculous. At times you're waiting 20-30 minutes with only a few cars in front of you. The other day I got in the drive thru with only 2 cars ahead of me. I then proceeded to wait in the same spot for 20 minutes while the man at the drive through window was handed 4 bags full of food. I then wait another 20 minutes while he was handed 2 trays of drinks and another 3 bags full of food before finally moving along. While I was waiting, 4-5 cars got in line and left. I would have liked to leave, but the 2 cars behind me stayed put so I was stuck. The lady in front of me finally moved up and paid, got her food and 5 minutes later I was finally up to the window. No apology, so I asked if this was some sort of a joke. The kid told me he had given me a 10% discount. I told him that didn't matter, especially considering my total was $2.15. I had ordered an iced tea and a burrito. I then asked him why he hadn't asked the man with the large order to pull out of line because so many people were waiting and had left the drive thru. He stumbled on some words and had no response. Now, I do not know the policy of Del Taco, but most drive thru's have the car park if they have a large order and the food is brought out to them so the drive thru line can keep moving. I mean, don't most people go through the drive thru because they're in a hurry and don't have a lot of time? This is not the first time I have had to wait in the drive thru more than 20 minutes but this is definitely the longest I have been there, especially with only 2 cars in front of me, 40 minutes is just unacceptable. I could have gone to a nice restaurant, ordered off a menu and still had the food faster than this "fast food" place. Some people only have a certain amount of time on lunch breaks etc., and this is just unacceptable to expect anyone to deal with that. Oh but thanks for the 3 cents off. Love Del Taco! This location was around the corner from a place I use to work and it was a convenient lunch location. It's cheap, tasty and bad for you! :) I love the Macho Tacos!!! I think it's much better than it's rival, nationwide change, Taco Bell. I always choose Del Taco over Taco Bell. They also have a great chocolate shake. Service is quick and friendly. It's usually quiet in there, so it's a good place to hang out and read/work while eating. read more

The staff is extremely rude. Not trained in proper customer service. Came in at 5:30 pm 12/30 . Not one customer in the store. Staff was being loud, rude, telling each other to shut up. Del Taco has the best fries when they're fresh. I've noticed that some restaurants re-dip the cold fries back in the oil; therefore, it makes them hot when you order them, but they get really hard once you've driven away and start to dig in. I haven't had this problem at this particular DT but noticed it at more than one location. read more

Best shakes I have had in a long time. The strawberry shake comes covered in whip cream and strawberries. They blend real strawberries in it too . Oh and the Churros are bomb. Burritos are good priced and they have a great $1 menu. read more
