The place is very cozy inside which is order at the counter with a few finished tree trunk cut table seating and seating along the front window and a collection of antiques & toys in the store. I stopped by Dixie's for lunch takeout. I got a Hot Dog with Meat Sauce, Mustard & Onions ($3.50 plus tax) and a Large Mac & Cheese ($6.99 plus tax). The food was ready to go in under 10 minutes. The mac & cheese was a dense mix of soft elbows and a semi rich cheese blend. The firm hot dog was loaded with seasoned ground beef, mustard & onions on a standard hot dog roll, very similar to the Michigans I've enjoyed in the North Country (NY). Dixie's Deli was a good call for lunch. I will have to stop by again when I'm traveling through the Mohawk Valley.
