I've been wanting to try this spot since I heard about it and finally had lunch there yesterday. I got the chicken shawarma. It comes wrapped in a tortilla and was filled with flavorful chicken, a small amount of fries, pickles, pickled onions, and pickled cabbage. There's also a mildly spicy sauce and I asked for some white sauce on mine as well. I thought the person was great for the price and I enjoyed all the flavors. There was a constant flow of people stopping in. Service was pleasant and there were tables to eat inside. I want to try the falafel so I'll be back soon!

Delicious and healthy food. A great addition to Schenectady County and the village of Scotia. I had a wonderful time here.

Every time I walk in, it's consistency, quality, and flavor that actually means something. The Mediterranean menu doesn't just taste good -- it transports you. It makes you feel like you're in another country, another culture, another experience. Everything is fresh. Everything is authentic. Everything is seasoned with intention, not just salt. It's not just eating -- it's a vibe, it's a journey, it's culture on a plate. You can taste the care, the tradition, and the respect for the food in every bite. That's rare, and that's why it stands out.

My daughter and I had lunch here on a Saturday. There are a wide variety of choices and vegetarians can do very well here as can vegans. We ordered Baba Galoush and Pita as an appetizer. The pita was fresh and warm! The eggplant was delicately flavored, smooth, and exceptional. I could eat it everyday. We ordered two bowls: One was Lamb Kabob One was Chicken There are a wide variety of choices to top your bowl and several different sauces. I had the lamb, and it was outstanding. It was flavorful from being marinated and incredibly tender! Best ever! I had brown rice and many toppings including a grape leave, olives, chick peas, chopped tomatoes/ red onion, hummus, picked cabbage, feta, and cucumbers. Delicious! It was drizzled with my choice of the signature white sauce. My daughter raved about the Chicken Bowl. She ordered a slice of the Chocolate Dubai Cake to bring home. Light fills the restaurant in the daytime. The decor very attractive and uncluttered. The restaurant has a large dining area with regular and high top tables plus barrel back chairs in a sitting area. It is very comfortable and spacious. And spotless. The food was delicious. The staff was attentive and helpful. The owner came to our table to ask if we enjoyed the food. Bravo! We highly recommend Zaffron Kitchen, and we will return soon. Offers catering! Outside seating in nice weather.

The bar has a smaller menu than the dining room, but still has plenty of options. I highly recommend taking advantage of the happy hour deals. The restaurant is located in a sprawling but cozy historic building with many different rooms, and a music club upstairs. In addition to delicious pasta and other Italian dishes, they feature their own beers, which are fantastic. I really enjoyed the arancini as well as the corn fritters for appetizers, and the cavatelli with pesto and shrimp scampi for entrees. The complimentary freshly baked bread is soft and delicious. Don't miss out on a great Italian meal and craft beer at Stella Pasta Bar!

On both nights, I arrived a bit early to grab a drink and some food at the downstairs bar before heading upstairs for the show. The bar area was busy but not packed, and I was able to find a seat at the bar without too much trouble. The first night, I ordered a drink and the arancini. The food and drink were excellent, but service was understandably slow. The bartender was juggling a lot--handling orders for the bar, indoor dining room, and outdoor patio--so it took about 15 minutes to get my check. Upstairs, I shared the crab cakes, which I didn't manage to photograph, but they were perfectly crisp with a subtle kick. The bartender and server upstairs were both great--friendly, fast, and managing a full room with ease. On the second night, I again started downstairs nearly an hour before the doors opened upstairs. This time, it took about 30 minutes to get a drink. Given how packed it was and that the same bartender was working solo again, I decided to close out early and wait to order food upstairs. Upstairs, I ordered the gnocchi, and the service was smooth and prompt despite another full house. I'd definitely come back to explore more of the menu--just maybe not on a show night, when the staff is stretched between two levels.
