I was surprised to find a whole case of homemade cupcakes. She said they use real butter and I had to get one. The chocolate chip was delicious with a tender crumb and nice chocolate flavor. Can't wait to try more when I need dessert for a party.

There are some tables, and the dining room room was well decorated and accommodating. The cheese pizza and particular was spot on. I had to go and get a second slice of it. The buffalo chicken pizza was also very good. The cheesecake was OK. It was advertised by the sign as cheesecake factory. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you when it's warmed. They take cards and cash and tipping is optional, but definitely recommended to take care of the counter staff.

I got a regular sub as opposed to a half sub but, I probably should have gotten a half sub because I ate the whole thing. It was so good. The roll was so fresh. They do not skimp on anything. Lots of turkey, nice slices of Swiss cheese, fresh tomatoes and shredded lettuce and white onion. Perfect amount of mayonnaise. Delicious. I have never been inside here. I'm sad to say I have never eaten inside this restaurant. I have always gotten delivery. It is super cute inside. Lots of people there enjoying their lunch. I don't think it's table service though I think you order your food and then you sit at the table. I'm not sure. I've never been there to eat but now I have to go. Their food is always good!

We called in our order and it was ready for pickup within 20 minutes. Add another 5 or so to get home, and then we dug in. I will cut to the chase... it was a fantastic pizza! Upon opening the box, it smelled like a Mexican restaurant which I suppose we wanted it to be like. The crust was supreme and airy and chewy and crispy and everything a pizza crust should be. It would have been wonderful to eat by itself as bread sticks. There was lots of sliced chicken (uniform in size so probably frozen) which was moist and coated in a brown seasoning. Just what the flavor was I could not say, as I am not well versed in Mexican spices, but it was deep and enjoyable. If there was a "sauce" on the pizza I didn't notice, but it had lots of cheese that tasted of mozz. and cheddar. Copious amounts of colorful peppers, maybe tomatoes (I don't remember anymore and the evidence is gone) and onions on only half (not my half... thank you!) finished it off. It was really a knife and fork pizza. I really can't judge them on the standard of an Italian pizza with red sauce and cheese, as this was something else. It was like a Mexican casserole exploded onto an awesome pizza crust. When I ordered it I wasn't sure if I would like it, but I discovered I loved it. It probably wasn't as tasty as a real fajita, and it was probably as much Mexican as I am, but would I order it again? Si Senor!

The only "con" i could think of is that they use crumbled sausage when sliced/strip sausage is certainly better. The people there were cool too.

The onion rings were crispy and enjoyable. I thought the cheese sauce on the steak and cheese could have been more evenly distributed throughout the sub, especially given the layer that was already melted on top. All in all, it was a reasonable price for the amount of food and not a bad meal.

Food was decent.... seems to be similar upstate NY style pizza where the bread is too thick for me,…read morebut this bread is far less dry than all those others I couldn't stand. But the one thing about pizza up here is that people do not put nearly enough sauce on the pizza for my taste if the bread is this thick. Now, if I can order this with extra sauce, then this would be very good for me. I realized this when I had the container of sauce for the garlic knots (which I did love, BTW) and dipped the pizza into that. That sauce was less watery than the sauce on the pizza (maybe due to the cheese?) but dipping the slice into that made it a lot better, IMO.

We got two slices: their seasonal corn pizza with fresh corn from the Troy Farmers Market and a housemade hot sauce and a Sungold Vodka Roni slice, which had vodka sauce, pepperoni and fresh basil. Both slices were about $5.50 each. They were so good! The corn slice was so different than anything I've had before. It was so fresh tasting and I loved the heat from the hot sauce. The vodka slice was delicious too. The char on the bottom reminded my fiance of New Haven pizza. You can order slices or a whole pie. They have a small section with counter seating inside and a few tables outside too. Definitely recommend Pizzeria Mari!

Given that, I ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was very good. To explain, the crust was thin, crispy, and definitely tasted homemade. In addition, the sauce was vibrant and flavorful. On a similar note, the cheese was fresh with just the right amount of grease. However, my only problem with the pizza was the pepperoni. To make it clear, they used the cupped pepperoni which was way too salty. That said, it was still an excellent pizza. In brief, Pizzeria Mari offers tasty and fresh pizza that is one of the best pizza places in the Capital Region.
