First time here overall not bad. Food/Drink: Pizza by the slice! Pretty good New York style pizza. Regular amount of options and combos. Full Italian style menu, appetizers, entrees, pizza, soups, salads, and desserts! Mixed in some Spanish/Mexican items too. Pizza: Needed more crunch not too much, left me wanting more of a bite. Very flavorful, super oily though, the cheeses is the culprit. Sauce was good not too sweet could have used a little more garlic but hey is it ever enough? Dinning Area: Pretty large, small, area. Benches, large counter. Limited of seating! Prices: Relatively cheap. Parking: Plenty of space, shared strip mall type stand alone lot. Bathrooms: Bathrooms were clean and regular size. Atmosphere: During the weekday lunch rush, it was a windy bitter cold day so this would be unfair. It was empty. Staff/Attendants: Staff overall was young, and unsociable. I stopped in at Giovanni's Pizza for a quick lunch, which is located across the road from Scotia-Glenville High School. This casual pizzeria offers NY style pizza (14"-16"-18"), Sicilian pizza (12 cut & 24 cut), calzones, hot & cold subs, salads, appetizers, and pasta dinners. Pizza slices are also available. The prices are pretty fair (in 04/2011), most individual items under $10 including a 14" cheese pizza ($8.75), large subs ($6.50-$7.75), and pasta dinners with garlic bread ($5.50-$9.75). For lunch, I ordered a 2 good sized slices of the Chicken Wing Pizza ($1.75 plus tax each), which looked pretty appetizing in the small display case on the counter. The pizza slices were very good and not greasy, unlike the other pizza place located just yards away. The thin crust was very good, which was light crisp outside and soft inside, not too thick on the edge. The pizza had the right amount of sauce (slightly salty) and plenty of melted cheese and breaded mild chicken. One slice of chicken wing pizza was enough for lunch, so I saved the other slice for a midnight snack back at my shack. Definitely very good pizza in the Scotia-Glenville area. They make a really nice pizza. The way I like it, at least. I thought they were a little pricey, though. I got a 12 cut pizza and it was 17 dollars. Just cheese. And when It came in, it didn't seem any larger than your average pizza. The slices were just cut thinner. I'll be getting an 8 cut next to compare. Part of me wonders if I just got an 8 cut pizza with more cuts in it. Either way, they made me a really solid pizza I was very happy with. And they delivered quick. Try them out! read more

Stopped in here yesterday afternoon to give this place a shot, and we will 100% not be back ever. I walked in to a place without any customers. The phone rang and the girl working behind the counter answered the phone, took an order, and then walked off to prepare whatever. Phone rang, came back, answered it, and then finally after *that* call asked for our order. I ordered a few slices of pizza and specifically said we would take them cold. She rang me up, I paid, and then she walked off and stood there and was checking her phone. I asked if I could get the pizza I paid for. Looking completely confused and aloof, she told me that another employee would get it. That employee came to grab the pizza to put it in the oven, to which I said we wanted to take it as is. He then said, "she'll box it up," and she decided to answer the phones again. Finally got the pizza and it took so long that we forgot to get the garlic knots we paid for. The person who took the order: I've never experienced something like that in my life when picking up food. It's almost like she wasn't even there. Yikes. To add, the pizza sucked. Called this evening to make a large order, at least $100, I asked for a large Antipasti but to please hold the cheese as someone has an allergy. I was told that the meat and cheese were already ore made, I asked could they just make a special order and make fresh meat roll ups without cheese and they insisted they were premade. I owned a restaurant for 8 years and unless it is an unreasonable request we accommodated our patrons without a never may care attitude. I ordered from Demarco's Pizza in Mohawk Avenue. I'll never support a cocky owner nor a business who doesn't at least try to please a customer. read more

To make it long, the pizza arrived at our hotel, the cheese is already congealed and it's cold, the sauce is sweet and looks like they dumped the entire thing of oregano on the sauce.. though if you go to Giovanni's , get the garlic parmesan wings. read more

It's been a while since I had eaten here, and tonight's experience guaranteed that I won't be back. I showed the kids the online menu and told them to pick something. They picked a meat lovers stromboli listed at $16. When I ordered it, the girl said $20 on the phone, but I thought it was just a mistake and I would work it out when I got there. When we got there I asked why it was that much and showed her their website where it says $16 she said that's too bad, and I can cancel my order and leave it if I wanted to. Really?!? That's the response to being shown your advertised menu prices are different from what you're charging?!? If I wasn't on the way somewhere with 2 hungry kids I definitely would have left it. We also got 2 empinadas. Big mistake they we're greasy and flavorless. This review gained a star because the stromboli actually was pretty good, but definitely not worth the $28 that I paid. If you like bad food and even worse customer service, then this is the place for you. Scotia is limited as far places to eat. This place is usually fast, the food has been alright but nothing spectacular. We called and ordered tonight. A white pizza with chicken and bacon, no ranch...pretty simple. We get the pizza and it has tomato sauce all over it, which I am allergic too. I call and the rude girl tells me, Well I know what you ordered and it wasn't that so we aren't doing anything about it. This is the third time that our food was screwed up. The other times were minor things so we didn't really worry about it. This same girl also told me 3 times last time that my card was declined, which I knew it wasn't and after giving me her nasty ass attitude said "oops, I messed up the numbers." This is not how you keep business. After the reopen the quality has gone way down and the customer service is non existent. My wife owns a local restaurant and we are appalled at this. We will never be back and will absolutely make sure we let our family, friends and business acquaintances well aware of this. Don't waste your money. read more

We get pizza here every Friday for lunch. Very consistent quality and taste. Not much on atmosphere but they make up for it with the food.

Fast service and best pizza in Scotia/Glenville area! Have never tried the wings but great subs and sandwiches. They also sell really good homemade Italian and garlic bread. Prices are average for a private pizzeria but you are definitely paying for quality. read more

While their food is good, the service is horrible... I'm pregnant and asked them to heat up the meat in an antipasta so I could eat it, they said they couldn't do it... Ordered a large sausage parm and a large chicken parm for me and my girlfriend and needless to say i was quite disappointed. The chicken parm was mostly bread and had a fatty piece of chicken in it which my girlfriend spit out. The sausage parm also consisted mostly of bread and appeared to only have 1 sausage link between the 2 halves. If this was a small then I wouldn't have minded, however, since it was a large I expected a bigger portion. Being that this was my first time and was recommended to the me by a co-worker I was looking forward to this but alas I am still hungry. Not going back. read more
