Good Eats Deli is located in a Northridge Plaza with Planet Fitness, Raley's, and a few other businesses. There was plenty of parking and I was able to grab a spot near the business. They had one little table outside and a few small tables inside so you could enjoy your food right away. The team greeted me right away and I let them know it was my first time in. I ended up ordering the Salami Supreme ($13.99) that comes with your choice of bread, Genoa salami, turkey, ham, provolone, lettuce, tomato, and your choice of spread- I opted for Dutch Crunch and the pesto mayo for my choices. The sandwich also comes with a side salad or macaroni salad and a small cookie. I also ordered the Lamb Gyro Wrap ($14.39) with lamb gyro meat, diced cucumber, tomato salad, lettuce and housemade tzatziki sauce. This also comes with a side and small cookie. The sandwiches came out quickly and were a good size and value with the side and cookie for the price. The ingredients were fresh and the house sauces definitely elevated the experience. I hadn't had a gyro in a while so I claimed the wrap as my own and it didn't make it home. I also got to try the Salami Supreme and it was delicious with the pesto mayo on it. They have a lot of sandwich options on the menu and I'll definitely be back to try more.

I got the Italian sub, and it was delicious. Fresh ingredients, generous portions, and a really satisfying sandwich. Sometimes you don't need anything fancy, just a great sub made right. It definitely gets busy around lunchtime, and between the line and people filling the tables, you can tell this place has its regulars. No dino-sized dining room here, but the sandwiches definitely make up for it! Rex Tip: If you're coming during the lunch rush, expect a line and plan to take your sandwich to go if you can't get a table. Seating fills up quickly, so getting there before the lunch crowd is your best bet. 5 ROARS from Focusaurus Rex

So anyway I really enjoy a delicious pastrami sandwich. And the ratings for Rim's Hot Pastrami caught my tastes buds. I am in agreement with the ratings. Very delicious Hot Pastrami Sandwich from the roll, to the pastrami, to the fresh veggies to the sauce...it all came together in a very tasty bite all the way through the very last bite. I also tried their macaroni salad it was okay. But one needs to understand my Mama made a very delicious macaroni salad...so the bar is set very high when I measure out other folks macaroni salad. The customer service was kind and friendly. I was served with a smile. I believe you'll enjoy your meal when you pop into Rim's Deli. Now I'm gonna go try an old cafe in Old Town Fair Oaks for chocolate chip cookies.

The day we went, we were looking for sandwiches to eat. Seeing the active smoker outside, I was pleasantly surprised to see that it was BBQ Day! We ordered Georgia Peach Sweet Tea, Blackberry Mango Iced Tea, Cherry Cashew Coleslaw, Alabama Style Potato Salad, cornbread, 1/2 lb brisket and 1/2 lb pulled beef shoulder. The drinks were refreshing, the sides were so good I ordered more to go, and the meats were very tender & juicy. There was also a side of complimentary pickles that came with the meats that were quite tasty! My only criticism was the cornbread, hubby liked it but I thought it was too dry. Looking at the containers, it doesn't look like a lot of meat but we did have some leftovers. I see that their menu varies so I need to check them out soon and try their other BBQ offerings. Find them in a trailer in front of Home Depot. There's picnic tables available for dining.

The restaurant sign is hard to miss, and they have a good amount of parking available. The inside is decked out in old memorabilia, posters, and racing signage and it has an old school feel. You can order to-go, like I did, at the counter or get a table and enjoy a seated experience. The people working here are friendly and when I let them know it was my first time they were happy to answer questions. I ended up ordering the Pepper Steak sandwich, the Italian Cold Cuts sandwich, a pepperoni pizza, and a side of mac salad. The pizza is a simple one, but had plenty of cheese and is perfect if you're craving it. The medium size they offer is perfect for sharing and could easily feed 2-3 people on its own. The pepper steak sandwich is one of the items they're known for and after taking a couple bites I could see why. The mixture of cooked meat, onion, and peppers along with the fresh bread, tomatoes and seasoning is so flavorful. The sauce soaks into the bread to make each bite delicious. The Italian Cold Cut was very unique. I had heard it's a favorite, but I didn't expect something as out of the ordinary. There's laters of meat and cheese on the bread l, and then there is a sweet pickle relish (like you'd put on a hotdog) and then plenty of chopped tomato and onion and sub sauce. The sweetness of the relish through me off, but works with the sandwich. Something interesting about both sandwiches is that they didn't have sandwich toppings like lettuce that wouldn't rewarm well. The chopped tomatoes and onion are great cold, but if you decide to reheat your sandwich they're still great. I don't know if this was the plan but it worked out well. The portion sizes on everything were also fair for the price, and the food was filling. I'm excited to visit again to explore more of the menu, including their meatball sub, pastrami, and cannoli.

Beyond the stuck in 1982 nostalgic aesthetic, the shop turns out serious, hearty subs piled high with savory meats, melted cheeses, and classic fixings on soft, sturdy rolls. It's a wonderfully unpretentious neighborhood throwback that nails the comfort and generous portions of an old-school sub counter. I had the Chicken Parm and it was probably the best I've had in Sac. The Staff was nice, but this place needs a deep cleaning and a little TLC to stay relevant.

Immaculate tasting food This is NO JOKE, hands down, one of the best tasting Mexican foods I've had around this area. A lot more expensive than something comparable Dos Coyotes or Chipotle 5 fountain sodas were $4+ 6 There were no Latinos working there which I find odd for a Mexican restaurant Because the place was not very clean, there was no ice, and the poor value (my husband and I can afford it but we just felt like it was comparable to paying $2.50 for a can soda from a soda machine when most machines these days are $1 per can) we will not be returning to The Char any time soon.
