I cannot stress enough on how this is the worst subway I have ever been to. The workers are slow and incompetent. They have no courtesy for their customers time whatsoever. They all work at a sloths pace which is very disturbing for a sandwich shop . I have never been so frustrated with a "fast food" chain until I visited this place . If you have another option I'd chose it . Mr pickles isn't far away by the way and their customer service and service in general is 100% better . As I am paying for my sandwich I realized my son had gotten some chips . I said sorry can you charge me the chips also I didn't realize my toddler had opened a bag so I would like to pay so I told her to add the chips and I said might as well make it a combo please and she slams the register and says sorry no I can only charge you for the chips no combo and I kept telling her to charge me for a drink itself and she said no that she was only gonna charge me for the chips what the ??? So I can't purchase a small drink ! I'm sure I can buy a small drink even if it's not a combo she's so rude ! Service is hit & miss here. I went in Friday & there was 1 person ahead of me & 3 employees behind the counter. Not so much as a greeting, but one girl looked me straight in the eye & then said something to her co worker in Spanish(who looked me right in the eye after) & continued to ignore me while playing with the produce containers. This store has really gone downhill lately. The young female employee is not fit to serve customers. No greeting. No smile. Minimal interaction. The last two times I visited the store, she was on her cell phone. The entire time it was like we disturbed her. The last visit (and I mean the LAST time I will EVER patronize this location!), she was again, on her cell phone, sitting in a corner eating. No greeting, as usual. She looked up and said "I'm eating lunch...". I should have left then, but instead waited a few moments and just looked at her. Eventually she stood up, washed her hands and mumbled something. I asked if she was ready and she mumbled something inaudibly. Then she raised her voice and angrily said "I SAID I'M READY TO TAKE YOUR ORDER!!" I turned and walked out. So disappointed with this person who is a younger female who made our sandwiches. She was on the phone (AirPod) as she was taking my order rudely like she was annoyed because I had to order more that one sandwiches. She kept making mistakes with what I ordered so I had to continuously repeat myself well duh of course because she was talking on her AirPods while taking my order so obviously she's not paying attention to what I'm saying. I just find this kind of hilarious- we ordered a 6" sub and it was prob 6 1/4 when she was done cutting but she noticed it was just a teeeeny bit to long, so she cut off that extra 1/4 to throw it away.... I mean really, lets just waste it instead of maybe just giving the customer a little extra. I've been going here lately almost every other day since I wanted to eat a little healthier and I haven't went shopping for a bunch of groceries. The staff here are pretty quick and are always helpful and friendly. They even let customer use the bathroom when it is mainly for employees. They always check my ID if I use my credit card and they keep the place clean and running like a well oiled machine. This is one of my fav Subway's in the bay. read more

If I could give just a half star, that's what they'd get, and only because of the fact that they sell food and I love food..other than that..well, to start the service is always hit or miss. It's like they train some people, and and let others just do things how they want to. Some of the girls even have to be told how to do it after they decided to wreck it two or three times instead of asking for help. I hate being given attitude because I ask them to adjust the lettuce to veggie ratio (I didn't order a lettuce sandwich bitch) and being looked at strangely when I tell them an ENTIRE handful of jalapeños on a 6 inch is a little excessive. Why work in customer service if you're not happy serving customers to their liking? It's Beyond me. Final thought: I will give them the fact that the little shop is usually pretty clean, and the sodas cold. Can't think of any other compliments..parking is awkward and small. I guess if you're trying to avoid the surrounding fast food joints this is the place to go, however if you like getting what you paid for without being made to Feel like shit about it, you won't like it here. And maybe I'm a little pissed at them too becase I applied to work here a while back (shut up, a jobs a job) and they always act like I never turned in a resume and they've never seen me before in their lives. This subway is WAY better than the one on Concord Blvd, food tastes fresher, and you don't have to face bratty teenagers from the surrounding schools. They were training and hiring new employees the day I went, the only thing I have to say is that the store owners seem to get in the way of the employees.. They try to "help" ring up customers and what not but are incredibly slow and not personable. Ramon was nice, although he didn't make my sandwich he did make a recommendation and I ended up loving it! Overall, some of the new employees need to learn how to smile, say hello, and look like they're happy to have a job. But other than that this is my go to location for subway in my area, don't make the mistake and go to the other on Concord Blvd!!! read more

Our family ate here yesterday. The lady behind the counter was extremely polite and friendly. Everything tasted great, my husband and I had Tuna Sandwiches and our kids had roast beef. Well why one star? We were violently sick, throwing up and still have stomach pains! I'm beyond disgusted! But fortunately our kids weren't sick. Had a tuna on sourdough. Horrible! Bread was at least two days old. Skimped on tuna. Store closes early every night and employee is put out if you come in after 9pm suppose to be open til 10 pm. Will not be going back. Stay clear of this Subway Store. read more

Ok place to get a sandwich, usually you don't have to wait too long. The customer service could be a bit better. The sandwiches are usually a hit or miss, when trying something that I haven't had. Out of all the Subways' in Concord, I will always come to this one. The people actually put real love into making your sandwich. They do not skimp you on anything, if you feel like you deserve more, talk with the employees and be honest. There's a rule they follow and if you want extra it costs more. People always talk bad without realizing the good effort people put in. As a regular, I always get greeted with a smile and respect. Which in turn makes me want to tip the workers. The reviews on this site are from idiots who did not get what they wanted. Life will not hand you fairy tales and fantasies. Deal with it and grow up. I used to be a regular to this subway, located on corner of Clayton Rd and Bailey Rd. However, tonight I went in planning to take advantage of the 2 footlongs for $5 each. I ordered 2 turkey footlongs ( 1 with extra meat) and a 6 inch roast beef. Guy making my sandwiches said I was eligible for this deal. However, after sandwiches were already made and I was paying for it, another guy tells me I'm not eligible for it. His 1st reason was that I ordered a roast beef. When I caught him in that lie, cause the roast beef was a 6 inch, he changed the story to it's cause I got extra meat on 1 sandwich. I asked y he couldn't just add the $1 for extra meat to the $5 deal and he said cause computer won't let him. I feel that they just look for any reason to not be able to honor the specials they offer. When I confronted him about this, he got very hostile and very rude. 1st guy was very nice and didn't agree w his co worker. But this second guy, I believe a manager, was very rude, hostile and should never work in any job that has to deal w helping customers! After going to this location for over 15 yrs, I will no longer return unless I receive a refund on the extra $10 my meal cost and a SINCERE apologyfrom this second guy. This particular Subway is horrible. The service is bad. The workers are rude & lazy. They make the sandwiches half assed. I asked for sourdough & they gave me italian; I couldn't tell by the look of the bread while they were making it but when I got home & actually held it & tasted it that's when I knew. I got my steak sandwich toasted & when I went home & started eating about half way through my sandwich the meat was cold. All I got was a 6 in! I mean come on people get it together!
