I don't know if the previous people were better. We ordered a Nobby burger, Petit burger, Fries and Onion rings. Cheese skirt was good. Happened to be in town and stopped by. I probably wont be back. Finally we have one here in Chico!…read more Not having ever tried Cane's chicken, I couldn't wait to try it. Went on the first day, and the place was jam packed - line well out the door. Waited patiently, got a box combo, and, well, here are my thoughts... The bread was pretty good, good texture, spongy and toasty-tasting. Buttered well. And I liked the sesame seeds on it. Fries were okay, but they were steaming and crunchy upon arrival. Chicken was also steaming. It was pretty tasty, nice crunch, decent seasoning, but it didn't wow me, as I had been expecting. Cole slaw was your typical slaw. Theirs was a little bit drier, which I prefer. Now on to the sauce. It tasted like Ranch dressing, but with a twist. Hard to explain. It worked well with the chicken and bread. The workers were all very helpful and cheerful. I would like to come back here again when it's less busy inside. The restaurant had a laid-back style, making it a fun hang-out place.

It was packed in there too! I didn't want anything since we had already had a burger but my boyfriend wanted a burger animal style. It was getting warm in the afternoon so I went back to my car with my puppy and put the air conditioner on. 20 minutes later he comes out with the burger and fries. Honestly...I wasn't happy about the long wait! It's a tight drive thru as well. I would recommend going on off times when they are not slammed! Personally not worth the hype. They need 2 lanes since they are super busy! The Yuba City location isn't as busy as this one!

Seriously their food competes with the best in the Mission in SF, for the entire ten years I've lived here it's held strong. I get the shrimp fajita burrito but any burrito is always big with everything evenly distributed, you get all the ingredients including meat from first to last bite. My husband always gets the street tacos, one of each meat because he can never pick just one. I will finally stop pretending there might be something better out here and know my money is well spent here.

Delicious meal @ The Cheese Steak Shop in Chico, CA. !!…read more I placed a to-go order at the counter with a fine young gentlemen, who was courteous and friendly. The restaurant itself was modest and somewhat dated, but clean with an ample amount of tables and chairs. There were also straightforward instructions on a wall and a detailed menu above the ordering counter. We enjoyed a full Western Cheesesteak, half of a Classic, and perfectly cooked curly fries. Everything was delicious! The tender meat and melted cheese paired great with their fresh, flavorful hot & sweet peppers!! We would eat here again when we make it back to Chico for sure! Thank you.

My husband I both ordered the Chicken/Beef Teriyaki combination. The proteins were chopped up fine, crispy and plenty of it. We both had the noodles. My husband ate the ENTIRE meal before we left the restaurant. It comes all wrapped and ready to go. If you want to sit there, you're good to go. I had mine for 3 separate meals. For the $12.00 price, such a deal ! BTW, this is a small little spot in a busy shopping mall. Maybe 10 small tables. Not a place to bring a big family unless you all carry the boxes out to the car !
