If you are looking for delicious food, fantastic customer service, and a clean and comfortable place to eat, head to Burger Shack in Los Molinos, CA. (It's diagonally across from the Umqua Bank.) Our first trip was for burgers, fries, and milkshakes, and it was a hit. I had forgotten how great fresh French fries cooked in clean oil can taste. Wow! So good! And the food is fixed after you order it- - Not sitting for hours under a heat lamp. The burgers were tasty and the milkshakes were scrumptious. I got the Jarrisco Fruit Punch to drink, too, and it was yummy. After that, we had to return to try the next day's "Taco Tuesday", and wow! These are the best tacos we have had in Northern California! Everyone in the family loves these tacos. And they have a lot more on their menus, too, that we look forward to eating. The whole family are the biggest fans of Burger Shack, from the seven year old to the 73 year old. Besides the delicious food, the customer service is so wonderful. The people who work there are so cheerful, friendly, patient, and helpful. They make you feel welcome and important, too. This was our first visit to the Burger Shack and it was awesome! Our burgers were delicious and the fries were cooked perfectly. The fry sauce was really good too. You couldn't ask for better service and the staff were super friendly and welcoming. For a relatively small space it was really clean and the staff worked hard keeping it that way. The dining area is well laid out and the windows keep it bright. You also have a direct view of the kitchen so you can see them cook your food and also see other menu items being prepared. Pretty normal. Then the super hot microwaved bbq meat? I think it was. Definitely wasn't prepared there. And Ofer nuked, super hot temp. Burned my mouth. I asked for marinara for the stick. Nope didn't have any. The roll for the bread was super soft like a grocery store hot dog bun. After reading the menu more, almost all of their items were "frozen" or quick made items and I paid $16. The food came out hot and in a timely manner and it really hit the spot. I drive down from Washington to Chico, CA a couple of times per year and have tried every burger joint in Chico so I decided to try Burger Shack in Los Molinos. It's a small place with some inside and outside seating. The ladies working were most friendly. The burger had fresh meat (some places do not) and the toppings were also fresh. The tots were very crispy (I hate soft tots) and stout. Two of us ate for $21. Aside from being away from Chico by 25 miles, this is an excellent place to stop for your burger fix. A nice surprise. This is a funky little burger shack with both indoor and outdoor seating. We ate outdoors and even though it was 100 degrees, there was great shade and quite comfortable.
