A small amount of booths inside with a walk up window for ordering. So let's get to the star of the show.... The FOOD. I've been craving just good, bean tostados. To my tastes it always comes down to the beans and these did not disappoint. They were creamy, cheesey and delicious. The usual toppings were generous and fresh. DH had the carne asada burrito which looked and smelled great. Nice fresh asada and added rice and onions for a nice burrito with guacamole on the side. All around a really good meal. Makes me mad I waited so long to try them. But i will be back!

I shall testify to the greatness that is Johnny's Burrito in Brawley California…read more We arrived there just as the local high school got out for lunch. Teenagers were absolutely pouring into the place since it's right across the street from the high school. A security guy standing in the door waved to us and ushered us in quickly and gave us our own register ahead of everyone else, since we weren't part of the regular high school crowd. We ordered and got our food in less than five minutes even while they were probably close to 100 teenagers swarming the place. I met Stella who was guarding the restrooms, who says she has worked there for 45 years. The place opened in 1963. The lunch rush is total chaos, but she took absolutely no crap from any of those kids, and they were very respectful, especially to her. Every one of the staff was really polite and kind, even a mid the lunchtime chaos. All of the meat is local, and they butcher it right there in the kitchen. It is still the best burrito we've ever had, and we make it a point on our drives from Arizona to San Diego to stop there each way. Absolute perfection.

But I can't deny that this place provides good service, accuracy, and food I can depend on during midnight munchies or a break from late night hours at work. I feel odd giving a fast food joint anything above 3 stars, but this place cannot be denied the praise that it deserves. This is one of the only places open all night. My only qualm, is that they shut their shake machine down after 11pm. Meaning, if you're craving some very delicious ice cream...search elsewhere after 11pm. Also, be aware that this place gets back between 01:30a.m.-03:30a.m. because of all the people hitting up Jack after partying the night away. Be ready for some longer lines.
