Don't come to this location if you're hoping to use coupons because they don't accept them. Unpleasant and unfriendly workers who look like they're being bothered; plus rude manager/owner who wouldn't even honor the coupons even after the sandwiches were already made. I guess they'd rather waste food and not make some profit. We ended up walking out of there and going to another nearby subway that took the coupons without hesitation and displayed better customer service. Something this place needs to learn from to retain its customers. read more

UPDATE: JULY 21, 2020 SUBWAY APP WIDENS GAP BETWEEN YOU AND COVID COOTIES! The COVID-19 pandemic has changed my mind about using the SUBWAY® app to pre-order (with "no contact" pre-pay) my subway sandwiches, then quickly pick them up at the store counter, rather than wait inside the store, while they prepare my order, and then pay at the register, thus increasing my chances of breathing in Covid aerosol cooties. Welcome to the 2020 "NEW NORMAL"! APP NO LONGER CLAPTRAP CRAP Fortunately, Subway has improved the app so that now it ACTUALLY WORKS! Though it is still a little claptrappity. Before, I was not even able to register. Before 2020, not having a working restaurant/grocery/other essential app was only a matter of commercial incompetence. Now, it's a matter of life and death! NO CURBSIDE PICKUP TO GUARANTEE AGAINST "AIR WAKE" AEROSOLS The Crossroads SUBWAY® does not offer curbside pick up, which is a new feature offered on the latest version of the Subway app, but only available at "participating stores". Franchise owner Fazio (a real character and a good egg) says when orders are left outside, homeless people come around and eat them. But aren't they supposed to not bring them out until customers text that they have arrived and are parked at a special "curbside pick up" parking space? This way, the customer does not have to go inside the store at all, and risk albeit very brief "covid coverage" (if you come in at "pick up time") by walking into other customers' indoor "air wakes" (trails of exhaled breaths). But Fazio says that it's really not necessary since this restaurant has doors at both ends of the store propped open for ventilation. OTHER SUBWAYS W/O "STEREO VENTILATION" CLEARLY NEED CURBSIDE PICK-UP! This is nice as I do know that the Overlake Subway (next to old Sears bldg) and the one on 140th Ave NE (by Safeway just north of Bell-Red Rd) definitely do NOT have "stereo ventilation" doors, that is, doors at both ends of the restaurant. They instead, only have one entrance. Those two stores DEFINITELY need "curbside pick up". It is therefore very important (and now required in WA) to MASK UP in these stores! CURBSIDE CURTESY But keep in mind that the best (N95) masks are still reserved only for healthcare workers during this pandemic. Any mask is better than no mask. But no mask is a substitute for social distancing, washing hands, and staying home. Or in this case, staying outside while your order is brought to you curbside. But especially since restaurant workers often are rushed, perhaps a small "curbside curtesy" charge or optional tip would be appropriate, if that's what it takes to get all "participating" take out restaurants without drive-through service to participate (the McDonald's across the street has both). UPDATE: MARCH 26,2019 SUBWAYS NOT ACCEPTING COUPONS This (Crossroads) subway no longer accepts coupons. A sign on the door says "This subway no longer participates in accepting coupons". Though it is unclear if they accept digital coupons from the Subway app. I say this as the next nearest Subway (near the closed down Overlake Sears) has a sign saying "not accepting printed coupons", implying that they still do acccept digital coupons. SUBWAY CORPORATE TOO CHEAP?! I asked Crossroads Subway why they no longer accept coupons. Answer: they don't make enough money with them. Apparently Subway Corporate does not remunerate Subway franchises for the cost of redeeming (printed?) coupons. Or maybe it is just too much of a hassle to have to mail back coupons to Corporate HQ to get remunerated for them. My guess, 10 years from now printed coupons will be dinosaurs with digital coupons replacing them. ATTN:SUBWAY CORPORATE I guess I'm going to have to get used to digital coupons. If your subway app does not already have TouchID, but instead requires, (UGH!) PASSWORDS, get TouchID! Of course, the newer iPhones use FaceID. Get that too. But for those of us who still have the older iPhones, just be sure to include TouchID! Another thing, if you MUST be too cheap to pay your franchisees enough to hassle with printed coupons, then don't bother wasting time, money, and trees printing them off in the first place. I downgraded this review from five stars to four stars as I still like the food and the people in the Crossroads Subway. But I won't be coming in as often unless I can manage to redeem coupons off of the Subway app. Also, stop requiring people to enter in their phone number if they do choose to use your app. Instead, make it optional for those who want to receive texts. I for one do not wish to run the risk of "having my name and number sold down the river", then start getting a barrage of Robo calls. (see May 2019 issue of cult "Consumer Reports" magazine)The only way to guarantee that not happening is by not giving out the information in the first place. I don't write reviews for fast food chains and franchises but I am today because I want to share something with y'all today. I drive past 3 other subway joints to eat at this one. Why? It's because they do a better job than any other location. These people make GOOD LOOKING sandwiches. They don't just slap your sandwich together. They line up the tomatoes neatly down the middle. They do the same w the pickles and cucumbers. The lettuce is spread evenly across the whole sandwich. The sauces are distributed evenly as well. And since they do this, EVERY BITE IS PERFECT. Maybe I'm petty and picky af. But unless you enjoy exhaling an internal sigh of disappointment because half your tomatoes are sliding off your sandwich before they wrap it up coz you KNOW it's going to make the bread all soggy and gross to pick up - get your sandwiches here. And to the owners, operators, employees, and sandwich artists at this location - please continue to do what you do. Please don't ever stop caring. As long as you don't ever drop your standards, I'll continue to support your business. Thank you for doing what your doing. read more

Absolutely rude and had no respect for vegetarians. The woman that took my order, did not smile and had an attitude from the start. I requested she use a clean knife and she insisted the knife was clean. At the end she pulls a knife out from some container, that is not visible, and wiped it on the side of the container. I could see something stuck on the knife. She proceeded to put it in the sandwich to close it and then cut it with this"clean" knife. Then we spoke to the owner, who was not receptive to what we had to say and started saying "you people" always complain. He also stated that all Subway's are the same..... NOT AT ALL! Other ones are nice and get a clean knife from the back. Please learn something from your friends at Subway on Northup Way. You use a dirty knife, have a bad attitude and then use derogatory words towards a customer that just wanted a clean vegetarian sandwich. I really love the service at my Subway. Especially the joy the (I'm guessing manager or asst. manager) has with customers. I picked up my order and he asked who ordered a certain sub and when I said that was mine he was happy and told me I was going to enjoy my life. He was right! It was delicious, but what made it extra special was his happiness. I couldn't see his name, but this man's wonderful attitude is delightful and exactly what makes the world a better place. read more

Ordered 3 separate subs from this location. Threw them all out. The order was for 2 of them to come with listed dressing, and one with out. Upon meal time, as we unwrapped them, all had enough "sauce" and dressing to completely soak the sandwiches. They got the order wrong for one of them, and all 3 sandwiches were inedible. They were truly disgusting. We took them back asking for them to remake them. The owner refused. Never again. We spent a ridiculous amount to end up with food we couldn't eat. read more

It's just average, it's just Subway... and they don't have avocados like the Westlake Subway does. So three stars. The staff here, particularly the happy, cute woman [I'd be more descriptive but I can't remember her name and she's the only female I've ever seen working at this location] is generally friendly and usually my sandwiches are well made. My boyfriend, however has a generally different experience considering he gets the notoriously messy Meatball Marinara and half the time his meatballs fall out. But we cannot expect perfection for $5. They would still be getting four stars if they still had the all-day breakfast menu. Subway breakfast sandwiches are definitely one of my favourite ways to wake up, and when this location continued to make the breakfast sandwiches all day, I made a point to come here at least on a weekly basis to encourage them to keep it. However, not enough other people did, because the sandwiches are gone. Le sigh. read more

Hot dawg! No, not hot dawgs, silly! Seriously, I went here last night and it was hoppin. There were about 8 people in front of me, but that little chicken with his head cut off behind the counter was working his tail like Shakira. I was amazed at how quick they got to me and got me a sammich made! And he did a decent job with it too. I eat here at this subway location a lot and i've enjoyed their food each time. But of course like all subways, there is always something a bit different about each location. For one, i am glad this is not like the Subway in Redmond where they forgot to switch out their gloves that they were previously cleaning with cleaner. This Subway actually takes all the right steps of making sure your food is fresh, served correctly and the workers know how customer service works. With a smile. The Food here has been great so far with the occasion of giving me old lettuce. It's always the lettuce too that seems to go bad if you leave it out for too long. But besides that, the subs taste delicious. I will note however that every subway location does this, they put such a little amount of meat on your sub that all you see and taste when biting down is bread and lettuce. Such a big disappointment. Sometimes i get an extra slice, sometimes i get bread. I dislike their marketing and advertising because it is the most disappointing and misleading thing in the world. If you want the meats, go to Arbys, Jimmy Johns or Togo's for a damn good sub filled with meat. Location wise this place is in the worst spot. It is on a small lot on a busy street and is slightly elevated above the street, so you're forced to turn right and drive up a small hill to park in the first two to three parking spots, next to the ice cream joint it shares a space with. Very terrible location. I wish they would consider finding a lot next to the mall. They would get a ton more customers. But the inside of this subway is the biggest subway i've seen. I hardly see but 1 person sitting down eating lunch in here but there is a lot of walk space for everyone. So overall i'll have to give it an average of 3/5. They are good on service, food is mainly good but with such little meats even on a footlong, you're left feeling hungry afterwords. However it always taste great but location could be better. read more

Sometimes a person gives a request and expect to be let down. Not at this subway. You ask and you shall receive. Need more pickles? No problem. More lettuce? Spinach? More sauce? A dollop? I went by the subways at crossroads plaza ordered a sub of the day footlong to my astonishment they did not offer the $6 meal to me for that sub so that being said I enjoyed the meal but will not go back simply because they do not honor their Subway pledge for meal of the day prices read more

They refuse to tune in a friggin' radio station and so one gets to eat their lunch to loud crackles and annoyingly fading in and out talk and music. And it's often religious radio so I get to hear about how I need to be spending more time worshiping that big fairy godfather in the sky who will make things all better....after we die. Just the right environment to relax as you get away from work for a few minutes. The people themselves are nice. read more

I am currently going crazy for their February all for $5 foot longs. There is a very nice Hispanic worker there and he would always greet us very friendly and other workers who would help customers out when they need it (disabled). When I request something simple like a bit more of the sauce, unlike other Subway, most of the time, they would add what I asked without a sign of annoyance. Their subway, I'd say is the best I've eaten, and they constantly have me going back there when my boyfriend would wanted a Chipotle. It's been quite a while and so far they haven't messed up my order at all. Hope I don't jinx it!! )X read more

The staff here are fast & accurate, even if some of them don't speak English the best yet -- or loud enough, so speak up & ask them to as well, they won't mind. ;-) The owner/manager is friendly & helpful when he's around; his staff are simply too busy to be anything more than adequately courteous, but that's the trade-off for the careful & rapid service. One of the worst Subway i have been to. Been here 3 times with different group of friends and they have managed to screw up the order every single time for all of us. I visit here often and would consider myself a regular. Usually on the way home from work. Never too crowded so you get out quick. Manuel is there most times and he is great. Fast and friendly service. Cookies are always soft and delicious. I like to get the Spicy Italian. read more

This Subway isn't too much different from other versions of this store. Sometimes I get a friendly staff member, sometimes not. There is occasionally a communication barrier and I have to repeat my request several times (but that is not usually the case). When I've asked for extra veggies, it's never happened (and I laugh at the poster on the wall talking about getting all these servings of veggies in- the picture sure doesn't look like what I usually end up with!). Overall, I will continue to hit this place up occasionally, as it's convenient to my house and I've never had any major problems there. read more

The service is just like what you would get at other Subways. Their coupon policy is weird. I have been to Subways at Redmond DT, Bellevue DT and the one in Overlake and they never had trouble accepting coupons. However, this one refused to accept the Subway coupon and refused to let me talk to their manager. I am certainly not going back to this one again when there are plenty of nicer ones around. read more
