He must've been tied up because I texted around 445 and asked what time he'd come by because I hadn't heard. Said he got caught up on a drain and asked if we could shoot for the next day (Wednesday). That was no problem, I know things happen and coming by same day was a bit of a long shot. Wednesday came and went, didn't hear from Eli. I ended up texting Eli this morning (Thursday) just after 8am asking if there was any chance he'd be able to come by today, and he didn't respond all day. I'm a pretty understanding person, things happen, he probably had jobs scheduled. I truly didn't even expect he'd have time until next week, but he offered earlier. I'm ok if things come up, but communication is important. Just let me know. Don't ignore my texts. Just communicate and don't leave people hanging. Found a different company this afternoon and they scheduled the service on Saturday. We have a lot of work that needs to be done and are trying to find a company to help with all of it, and we won't be using or recommending Glacier to anyone anytime soon. So disappointed.

The owner, Eli, is now trying to shake me down for more money and threatening legal action in an attempt to get paid for days on which he did not show up. This business has no online presence or registered address, and he is likely not licensed to be performing this type of work. Avoid avoid avoid.

I was a client of Bishop Pool Service for about five years. I inherited them from the previous…read moreowner, so they're well aware of my pool being a saltwater pool. That said, it was always a challenge to get them to use salt instead of chlorine when they would adjust chemicals and clean my pool. No matter how many times I asked, they would forget and continue to use chlorine, which unfortunately was too harsh on my toddler's skin. I made multiple calls about this and reminded the technicians multiple times about this, but I would still get a new technician every six to nine months, and I had to start all over again. The two straws that broke the camel's back were: 1. A 30% increase in monthly pricing 2. A new technician explaining that the reason they can't add salt is because it slows down his route I switched over to Ralphie's Pool Service and am already much, much happier. Ralphie's pricing is significantly less expensive, they bring their own pool salt, and they don't even charge you for the salt. Bishop also charges $300 to clean pool filters compared to $100 with Ralphies. Joel (my technician for the past year at Bishop) was awesome btw.

It was well worth the drive from Stockton to Rancho Cordova to find a place that cares about their customers and takes time to answer all your questions.
