**I highly DO NOT RECOMMEND this place** For the first time, I went there to get my root colored by Anne, but the color did not stay at all. Second time, I called the salon to make another appointment with Stacy, but I never heard from them for two days while I kept calling and by leaving a voice message, and I had to send a message on Yelp after leaving a voice message. Stacy started reaching out to me via text, but since it was getting lengthy and going over the same Q&As, I decided to actually go to the salon for a consultation. When I went there, she confirmed the price as well as the exact treatment to be done, so I made two appointments with her to conduct whatever we agreed upon after several text exchanges and the actual consultation. The next day, she texted me and said she and her manager discussed this and decided to charge way more than what had been agreed on (initially it was ~$200 and now the option was ~$500 and more). To summarize, I just wasted my time and effort with this place overall. I don't get why they would change the price drastically while they are the professionals, and I just believe they are trying to charge as high as they could from me. I introduced my colleague to the salon, and she had a poor experience from a stylist there as well; so we will never go there. Lastly, even after introducing me colleague, I was refused to get any discounts. Just wanted to provide my feedback to help others from going through the same frustrating process that I went through. read more

Cutting curly hair isn't easy in the first place, but Stacy takes it to an art form. At the age of 43, my hair suddenly went curly. Could be a good thing, but no one could cut it so I didn't look like Bozo the clown. I actually stopped a woman on the street, who had a gorgeously casual cascade of curls, and asked her who cut her hair. She said Stacy at Sublime Salon. Stacy has been cutting my hair for over a year now. It looks great and is utterly easy to take care of (literally scrunch and go). He doesn't just do the "curly cut" -- he takes into account all the nuances of the way your hair moves and creates a cut that goes with them. read more

I am an easy customer as far as hair goes- I understand that it will grow back and a bad cut is only temporary, so I have no problem trying out someone new. I love Sublime! I have very straight hair, which it turns out is hard to cut well. Stacy is a perfectionist and every since he started cutting my hair i've been thrilled. Whether I jump out of the shower and go, or take the time to blow it dry, my hair looks fantastic. The salon is lovely. If you're looking for loud music and lots of chaos, this is not your place. This salon is super cute from the outside to the inside! I was super nervous because I was getting color which I have never done before. So I arrive and they are very welcoming! I had an Appointment with Kelly and she was amazing! I showed her a picture of what I wanted and she asked a couple of questions, gave some tips and then began. She offered something to drink while we waiting for her to be ready. Now Kelly did an AMAZING job with my hair it's exactly how I wanted it and it looks amazing. Toyo is awesome! I have been getting my haircut in the high end salons in Tokyo for years. If you want to get hair services that you would get in central Tokyo, he is it. His prices are not cheap and you need to wait for almost a month for an appointment (other than for a haircut presumably). But it's worth it. read more

After moving to Seattle, I tried several hair salons. Sublime is the best. Nothing will go wrong by their hair stylists. Stylists listen to what you want and what you don't want. Their techniques are impeccable. It is not easy to book an appointment for weekends. Try to book 2 months in advance. read more

Had my hair done by Erica and couldn't love it more! She took my brassy brownish(wannabe blonde). To an amazing bright blonde that was exactly what I was looking for!! She was very professional and sweet and I have found my permanent salon in Seattle. I have also seen Kelly before and I was super thrilled with the results that she got in the color of my hair. Anne M is totally awesome! She's knows hair. She asks questions to help you figure out what you want, and then off she goes, clippers and hair flying! I stumbled upon Sublime after my stylist, Shain, moved there from Lucky 7. I can not rave enough about how wonderful Shain and Sublime is! Every time I go in, their staff is friendly, knowledgeable and personable. As a NYC transplant, I can't tell you how I love their high end service with moderate price range. Shain does an amazing job with my hair no matter how wild or crazy the request. With short hair, my options are limited, but the colors and styles Shain devises are nothing short of breath taking. Even months after I get a new do, people comment on how amazing the color is- almost like I got the style yesterday. As a woman on a budget, Shain does a great job creating a look that's lasting, even if it's months until my next appointment. If you haven't been, you're missing out on a true gem! read more

Let me just start by saying if I could give this place 10 stars I would! I love everthing about this salon. I've been looking for a new place for a while, I've not had alot of luck. It seems like alot of hairstylist don't really listen to what you want, instead giving you what they think will look good on you. I know they are supposed to be the professionals but I also know my hair. I have very curly, kinky hair. If it's not cut right I end up looking like a tree sprouted from my head. Not a good look. Anyway I found this place just by walking by and decided to give it a try. I liked it from the start. The receptionist was so nice, and I don't mean in that fakey kind of way. It was only a few minutes before my stylist, Shain, was with me. I told him what I DIDN'T want and what I did. We came up with a haircut and color that we both thought would look good. He made me feel very comfortable and was easy to talk to. All I can say is my hair has never looked better, or felt better. It felt really great to finally leave a place and not have a frizzy mess on my head. I highly recommend Sublime Salon and Shain. read more

I've been constantly calling for 3days straight to set an appointment. Nobody answers. I left numerous of voicemail to set an appointment. Yet no one has yet to respond back. I assume with so much good views, they were probably busy so I decided to drive up there. I live in Tacoma, Wa by Tacoma Mall. So driving from here to there is from 45min to an hour long. Drove there to find out they were close for inspection. Working from Wed-Saturday 7am-7pm it's hard to find time that would benefit both me and the stylist. However, I assume I over reacted on there last minute close-down I decided to go up there again on a Tuesday. Still, nobody picks up my calls, respond to my messages, I decided to drive up there again. And once AGAIN, A WASTE OF TIME!!!!!! nobody was there to even open the door!!!!! THE STORE HAD A OPENING SIGN ON AND DOOR WAS LOCK. two people were there and NOBODY came to the door. And when I finally did get notice, they told me it was a FULL SCHEDULE!!!! This SALON is not worth the stress. Unprofessional and unreliable customer service. I feel like they pick and choose who they want to help. This place should be shutdown for good or at least train people who can bring customers rather than turning them away. read more

I got my hair cut/colored by Kali for years at a different salon and then she moved out of state for awhile. I tried MANY salons around Seattle, some that are top-rated on Yelp, and the results were lackluster and just plain disappointing. Kali is B-A-C-K and better than ever! She is definitely a master at coloring/highlights and has an intuitive sense of what colors will work with your skin tone. I don't want to look like a soccer mom nor do I want to look like a 15-year-old and she totally gets it. She'll show you color samples and asks great questions to really get a sense of what you want. Her cuts are precise and, again, she knows what works with the shape of your face, lifestyle, etc. She's great at listening to what you want and making suggestions. I swear I didn't get compliments on my hair during the few years she was gone and now, since she's been back, I have gotten tons of compliments on my hair! Kali has also made great recommendations (not pushy at all) about products that have really made a difference in the texture and fullness of my hair. Plus, she is easy to talk to and has a great personality which makes the overall experience of getting my hair cut enjoyable again. Make an appointment - you won't be disappointed. read more

i don't actually live in seattle, i was in town for a klaxons gig and was in dire need of shampoo blow dry the next day before my flight from all that sweaty dancing the night before. i called a little before 10 and was able to get an appointment and i went straight there from my hotel. it was very close which was awesome and though my stylist arrived a few minutes after i did i didn't mind the wait since they went next door and got me an iced coffee (in a glass!) i wish i could remember her name because she was great. she was an african american girl, maybe mixed, very pretty and she was super fun and did everything exactly how i wanted. she blow dried my hair with a lot of volume and then went back and put a little wave in my hair with a curling iron and sprayed some b & b sea salt spray (which i don't really love anymore) but my hair looked fantastic, even though my ends were fried to hell from overprocessing. if i'm ever in town i'd love to visit her and the salon again. highly recommended. read more
