Sasha is super friendly and has many years experience here and altogether. We went over styles I was considering and she talked to me every step of the way to ensure I was getting what I requested. It ended up a little shorter but I loved the style! She cut it dry to see how my hair would lay then washed and styled it all the while we chatted and got to know each other. A friend of mine who works at MAC in Meadowood Mall recommended her to me, and I decided to get my first Brazilian from her today because I heard such great things. Not only was it quick and barely hurt (she does it UBER quickly using only two strips of hard wax for each side), she's very experienced (worked for Aveda for over 5 years), is a diligent perfectionist (making sure to get every single stray and fine hair), and is a super sweet, funny, great conversationalist (which makes the time fly and puts you COMPLETELY at-ease even when you are totally spreading your legs at her like you're giving birth! I totally felt like I was chatting with a friend like normal LOL). She is also very knowledgable, and I trust that her other services will be just as excellent as her waxing. I'm excited to go back to her to get eye-lash extensions as she's advertising $125 for a full set right now. I already made my next appointment to get waxed again next month. I was impressed with her knowledge, and how well she listened. Best cut I've ever seen on hubby, he looks super hot, and I love my cut, too. I have very thick hair, but I also like layering. Josie is a rare find, she has expertise with dry cuts, and uses a special technique with layering that doesn't make the hair thin, or get split ends. Another reason I chose Tribe is their commitment to safer and more natural color products. It doesn't smell like chemicals when you walk in the door, that' s good sign. I'm chemically sensitive, but have no issues with their products. Josie is really good with color matching. My first color treatment was similar to what I've done in the past, and I liked it, but on the next visit wanted something bolder. Her next recommendation was to try violet, and I'm absolutely in love with it! It's fun to work with someone who will truly consult with you, and be open to trying new looks. I stopped by recently to buy hair products, and Josie showed me how to properly use them. Their at-home products are Oribe, same brand as the color line, I believe, and they are luxurious and effective. I'm now able to rock my style for multiple days between washings. I highly recommend Josie, and Tribe Salon, for both men and women.
