I needed my roots touched up the evening before a trip to Hawaii and Debbie was an absolute angel. She answered the phone so kindly, and when she heard it was a last minute request, she told me she was the owner and was willing to stay and help me. That level of care meant so much. My reviews are not normally very long but this has to be the exception. To start off I have been cutting my own hair since COVID and learned to do a decent job and my previous stylist also moved out of state. This has been my second visit to 3:16 and the service level has been amazing on both visits. The first visit my stylist was kind and professional and did an excellent job. On my second visit the previous stylist was not working so the owner offered to do the cut for me instead. She offered a wash, which I always love getting my scalp massaged, but I had just showered so it was just the cut for me. First off let me say that I have been to those super fancy and expensive barbers in town that offer booze and cigars but paying tons of cash for 15-minute clipper cut was not my cup of tea. Always being leery of introducing a new stylist my mind was immediately set at ease with Debbie. The most important thing I look for in a stylist is that they cut too much or just do their own thing. Less is more in my opinion. Debbie took her time to ask specific questions as she went and at the end of the session did a once over with me to see if I wanted any adjustments. A couple more snips and the cut was perfect. I have a new favorite spot! No coincidences! New to the area and we don't have a go-to hair salon for the family. In a moment of panic after trying to set up appointments at different salons around town, we started calling different places for a last minute "soft curl" hair styling for a prom. You know how tricky that can be. In a sea of "well, just come in and we see what we can do", we got through to Debbie and her soft spoken, kind demeanor, who gave us a time and said "come on in, I'll take care of it." She communicated directly with my teenager and they hit it off. I could tell from the beginning her soul and heart are in the right place. I came here for a haircut during the summer and I loved it. My stylist Trina made me feel welcomed and comfortable. Then 6 months later I brought my baby in because she needed her bangs trimmed. I tried to trim her bangs at home but it was not the best decision and I immediately regretted it. I wished that I called the salon first so they can trim her bangs. I was told I'm sure you can get an appointment at the Ritz, where we are staying. No, we can't or we wouldn't be trying to get one here. Was getting my hair done here for a few times. Thought it was just ok. Didn't love it. Kept trying to get my son in for a cut and when I was there, my gal squeezed a guy in while mine was processing. So I tried several times to schedule him and even popped by like the guy had and she kept blowing me off. I thought even the extra 20 or 25 while someone was processing would be good for her. On top of the responses... Response rate was quicker than the others to respond to my messages, when I was looking for an immediate solution to a problem I had. This got me into booking an appointment, and I am so thankful and grateful that I did. If they hadn't responded so fast I don't think I would've met this lovely place... I had no nervousness about anything once I walked through their doors (which doesn't usually ever happen), These are my new friends. This is, imo, the top notch salon in Reno for women. I learned a lot the day of my appointment. I learned how beautiful I really am. I left with confidence and my mood was jacked up and I still feel great and better than I have in years! just from a hair salon. I'm blown away after all this time of searching. Well, no more searching. I'm 52 years old. I've never had an experience like this with a salon. I can't say enough about this place all good too. This place was completely different. EVERYONE HERE IS BEAUTIFUL! Debbie is LOVELY AND THOUGHTFUL. She honestly cares about how you feel about the haircut it's more than a haircut, though. It's a change of attitude and how you view yourself. I can't even get that from my therapist. It's important to her about how you feel and see yourself about how you look at yourself in the mirror. She goes out of her way to make sure that you're 100% satisfied before you walk out that door. It's funny, I had to convince her that I was totally satisfied... Lol.
